The fact that the boy/boys didn't forget the baby is just so lovely... Even when he joined the dad to go look for the Mum;he carried the baby along with him 😁
Yes, but Dan should have taken the baby the SECOND time he went upstairs to get him and ALL 3 should have went down to the basement then. But, they were young and scared. Good movie
@Jolers63 yep. Most of us in T.Alley know when the sirens go off, and it is confirmed in proximity whether that's the news or sharp change (negatively) in weather suddenly, to us, everyone sleeps near, or in, the basement/cellar. That way, if its clear that it is about to hit, we can go down there and it catches us off guard, we won't have to go far to get there. I have a battery radio saved for that very reason
i watched a movie that in the beginning a podcast said that the tornado is coming but no one believes him at the first then it does come but i forgot the name of the movie 🥲 i think it was last year or something like that

@@mydnytmover I'm sorry but don't you think it should be his decision on whether he has children or not. I do however appreciate you caring about our problems with the rain and water.
Watching this now you realize how far we've come in studying weather especially tornadoes. And shows how much more we've learned about them. From the ways they chased them and communicated to predicting them and proper safety precautions to take. We used to really think opening windows would potentially save the house while we know now it does nothing and only heightens the risk of dying because you're wasting time opening windows instead of getting under cover. I read the book in middle school and loved it, and when the movie came out on ABC Family I watched it every time. And I love that I can still watch it on here, I love tornado movies of all kinds.
How can anyone be so dense to think that would save the house? You literally just invite the deadly wind into your house instead if you're lucky than maybe a window won't be smashed but obviously with a very powerful tornado it probably will be anyway. Some idiots had some theory about closed windows weren't good for the air pressure inside the house meaning it would explode or something. Also sheltering under a bridge is wrong too. It's like a wind tunnel, it won't save you. They woud've all died.
Agreed looking back on this now as adult you realize what he was teaching Dan was correct from the very beginning. You finish what you start and don't quit.
A few years ago, as I was grocery shopping, and putting things in the car, the sky turned very black. The weather service was forecasting tornadoes all day. i dismissed it, since I said New England rarely gets tornadoes. I looked up at that sky at the right moment since it had turned from black to green to yellow. My husband is: It's going to rain. I said it's going to do a lot more than rain! I watched a tornado form, and I knew I should run, and this was a monster! Had it touched down, the highway would've been no more!this was a monster. I'm no weather forecaster, but I've seen enough weather specials to know a monster tornado when I see one. This was huge! I don't know, but what I Do know is this was probably an EF5, this was so big, it probably would've sucked up everything in it's path, and kept going!
Are you referring to the tornado outbreak we had here in New England on June 1, 2011? One EF1 in Maine and three EF1's and one EF3 in Massachusetts. In all, 3 people died, around 200 were injured, and over 500 were left homeless. This was just one week after the devastating EF5 tornado in Joplin, MO (May 22, 2011). That whole season was crazy with tornadoes. A total of like 1,705 tornadoes touched down in the South, Midwest, and Northeast. I think it has the distinction of being the second most-active year on record.

Great movie by all accounts. If I am not mistaken it was partially based off of real events where a small town was hit back to back by tornadoes in the same night. My dad grew up in Missouri and said he was in more than one tornado. It's something you never forget.
I remember one time when I was really little, shortly after I first saw this movie, and my grandma had stopped by to pick up my older sister to take her to piano lessons. It had been a somewhat stormy day/evening so far. We said goodbye to my grandma and sister and they walked out the door, then like 15 seconds later they came back in. Confused, my parents asked if they had forgotten something and my grandma just calmly said "A tornado just formed" and a few seconds later the sirens were going off. As a kid now terrified of tornadoes because of this movie I panicked, but my dad just calmly cleared out extra space for my grandma under the stairs where we go for tornadoes and we waited it out. I think it was a fairly small one, though, because the worst damage in our neighborhood was a neighbor had a small-ish tree get blown over onto their swing-set/playground in their yard. But it was so surreal just hearing my grandma casually state that they saw a tornado form and then hearing the sirens right after that.
