- OO Gauge MODEL RAILWAY, SCENERY - WEEDS, BEAUTIFUL WEEDS
Finally some greenery. So in this video I:
apply static grass
apply clump foliage
make course scatter for leaves
colour poly fibre
make brambles
apply moss and grass tufts
I did say I would include the video showing how I made clump foliage, sorry really hard to identify. Any questions though, just ask.
Big thanks to Tim at the Scrapline and Cheekytec for their inspiration.

I think what you have done is brilliant and looks natural a fence wouldn't look right
Brilliant vid! Thanks very much. Really enjoyable half an hour. I like the use of that 'cotton-wool' like filler. Poly whatever. Well done. I have always thought weeds were important and many modellers just forget about them.
I've used sawdust a lot and I agree you can do modelling very cheaply with a bit of nous. (Made me laugh the references to baking as well.)
No I don't think you need a fence along the path. Might be more prototypical but scenically it doesn't need it. But then there is that principle about the 'the more the merrier'. That is, the more detail the better. So, sure, if you want. I am not an hysterical complainer about the 'health and safety' world I just think that if we want more modelling opportunities then we should take them.
Hi Mark, thank you for your kind words and so glad you enjoyed the video. I agree weeds and varied vegetation is quite easy to do. Varied colours and textures is part of the secret I feel.
Yes a fence would look good
Hi, thank you for the comment. However this video was published a few years ago. I did put the fence in, but the layout is due for a major overhaul in the coming months. This will be shown in the main channel ‘PICCADILLY MODEL RAILWAYS. This channel is more of an archive now, as many people felt having 2 channels one for OO and another for the N gauge was too confusing. So it’s all on one channel now. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment.
