The LG InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerator has a sleek glass panel that lets you see inside - simply knock twice. While the easy access door helps to reduce cold air loss. www.lg.com/au/f...
I have been working with Commercial and Domestic Refrigeration. I can say LG is a good product and did not deteriorate its Quality compared to other brands especially those ones that were now made in PRC.
My dad , being a mechanical engineer, always scolding me when I was aimlessly gazing into the fridge keeping the door open. He was telling me decide what you want to pick before you open the fridge door. And i was always responding that I need to know what are the items inside the fridge first! Actually doing this by other members of a family , several times a day wastes a significant amount of enegy , shortens the life of the fridge and increases the bills as well. So as junior college student, i came up with an idea, which was 100% a mechanical solution for the problem. so could have seen inside without opening the door. That was 26 years ago. 20 years later LG came with an electronic version of it👍
michael meng Glass doesn't keep the temperature steady. It tends to warm the contents instead of cooling. This is demonstrated in water bottles; "cooling" water bottles that keep in the temperature of your liquid, whether that be hot or cold, are all made out of metal/aluminum, while regular water bottles that aren't advertised as "cooling" or temperature steady are usually glass or plastic.
@Tom Slak I'd expect a fridge that costs this much that knows when it's fkn open to be able to close its self tbh. But I guess all that design and development money went into creating a revolutionary technology called a glass door
Think you missed the point that it's demonstrating, which is also visible in the video, also on your timestamp, also in English "-the window lets you check on the items inside". In this case, the bish apparently stocks her shit in semi-abundance so perhaps keeping count of things in mind for restocking the fridge, seems valid.
Anybody know if there's a button you can touch or something to avoid having to knock? (I want to use my fridge in real life, where knocking on appliances does not happen.)
I’ve been doing some research and lg has some issues with their compressors are just a few months of owning persons have complained about their fridges that have stopped cooling, has anyone experienced Any is issues?
InstaView is a non-practical gadget. It has just decorative purpose. It would take about 50 years to recover the price difference on saved electricity when compared to similar LG fridge without glass door.
The purpose of it is to reduce the frequency of opening the fridge door. Each time you open the fridge door, the motor will restart and also cool air runs out hence it will consume more power to chill the fridge. The problem I see with the fridge is it only shows you a small section of the fridge hence I would still need to open the fridge to check on the food I have on the inside.
@@holypredator very well explained 👏. I saw this fridge and it was discounted to around RM7000 which translates to around 1,700 US dollars. Have to admit, all of its quirks and features make the price seem quite reasonable. I've seen refrigerators that cost over 10K and none of them have such high-tech features like this LG fridge.
can you knock to see ALL the contents of the fridge, or only the upper right side?? Can you see what's inside via the app?? Will this app work on iphones too, or only lg phones?
There is what is called moving basket when you open the glass door. as I understand, the height can be adjusted. Can you explain how to do it because I cannot figure out.
Their shit linear inverter compressor only lasts 3 years... mine died right on spot 3 years ... now i have a huge stainless steel box. Maybe i could put it outside for the chickens to lay and hatch... pretty fridge + Short lifespan compressor= waste of money...
cant be worse than g.e. 😂 which is why we just bought this lg as an upgrade. who the hell makes a device meant to deal with moisture with low cost steel that rusts and unsealed electronics 🙈
Your a single person with a poky little space for a fridge freezer. You want it skinny with a small fridge and loads of freezer space. You want it to be smart and have a low watt foot print. You want it to be on course with sustainability and well built. What's available now what could be available tomorrow.
2.000 euros or so. My neighbors have this model just because no reason and I was curious what's the deal with it. I currently live in eastern europe, my neighbors are part of mafia clan lol. I rly doubt they connect the phone or knock the glass to see the juice inside :)))
Can someone make a video how to clean the freezer of this particular refrigerator? I have to clean this fridge every 6 month because of the ice blocking the air flow
Hello ! I really like technology among some videos that I have seen in relation to the products of Lg one called me a lot of attention, I mean the I saw that to activate the lighting it would have to give two quick touches to the screen, because instead of giving two touch can not be installed a photoelectric sensor? which with the palm of your hand triggers the lighting without contact with the screen, in the end is a nice tip, please pass this message to the Department of New Projects, thank you.
Instead of notifying me of the door being open, why not create something to close it.
Same thought...that optional will add another 1000£$€
back in the day, we used to tilt our refrigerators sideways just slightly so that the door would close itself ... free optional feature
It's left out for the next edition
LOL
XD ur right😂😂😂

The best brand when it comes to electronics
All my appliances are LG the best decision we ever made
No repairs or malfunctions
Thanks for sharing. Think I'm gonna switch to LG.

I swear fridges have had them for ages idk?
I have 13 years LG refrigerator and its still good.
Wow!
Ive had my big Samsung for 17 years fridges usually last quite a while.
Mirror2 on the refrigerator. Who is the coolest of all?
Cool
Edit: I accidentally made the worst joke ever lol
why can't they just make it glass

not so bad!!! Chill! Oh no, I think I just made the worst joke ever! Lol!
1:55 LOL THATS ABSURD WHY YOUR REFRIGERATOR DOES NOT CLOSE WELL ENOUGH BY ITSELF
XD

after 15 years (still working) i decide to buy this one as my new LG Fridge...
1:54 Would've been easier and better if they implement the soft-close technology like the one on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-Series.
Just bought mine today
3 hours before I can plug it in
Can't wait
How much for it?
@@kayffrench1658 she's lying she ain't bought it
If only our refrigerator is organized like that
Point to be noted 🤭🤭😂😂😂
Indian peoples fridges are never organized
It's quicker to just open the door.
Or just make the door glass
@@jasonpatrickhipolito596 then what's the point. This is also glass?
@@jasonpatrickhipolito596 also it advertised as not needing to open the fridge to see. But like it's only on a small part of the fridge
And more cold lost and you e=will regret it
I want this!!! LG makes great electronics, I should know, I worked with them for years.
Wish to be a LG’s engineer/technician. Any idea how to be one?
Awww...why did you leave?
01:54 Even a 400$ refrigerator will close by itself when it's closer to it's end.
Lmao I wont if there's too much food. Think of it in that sense dude
it can be, since the door is quite heavier.
Why not give it a auto close door feature or something?
lol
that's actually not a bad idea
LG please hire this man

nirgalZG but it looks super cool
Or just buy a fridge with a fkn glass door for 1/4 the price.
she leaves the door open for so long :( really caused anxiety
same tutorial content. this video is very useful for those who are just learning
omg, this is amazing, opening the fridge door to see what i have (even though i know what is inside, since i bought the stuff) is so hard

I had a question
I wanna bye this fridge and I saw this with Steel inside background
Is that fake?
LG Dios open the door with voice order. Dose it have the function?
Where can I buy this specific fridge model? I can’t find it even in LG websit !
Why 2 knocks instead of one? Even better...they should've put a sensor on the glass so you stick your nose against it instead of knocking

how does that screen work when you knock it? Is it just very dark, and when you knock it, it turns a light on?
lostn65 yeah, its black glass and when you knock it, the light turns on and the glass becomes transparent
Yes
I think they painted it in a way that makes it transparent when you knock it and to clarify there's no LED inside the instaview door in door
Trusted brand. We have also LG refrigerator till now no repair
