@@GreyBiker99 I don't think the road in the Glenniff horseshoe ever had grass growing through except for the end towards sligo .RTE irelands national broadcaster has a transmitter on one of the mountains and therefore they need access at least to the pont of the big mountain slieve more because there land is just short of that mountain.
@@Joseph13163 Maybe I'm getting it confused with somewhere else then, as I watches an awful lot of videos. The road surface was a lot better than I was expecting though.
Enjoyed that video and i will be definitely watching the rest 👍🏻. The audio is far better and more natural than your testing video of the dji mic 2, are you still using da Vinci resolve to remove wind noise ?
Thank you so much. Yes, Davinci Resolve is the only editor I use now. The free version is great but doesn’t have the voice isolation function so I use the studio (paid) version.
It’s a lovely part of the world, all my family are the other side of the country in Co Wexford, I’m based in London but back across soon, hopefully we get some decent weather!
It was our first visit to Ireland and we were bowled over by the scenery and the warmth of the people. We will definitely go back to explore more. Fingers crossed for the weather for you!
I’m from Larne the ferry port that you arrived at in Northen Ireland. If you had after the first half mile turned off the duel carriage way into Larne town it goes to a roundabout that takes you onto the A2 Coast Road which is regulars as one of the best bikers roads in the world! Very popular now as well as the Game of Thrones was filmed at multiple locations a long its route. In addition if you are into Road Racing it takes you to the world famous NW200 road track at Portrush. Sorry bit of a rant but lots of bikers appear to miss one of the most scenic riding road. But hey I ride it most weeks and I’m biased. Your trip looked fantastic and I hope it’s not long before you guys are back!
Thank you so much. We want to go back at some point to do the more northern part too. We loved the areas we did, but didn’t have long enough to explore properly. The more touristy areas can be busy but May was a good time to go. I hope you are as lucky with the weather as we were.
Thank you so much! We both have a DJI Mic2 transmitter on the inside of the chin bars of our helmets, which are wirelessly connected to our DJI Osmo Action 4 cameras. When editing, I sync the clips from the individual cameras to make sure the dialogue works. With some intercom systems I know you can get the audio straight from them, but unfortunately our Sena SRL-2's don't have that facility so we rely on the DJI Mic2's. Hope that helps.
We were very lucky indeed with the weather. We had a bit of a damp start in the next episode, but after that we managed to stay dry, which was a huge surprise 😂. I hope the weather gods smile on you and your son, as it really is quite stunning the further south you get.
Great vid mate well done. Planning to take a group there next year. Missus and I are off to Ireland in July on the bike. Leaving for a 3000 mile trip in the Alps in a couple of days, taking 8. Keep up the good work. 👍 FB oh PS I like the music adds another dimension.😎
Thank you so much. I’m very jealous of your trip to the Alps, but I’m hoping to get there next year. I enjoyed your Scotland vids so I look forward to the ones from the Alps 😁
When you arrived in Larne your route choice missed probably one of the best roads on the island. The Causeway Coast route would have taken you north along the east and north coast and would easily have linked up with where you went. Never mind ... next time!
Thank you for your comment. You are not the first to say that we missed a treat by not doing the North coast, so that is definitely on the list for next time. Unfortunately we were on a tight schedule and just couldn’t factor that in this time around. At least it gives us an excuse to come back 😁
First time watching your channel; very pleasant and relaxing…..apart from the background music which I found a bit too loud and frantic! Some Irish music would be preferable.
Thank you so much for your comment. I’m very new to this so trying to find my feet with it all. I’ll take on board what you’ve said about the music too. I did try to find some Irish music but there didn’t seem to be much of it available copyright free. I’ll keep on looking 😁
Yes, I agree with you entirely. Having to spend a couple of days in Glasgow limited our time a bit, but we will definitely be back to do the northern section. 😁
As a local it never fails to amaze me the amount of tourist riders that run straight across Northern Ireland as if we dont exist. At larne if you had of turned right you would have been on the best coast road in the british Isles , then you could have went on to the overrated waw.
Many thanks for taking the time to comment. I have had several messages saying we missed some amazing scenery in NI by not following the coast West from Larne. Unfortunately on this occasion we were under time constraints as we had to be in Wales for a certain date, but were really surprised how beautiful the Sperrin area of NI was as we crossed it to get to Belleek. The thing is the WAW is very well marketed, so that's where everyone goes (a bit like the NC500), but I'd never even considered the NI coast for a road trip simply because I knew nothing about it, as it seems to be a bit of a secret. Needless to say, we will definitely return to explore the NI coast after hearing from so many people that we missed a treat. Thanks for your recommendation.
@@GreyBiker99 As we are a nation of bikers, we keep it a secret as we dont want the camper vans spoiling it. LOL . Look up the BBC coverage of the Northwest 200 road race its on part of the route and you'll see what its about. Robert
Excellent video, looks like you had a blast.
Thank you for your kind comment. We really enjoyed the whole trip.
Nice video, Ireland 🇮🇪 is a great place to ride and explore!!
Thank you! 🙏 It was our first visit to Ireland but it certainly won’t be our last.
Born in London, I have lived here for the last 20 years on the wild Atlantic way amongst the nicest people on earth
You are very lucky. It’s a lovely part of the world and the people really are so nice and friendly.