A really good realistic movie. I've been in an earthquake in California, but it was a mild one, thankfully, but living in Texas I still cannot get scared of tornados, because they are very unpredictable. I've been in about three of them, but thankfully I knew to get to safety before they hit. This movie is very realistic though.
You know this took me back almost 20 years ago with me and my whole family watching it finish watching a movie in theater called day after tomorrow and when all of us were heading home we we're in the interstate bridge and all of a sudden we heard a tornado siren and my brother freaked out and said heights think the movie came right out of the moon the the storm came right at the movie theater And I said II guess so we had up there in the text panel we we had AI guess I don't know such thing called Well when I was saying that we had to go look if I refuse from the storm my bro my brother my father and my little brother came out of the suburbanbut when I was about to come out that's when the bigger hell was hitting my father said just stay in the carcause the suburban is a little bityou know an old much older vehicle and and he said it's a little safe windows is but except The back of the windowof the suburban there was a hail no bigger than a cantaloupe that hit the back of the of the window of the suburban the one that rolls down I survive But my father's suburban took a good took a really good beating of the hailstorm I think most of we had was just hailstorm and we noticed some of the billboardup there some of the billboards been shredded like like if you rip a piece of paper that ripped off from the billboardbut there was no other bigger damage it was just an if 0 tornadic storm Almost 20 years ago😟😊💗
This film has a pretty good cast: -Devon Sawa, who played the human Casper in "Casper" and played in Wild America with Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Scott Baristow. -John Schneider, who played in "The Dukes of Hazard" and Smallville. -Laura Bertram, who Disney Channel fans will recognize as Amanda from the show "Ready or Not", and she also had a guest appearance on "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" -Amos Crawley, people might not be too familiar with him, but he played Chuck in the Goosebumps TV series in the episodes: "The Haunted Mask" and "The Haunted Mask II".
I love how the family in the beginning dont notice or hear the giant tornado barreling down on them but can perfectly hear bob yell twister just fine🤣🤣🤣 and dont even get me started on that tornado cgi
This is a great movie. I like movies that don’t dive right into the action in the first scene. I like the movie said give you a little clue of what’s going to happen during the first few scenes and then lead all hell breaks loose!
IMO, the step-dad WAS concerned about his son but treated him as an after-thought compared to his baby brother. He also saw himself living vicariously through his step-son because he wanted him to be an athlete as he once was.
The step-dad needed anger management classes His quick temper was not at all acceptable and he was abusive emotionally to the step son. I know its just a movie but that kind of stuff doesn't bode well with me because I was an abused child by my father and the scars from that kind of stuff last a lifetime.
thing is if you haven't lived through something like this you have no idea how it feels. its incredibly scary I live in the south we get tornados & hurricanes constantly during the season. One just hit about a month ago & uprooted a lot of trees & damaged some buildings but luckily I don't believe we had any fatalities

Inspiring good movie-what a terrifying thing to live through. Wholesome movie, thank you for posting this.
Thank you!!! that's one of my favorite movies. thank you thank you thank you
I was completely blown away by this. Thanks.
Yes, it happened in Grand Island, where I was born. It's about 45K population now.
It actually did happen in Tanner Alabama during the 1974 super outbreak
They were hit by two separate F5s
John Schneider is so awesome in this movie
A really good realistic movie. I've been in an earthquake in California, but it was a mild one, thankfully, but living in Texas I still cannot get scared of tornados, because they are very unpredictable. I've been in about three of them, but thankfully I knew to get to safety before they hit. This movie is very realistic though.
Who is watching this after seeing twisters?
I had this movie on a old vhs tape when I was a kid and haven’t seen it in like 20 years 🙃
I
Iiiiiiiiii
I really love this movie..
