HEPA filters don't filter fumes! Carbon filters do if the air flow is low enough.

What if you went to use an external filament dryer? Is it easy to do?
How does it print dimensionally? If I want to print accurate parts can it do it and repeat well?

I'm loving the Adventurer 4, it produces some great results!

If you have time would you mind answering a few questions? does it just come with just a brass 0.4 nozzle? is the high temp nozzle hardened steel?
Where is the best place to purchase additional nozzles? How good is that extruder, I ask as the plastic ones always crack and need replacing with an aluminium one or a Bondtech
Sorry about all the questions but I have been stung by Creality 3 times with printers that came with faulty parts and bent leadscrews and smooth rods and pathetic lazy firmware and I just want a decent printer that prints without me having to rebuild it and upgrade it.
I have my deposit down for a Prusa XL but I need a reliable machine until the XL arrives and I think the FF Adventurer 4 is that printer, of course the second it arrives a new model will be released LOL

Can I close the door while printing or will it then get too hot for printing in the printer?
Kann ich die Türe während des druckens schliessen oder wird dass dann im Drucker zu heiss für den Druck ?

I have the giantarm d200 and it has similar proprietary nozzles. The nozzle cartridge contains the thermistor and the heater. The spring pin connection between the nozzle cartridge and the print head gets corrosion over time and requires periodic disassembly and cleaning with a scotch Brite pad... something I never need to do with any of my other printers.

Had one since xmas, it does what it says on the tin. No tinkering just get printing. Smallest nozzle possible is .3mm which is annoying but given the pros definitely worth it.

    • @AndrewAHayes
      @AndrewAHayes 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Like thats going to happen LOL, those carbon filters dont come cheap, I would only use it for ABS and Nylon, do you think the nozzles could be machined to accept 3rd party screw in nozzles?

@@AndrewAHayes Thank you for your reply. I'm new in 3D printing. I think if someone is skilled enough they can machine the nozzles to accept third party nozzle twisting.

Newbie here. in terms of material compatibility, Is it important to stick to the list of materials stated by the manufacturer or could I change settings to accommodate different materials not listed by the manufacturer? Ie. The manufacturer lists pla, abs, tpu only, could I use petg and others on this printer?

I dont think you can print wearable ones without splitting the file and gluing the 2 parts together as the Ender 3 is bigger and you still have to split the file on that printer

They’ve made a great product with the adventurer. Love how I’ve never had a issue ever with bed adhesion. It’s a lot of pros for this 4. But also cons. Pros: self bed level you rarely need to manual level after the initial. Easy to use touch screen. Bed adhesive is A1. Dampened springs. I can’t name everything. Cons. It’s over priced in the market of Enders and even ender clones where you can buy a enclosure for $50 with the same bed size for under $250. The software is easy to use but not the best to use, using better software makes better prints. So that’s like 40% of the brand to me. The hot end is terrible always and for the amount should already be able to at least heat polycarbonate . The print quality is not better than generic printer quality, making me question. What is generic in 3d printers if generics become the popularized brand. The reason no one will run a business with the adventurer 4 brand is because it’s a new machine dipping on a old farm. The old tools still work so where is it’s place. We already have upgraded touch and 220mm enclosed beds. A ender would still be a better choice. The adventurer 4 should have came with a 300mm bed and a upgraded hot end of at least 280. By now they should know what the community wants

The stringing issue is so bad most moving parts will be stuck and it's impossible to stop on this machine. Hairspray will help things stick but mine won't print still. It constantly stops printing so nothing ever finishes. I've spend so much time I'd of happily paid a grand just to have the last month or more I just lost back and to have never have even seen this printer. My emails are enough to write a book by now no joke. It would take me 10 min of fast scrolling just to go through all the ones in my inbox. I'll be posting it all soon as a failed venture and hopefully finding a way to reboot things since I mostly have video on a broken printer and how to upgrade something I never got to work. Maybe I wasn't meant to be a TH-camr lol

If the 4 is anything like the 3- BUYER BEWARE. I have fought an AD3 for 3 years and it now collects dust. Because the feed motor is far away from the extruder the feed gear FREQUENTLY slips, especially with ABS. This is known as 'AD3 KNOCK".Also, the filment tends to jam in the feed tube, especially with ABS. A completely new extruder drive motor did not solve the problem but made it worse as the new motor came with an 'upgraded' run out sensor which did not fit my machine. It's also hard to get tech support to help other than to refer you to the web page for part sales. Frustrating. My original FINDER is still steadily hugging along ($300 new) but my Creator Pro 2 Plus is in parts, another heating bed problem. Maybe Flashforge has had its day.

Build volume isn't big tbh the machine is. It's easy to slice and start with wifi until u have an issue then it's likely to only get worse and never print again. I have the only tips and tricks to help with the flash forge and what to expect. First day sticking problems immediately leveling issues that beta firmware force to fix but will make the CPU stop feeding the filament in middle of prints making it impossible again to print anything.
The adventure 4 has good hardware and super buggy printer killing issues that you can barely get help from support for. I assume because there isn't a fix besides replacing the CPU. Nothing works and it's super hard to repair and you can't exactly send it back so you end up stuck with something that never works with minimal upgrade ability. I will be postlu a non paid for review I bought this from flash forge directly. I have 100s of hours of failed prints. Flash print is nice but this printer is garbage. Yes nothing sticks I have tips and tricks for this printer. Qidi is a better but please don't go by these reviews it really put me in a bind with these one day reviews that never actually show you what the real printer is. I am going to be posting what you should expect when you buy one and it's not given to you for free like every review I've found. I didn't think it would matter but it really does help to have someone tell you the full story. I will be posting the most real extensive review with tips tricks and what you should expect when problem start after the first day. And it will be more than you want to handle. Good luck changing the CPU on this machine or trying to return it the first day.
