    I don't know what I pay the most attention to in videos, cars or you! Everything is wonderful. I usually watch once seeing the cars and once watching you! Car dream and woman dream! Congratulations.

    Make sure you inspect the bmr control arms....mine had hairline cracks at the welds where the adjustment rods are....I don't race...but do launch hard once in awhile....several people who race have broken the arms....I switched over to AAD for my 19 dodge challenger hellcat redeye and noticed a big difference in quality and have no squeaking or clunking......great video

  • @darrelpierce5246
    @darrelpierce5246 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    You are doing it right on the Redeye. Rear suspension definitely needs to be
    upgraded. I also installed a Borla atak catback exhaust, and a rear differential
    brace on mine, along with upper and lower trailing arms, and beefier sway
    bar end links. These few items tremendously improve our cars over factory
    stock. Great foundation to build on. Good luck, really enjoy your videos!

    Hi Doris, the new trailing arms looked pretty solid while you were doing the road test. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 pls forgive me for being picky, but be sure to use a torque wrench on those wheel lug nuts and tighten to whatever the service manual recommends for those alloy wheels. Drive safe!😊

      Thanks! I always use a torque wrench to tighten ;)

    That camera angle on the lower trailing arm was just excellent! I didn't realize you were going for 1,000 HP, that's gonna be a BLAST! Also, hope your head wasn't hurt too bad! I recently dropped an X Pipe on mine. Luckily I am tall so it didn't fall too far, LOL

    • @woman.driven
      @woman.driven  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you liked it as I thought it would be a good idea to show the lower trailing arms work in action because explaining can only do so much. Yes, 1,000hp is the goal and hopefully I can get there before the events in March if not somewhere close to there. I'm so clumsy lol, always getting hit or tripping on something. Haha, that's funny hope your head is ok too.

  • @Todd66
    @Todd66 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Have you considered Sub Frame connectors? Really the only benefit of the BMR control arms is the adjustability.The articulation is mute with it being a street car and minimal travel is required from the suspension. Reducing unsprung weight helps the suspension work, this is why the OEM control arm is aluminum. Good video as usual :)

    • @woman.driven
      @woman.driven  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes.. those are coming and will get added. The main benefit is the removal of the rubber to the cradle as for the rest of the changes I will do. With a car like this.. more weight at the rear the better for grip. Plus, I will be doing some major weight reduction soon :). Thanks for watching.

    • @Todd66
      @Todd66 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Woman.Driven adding weight for traction is probably a good idea, but I would steer away from adding that weight to the suspension. Reducing unsprung weight is ideal.

    Glas I'm not the only one who manages to knock their head on something, lol. Looks good. And if you want to stiffen that lowed end up without the work to put in a heim joint, just get urethane bushings, much less flex than the factory rubber ones, and yet will have just enough give for street driving.

    Another awesome video with plenty of details!! Guess it’s the engineer in you. Also love the video of part in action. Will share that I have done all this type of suspension upgrades on my fox body stangs only to experience on the way to work one morning felt like my entire rear end was trying to come out. Scary feeling. When I checked it out that night at home, I found where the next weak link was which ended up being the body frame itself. Body frame ended up with many stress cracks. My next step then was to re-enforce the body frame with welding / sub-frames. After that, didn’t have any more issues and I let it rip the line dumping the clutch at 5k on slicks. Something to watch for with all the suspension mods to keep an eye on the body frame.. ;-)

    So...I’m a car guy and of course I dig pretty ladies, so the first video of yours that I found was from a thumbnail photo of a pretty girl and a muscle car. It was a good video so I remembered the next time I seen a similar thumbnail and watched it. Since then I have commented on several videos and to my surprise, you have responded each and every time. That’s impressive to me. Not only do you respond, but your responses have been like you are in your videos...again, impressive. I like that you are not a schooled Technician, just a person with a plan and a eye for detail. At this point, your videos are good enough that your pretty face is not why I watch. I enjoy watching you on your journey. It really is crazy impressive. Be aware that you are an inspiration to many. I’ve decided to Subscribe and I look forward to your next video. Thank you for taking the time to read and reply to comments. Have a great day.

    Ouch! Don't do that :/ Would have liked seeing both stock vs BMR before and after results viewed from the undercarriage. Prefer the Redeye exhaust note better. It's more refined. So you're striving for 1K HP. Stock 1/4 mile is what -- low 11s? I figured a few more drag strip visits before installing any power adders.

I have a 2017 hellcat that is a 100% daily driver with 315's in the rear...no plans on going to the drag strip, however, would like better traction for launching on street tires. Are these trailing arms worth the upgrade or would the new Dodge Connect zero camber rear knuckles be better for my application? Any feedback would be appreciated

      @@woman.driven Are you going with a carbon fiber drive shaft from the drive shaft shop? I wondered if you have a discount code for one.

    I’ve seen a few post about those BMR can fail over 980hp , people say AAD performance it’s better though, check them out and do some searching and it doesn’t matter if yours is 2nd gen or 3rd because they have failed.

    • @woman.driven
      @woman.driven  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The ones that failed were the upper trailing arms. Those were addressed a while ago as they figured out the flaws. No issues on the lower arms from what I read. I guess I'll find out when I get more power. I'll check them out.

    Recommendations with your Mustang Eng you should get all your Piston and Rods balance by a Machine shop. This way they well All Weight the same and gave you a Smoother engine performance. From factory they don't all weight the same.

    • @woman.driven
      @woman.driven  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup.. I will update on that soon. But yes, balance is key.

    Can I ask why you decided to get the adjustable trailing arms? I get it with control arms but not sure what benefit the adjustable aspect of the trailing arms would give?
