Replaced before watching and had no issues with leaving the water turned on...
Was wondering about that but didn’t wanna take a chance with water leaking. Thanks for sharing. Will try next time without shutting water off, too much hassle pulling the fridge out to get to the shutoff valve.

Clear and concise instructions. Worked just like shown except I didn't have to turn water off and put towel down. There was a small amount of water but not bad at all. This worked on a 2020 lg think inverter linear model LRFVS3006S.

I didn’t turn off water valve but it worked, except the first time I pushed for water in the glass it spewed like a mentos in a soda bottle.

is it 6 month even if you don't use much water/ice? ie is it timed or work by flow?
question-- i have replaced many water filters from previous refrigerators - this is my first LG thin Q -- do i have to turn off water valve?? I have never before with no problems?? i can not get to my valve easily, your thoughts please?
I purchased the same model # filter but it has a ring around the top the prevents placement?
Should I replace my filter every 6 months? Or wait until the notification light comes on?

LFC21776ST/05 I have the 3 door and my ice smells bad. Where can I change the filter for this fridge version
$100 a year if you change the filter out every 6 months. I waited longer and didn't smell or taste any difference.

LOL,MY LG INVERTER LINEAR FRIDGE HAS COVER COVER IT MUST REMOVE A SCREW THE COVER DOES NOT COME OFF EASY,LG MISSED THIS STEP .....
my Lmxs30776s took a dump in less than 4 years apparently they the service people said all those they put in a faulty refrigerator bottle so expect a replacement in about 4 years he told me they were all faulty, and makes ice at a snails pace like takes 6 months should of kept the ge profile double door just filled the bottle.
where is for the GS65DP1 DOOR IN DOOR
The water filter locks but when serving water is getting off and water spills all over.

I only have an ice maker. Which filter do I need?
Take the current filter out and look for the replacement number.
I am NOT enjoying my LG experience. Top filter was difficult to remove. Felt I would break it while trying to twist. Door filter access is not yet done. My door had a screw, like David Cooper’s below. I still can’t get plastic housing removed to get to door filter. Not only are the filters atrociously expensive, but then no easy customer access and replacement for these filters. LG engineers are not women friendly for what should be an easy swap for man or woman. Do designers ever consider the ease of operation for the customer? I am using pairs of plastic auto trim pry bars to avoid scratches or breakage. Still not removed housing. Also, can’t reach human being, can’t get web bot to understand REMOVE filter instructions. Only offers INSTALL filter. Would seem just follow opposite of these instructions but NOooooo....can’t get to door ice maker filter due to impossible plastic housing tabs and screw. Why doesn’t LG bring in 5 housewives to time their ease of usage, replacements, instructions to follow, etc. I consider myself very handy. But this should not be so difficult. Hate it.

I turned off the water and replaced the filter then turned the water back on. Now it has no water running after water was turned back on.

I have followed the video and it does lock in place and leaks water! The Instructions on the water filter says to Line up Arrows on the filter and connector ??? There is no arrows I can see on the water filter.. Highly Disappointed ..

Like anyone's LG fridge will last long enough to need to change the filter. LOL #LemonGoods
I love how they have so many model numbers and procedures for water filters. It's like a fun game where you gamble your money hoping you can buy the right one and try and figure out how to install it. I'll find another brand with easier to use instructions next time. LMXS28626D=stupid.