I watched Twister when it came out back in 96 and when the Drive In scene came on so did our severe thunderstorm it was wicked
A drive in theater was showing twister back then and a tornado did strike that drive in while twister was playing
You know this took me back almost 20 years ago with me and my whole family watching it finish watching a movie in theater called day after tomorrow and when all of us were heading home we we're in the interstate bridge and all of a sudden we heard a tornado siren and my brother freaked out and said heights think the movie came right out of the moon the the storm came right at the movie theater And I said II guess so we had up there in the text panel we we had AI guess I don't know such thing called Well when I was saying that we had to go look if I refuse from the storm my bro my brother my father and my little brother came out of the suburbanbut when I was about to come out that's when the bigger hell was hitting my father said just stay in the carcause the suburban is a little bityou know an old much older vehicle and and he said it's a little safe windows is but except The back of the windowof the suburban there was a hail no bigger than a cantaloupe that hit the back of the of the window of the suburban the one that rolls down
I survive
But my father's suburban took a good took a really good beating of the hailstorm I think most of we had was just hailstorm and we noticed some of the billboardup there some of the billboards been shredded like like if you rip a piece of paper that ripped off from the billboardbut there was no other bigger damage it was just an if 0 tornadic storm Almost 20 years ago😟😊💗
I do apologize about my texting it's just because I have a limited speech cause I have A Speech impediment
My apologies folks😟
Good movie, had me tearing up for a minute there
Been looking everywhere for this movie!!!
This film has a pretty good cast:
-Devon Sawa, who played the human Casper in "Casper" and played in Wild America with Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Scott Baristow.
-John Schneider, who played in "The Dukes of Hazard" and Smallville.
-Laura Bertram, who Disney Channel fans will recognize as Amanda from the show "Ready or Not", and she also had a guest appearance on "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"
-Amos Crawley, people might not be too familiar with him, but he played Chuck in the Goosebumps TV series in the episodes: "The Haunted Mask" and "The Haunted Mask II".
Thank you!!!!!!!!!
A real good movie good story too, i've had seen it twice already
I love how the family in the beginning dont notice or hear the giant tornado barreling down on them but can perfectly hear bob yell twister just fine🤣🤣🤣 and dont even get me started on that tornado cgi
Just discovered this gem...thank you!
I love this movie❤❤😘🥰👍👍👍
Great movie the night of twisters 😀👍
I will admit its better watching this without commercials
Thank you for movie ♥️🙏
Still frustrates me how many times ijt took them to actually get the baby 😂
When I watch this movie the memories come flooding back 😆😌
All too real if you were hit around the 10th in Kentucky . 😞
This is a great movie. I like movies that don’t dive right into the action in the first scene. I like the movie said give you a little clue of what’s going to happen during the first few scenes and then lead all hell breaks loose!
Great movie! LOVED THE ENDING STORY.
It was a true story
It’s a good movie I remember watching this and I loved it
Damn I’m in Hawaii now and I just got a txt about an hurricane warning ⚠️
@@JujuCapital did you make it through the 🌀 warning ok 🥺🙏🏻💖🤗
I love this movie and I hope that people will see it again someday soon
thanks for sharing...
This movie is so nice it had me in tears
IMO, the step-dad WAS concerned about his son but treated him as an after-thought compared to his baby brother. He also saw himself living vicariously through his step-son because he wanted him to be an athlete as he once was.
The step-dad needed anger management classes His quick temper was not at all acceptable and he was abusive emotionally to the step son. I know its just a movie but that kind of stuff doesn't bode well with me because I was an abused child by my father and the scars from that kind of stuff last a lifetime.
C Young, I'm sorry.
thing is if you haven't lived through something like this you have no idea how it feels. its incredibly scary I live in the south we get tornados & hurricanes constantly during the season. One just hit about a month ago & uprooted a lot of trees & damaged some buildings but luckily I don't believe we had any fatalities
Be careful
