So much I've learned from you. Years ago, wife says 2014 (?), traveling through Greeley and seeing the Museum. I didn't even know of you (found out about you maybe a month later). But I was collecting scenery from your area, then Montana, Oregon and of course California desert. Some of my modules, like the Rolling Hills, has material from everywhere I've traveled. When I first started getting into modeling and Model Railroading. Someone told me "Nothing imitates Nature like Nature itself".
@@lynnmccurdythehdmmrc2561 I’m so glad to have you along on the journey! I always appreciate your support!!!
I;m always so amazed at how realistic things look. I'm mesmerized by your work.
Thank you for all the great advice you offer us, Jason. Not only you inspire modellers to plan their layout well, but you also help them to understand the fun of adding urban elements that are well designed. Can't wait for your next video 😉
@@ErnestPecounis Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it!!!
Always gr at information. Thanks Jason for sharing your knowledge. And stay motivated!!!

Another quality addition and useful tips, as always.

Fantastic Jason, you are weaving an incredible tapestry right across your layout, the scenery it just pulls everything together, I love those sea front structures on stills you can almost hear the water lapping beneath and the squark of seagulls 👍❤🚂
@@alexwake850 Thank you so much Alex!!! Always great to hear from you! 👍
Jason, fantastic job on those 2 areas you have done, they look great.
Great point on the scenery, it certainly is true with the old adage, less is more.
Thank you for sharing, cheers, and stay safe, Michael
@@michaelimpey1407 Thank you so much Michael!!! Cheers and happy modeling! 👍
Nice update Jason. Scenery is just fun! I enjoyed you running my favorite diesels (GP20) at the beginning of the video. It was nice to see your self inspiration and motivation move you to another section of the layout. If you're like me, that comes in spurts. I agree with your statement about making certain scenic elements "scale", which is another element of detail.
@@luvindemtrains Thank you so very much and thank you for watching!!! 👍
Great modeling. You are an artist... amazing imagination and imagery.
@@jamesfitch6431 Thank you so very much James!!!
I really love the attention to detail that your layout contains, the realistic scenery can be so convincing when you pan over it that I find myself taken aback when I see a cliff of styrofoam as you go along. Thank you for such amazing videos. 😃👍
Jason, you are the THE benchmark!! But please: video stabilization (for occasional handheld video). Your scenery and structures are so spectacular that stabilization would lend that much more realism to your footage.
You so such wonderful work. Thank you for taking us along. It would be so cool to be able to see your layout in person.

Fabulous Jason, loving that retaking wall section

I know you have comic books in your background but I'm surprised that, with your talents in model building, you haven't done any movie modeling. For movies and such.
Your work is off the charts.
Great job with the scenery.

Looks fantastic Jason! It looks like one could just sit down leaning against that tree, and just read a book or do some writing.
Thank you1

Please do more of these showing how you get you inspiration for the things you use for the scenery. Thank you.
Fantastic video and great tips!!! I'm getting to the point where I'm FINALLY going to start some scenery, and these videos are invaluable.

Absolutely love seeing this groundwork come together. Superb Jason!
Absolutely phenomenal work as always Jason. I been so inspired by you.
Keep up the great work. Thanks for all you do for the hobby.
Jason, you could add the 2 concrete steps, but we all know that old shops have eroded concrete steps :) That part is a feature, not a bug.
It just looks terrific, Jason - a real work of art. Many thanks for sharing it all. Tom (from France).
Hi Jason & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Jason & Friends Randy

Superb video as always. Really good that you've changed the background music, a change was well overdue.

Hi Jason!!! It's very cool that you fill in the voids on your layout!!! Wow!!! Greetings from Russia!!!😁👍👍👍
Great tutorial!

the gap in the concrete, looks like the soil has eroded away, i thinks it looks good.
@@ZeroAviator Thank you and thanks for watching!!!
@@JasonJensenTrains I watched the video again, and imagine alot of people walking in and out of that door,,, kicks away the grass and dirt. One of the best layout on TH-cam. Great work!!
Very nice.
Beautiful!!! Wonderful work! Did you make those weeds? or did you buy them somewhere? Again, thank you for sharing your talents with us.
@@raykiefer5137 Thank you so much!!! I did not make those weeds. I actually bought them on Amazon. Thanks for watching! 👍
looks great Jason! I'm always learning new techniques when I watch your videos. What trees are you using in this video?
@@robertcronin3858 Thank you so much Robert!!! I made all of the trees myself and I put a link at the very end of the video for how to make them.
Have you tried using Titebond Quick & Thick Multi-Surface Glue as a replacement for the tubes of Liquid Nails? I use it to glue down trackage and when gluing plastic to wood or even metal. Works well when putting wooden structure kits together.
@@trainmasterbob370 I have not tried it. I’ve used Liquid Nails for years, even glue all of my track down with it. I like that it comes in a large tube for a calk gun. Happy modeling and thanks for watching!!!
Looks great as usual...but having a hard time adjusting to your new choices of music 😂🙂🙃
@@TWNTY-es8lu Thank you so much!!! I’m sure I’ll be trying different music in the future! Thanks for watching!
Great video! Just curious when it's best to use insulation foam and when it's best to use styrofoam. Thanks!
Good Evening Jason! Tonight I'm sad to learn the passing of a friend and modeller who used to have a TH-cam channel and like You inspired me in this hobby! I don't forget a special question I asked Him a long time ago! I want to ask You that very question! It begins like this:. "What would be Your response to family members, friends, etc. When some of them don't agree that an adult individual is inclined to a hobby, they think is intended just for children? And He gave me a great answer and double down encouraging me even further not to abandon the hobby and not pay attention to their point of view! As an Honor to Roy Smith, whom maybe You have heard of, what would be Your advice to me!
Regards,
RR.-
Hey Jason, your work inspires. Thanks for that! I'm at a point in my planning and looking for some good HO scale neighborhood houses.
Can you recommend any good kits and are yours Kit Bashed or Stock out of the box? Maybe a combination of both? Thanks. Rich.
Jason, I need to add a lift-out section to my Kato N scale layout, can you provide any advice, especially regarding the connection?
Any suggestions for those types of weeds in n scale? Beautiful work
@@johnoreskovich9153 check out a TH-cam channel called ChicagoCrossingRR
He does great N scale work and has videos on scenery.
Really cool work! Where do you find the scale models? I am doing a diorama of the scene of The Alamo compound of 1836 in a 10mm scale. So far I have had to make all items by scratch except for the 18 cannons. Thanks in advance!
👌🖖
@@johnpandolfino8663 Thank you John!!!
To the right of the layout, where the fence ends just before the end of the layout - I can just see some kids sneaking past the fence to play hookey and go down to the water to go fishin’.
@@bonniehollingsworth1996 It’s all about story telling when creating scenes. Thank you so much for watching!!!
I'm looking for your tree tutorial and not finding it. Am I just not looking in the right place?
@@chrisroeben1085 I put a link at the end of the video. It’s called “How to make trees”.
