I love how a major part of the mormon song is "dum dum dum dum dum" after something dumb is explained, then when the guy's wife says something that actually makes sense they say "smart smart smart smart smart"
+Nicholas Palmieri um you know there is a site and even an app where you can watch soutpark for free and legal right? It's sponsored by the creators of the series itself.
Don't pay the Troll Toll ! i made this account when i was twelve... 8 years ago. No shit the name is gonna be edgy. Why does everybody think that my picture is me trying to be an edgelord? Black and red are just my favorite colors.
Oh, I've met some jerk Mormons, believe me, and nearly all were missionaries. After listening to them go on and on about why their religion is so "awesome," some have been so condescending that they would actually roll their eyes at me when I'd finally say what I believe in. A pretty female missionary once told me, while we discussed how violent organized religion is in times of war and genocide, that, if the political climate demanded it, she would kill a Mormon from another country if this country and theirs ever warred. One wide-eyed missionary, back in 2011, got so angry with me because I showed him from his own King James Bible (he struggled to find even basic books like Psalms) the strong contradictions between the Book of Mormon and the Bible. And when I say "angry," I mean he went nuts. And when I say "nuts," I mean he totally lost it. And when I say "he totally lost it," I mean it was really, really bad. He yelled and screamed at me like a dog, on my porch, about how he "didn't come all the way out here (Eastern US) from my home in Las Vegas, Nevada, just to have you CONFUSE ME from THAT BOOK (the Bible), and now I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE ANYMORE! When my two years of missionary work are over, I'M GOING HOME!" He was so belligerent that he was on the verge of crying, his chest heaving up and down. Ever seen anyone get that angry? It's not pretty. To this very day, I've never seen anything like it before. His missionary partner just smirked at me like his buddy showed me up. The young man they brought with them (I assume he was being trained) stood there with shock on his face as this jerk had a meltdown. Needless to say, I don't feel comfortable with them around me.
Now this is something I expected and enjoyed. I'm not talking about the South Park episodes he analyzed, I enjoyed that overall. It's just... This is the quintessential Internet Nerd's folly. Having a well-thought out, well constructed criticism and opinion of a piece of media or entertainment, and supporting it with facts and not only his personal opinion, and always willing to look at the bigger picture, seeing the long term effects or ideas or controversy a show like South Park will generate. And while I know that it was merely a sketch, I think that *what we saw here is accurate*; His opinion is wholly consumed and outweighed by short-term wishes and desires of others. No matter how well-constructed the criticism is, or how well supported the facts are, we're all idiots. We don't really CARE about well constructed opinions or supportive arguments. We just want to be heard. And we toss our hat into the ring hoping people like Doug Walker will make *our* opinions his, what with his being famous, and us being lazy nerds too introverted to speak freely in real life, hiding behind our little keyboard and taking an overly liberal stance on a trivial topic, with the freedom given by the Internet. And Mr. Walker's well aware of it enough that this sketch is a perfect representation. Nerds rage about their favorite episodes: "DURR, DHIS R-TARD DOESN'T KNO WAT A GUD SOU4H PAR3 EPISODE IS, HE SHOULD MAKE DIS NUM53R 1! STFU NWBS, FTW!"
1aundulxaldin I enjoyed reading this...haha, it's what you say about us being lazy nerds that toss our hat into the ring...at least I could relate to this...and feel ashamed by it
+lightyearpig12 You gave him two options, -surgery- Cartman or -no surgery- Trump, and he chose the third - _-no treatment-_ *_other!_* As a -doctor- fan, how do you even *_do_* that!?
That's the great think about South Park, it is fearless. I admit there are some episodes I think are ridiculous, but I like how they commentary on things that people need to hear
I've met some really horrible Mormons. First I worked for a Mormon owned company who basically made my job impossible and more and more unpleasant until they could fire me. Then they replaced me with the daughter of one of the managers. I had wondered earlier why practically everyone else who worked there was related to each other. Then I took in a Mormon friend who was homeless. They turned out to be a con artist and I'm a lot poorer now than I was when I met them Many of the Mormons I've met are fake nice and it's actually quite creepy
John David Tibbetts but it's different from mine!!! Poor things. :( what will be of them...? Don't tell me, I don't wanna know such horrible fate awaits them
72Worker:, you're a self absorbed doucebag who runs around shoving his opinions down peoples throats. And Daito, you're just feeding the fire. I'm gonna remove all of your comments because I didn't ask for a flame war on my one sentence comment.
When he said watching TMZ made him feel like the Devil, I expected the Devil to pop up and say "At least I have standards" but then i remembered that character wasn't created yet
Jeez, every time you're done with one of the choices and it cuts to the song I laugh. I guess it's just the abruptness of going from silence to "BITCHBITCHBITCHBITCH"...
11- One of my favorites! 10- One of my favorites (adore your TMZ Rant btw)! *UPDATE: Honestly, looking back on this episode, I don't like it as much as I used to. It's not as funny as I remember. It's message is done well, sure, but the ending makes NO SENSE whatsoever. Also there's a subplot with Butters that goes nowhere. To top that off, it's one of South Park's most unpleasant episodes. But I don't hate it.* 9- The idea was great, the execution to me was meh 8- Have not seen this episode *Update: I have now. It's honestly just Okay* 7- I did not entirely like this episode. The only really funny part to me was the music (let's fighting love!). The parts when the boys were fantasizing about them being anime ninjas wasn't very long, and the parts with Butters were downright mean! And the jab at the end was incredibly rushed and half-assed (for South Park) 6- One of my favorites! 5- Classic, and probably in my top 10. 4- This and Imaginationland tie as my all-time favorite trilogies! 3- I saw this episode after I saw the video for the first time. Wow, those twists are just hilarious! That really is a well written episode. This is probably in my top 5 too 2- Have not seen this episode *Update: I have now. It's a great episode! In my top 10!* 1- This episode, while definitely not the best in terms of content, probably is the best in terms of timing Honorable Mentions (or rather, my personal favorite episodes not mentioned here): With Apologies to Jesse Jackson Medicinal Fried Chicken The Losing Edge The Biggest Douche in the Universe You're Getting Old/Assburgers Breast Cancer Show Ever Kenny Dies
my fav episode is the goth kids vs the vampire kids. I just love how he says "I bet they are not even drinking coffee" then he slams his head on the table
my fav episode is the goth kids vs the vampire kids. I just love how he says "I bet they are not even drinking coffee" then he slams his head on the table
I think your favorite SP eps depend on what issues you care the most about. Since they have pretty much the best episode tackling every issue imaginable. For example, I really passionately care about free speech and depression, so my favorite episodes are Cartoon Wars & You're Getting Old. Again, its really depending on what issue you care about the most.
+Laura Evans yeah, is kind of really _impossible_to rate them (at least the moreclassic ones) based on how they're written, jokes and stuff... cause even the most weak ones do have somethingfor you to laugh at XD
27:00 And only 3 weeks later, they were back on their high horse and proclaimed all other countries suck for not relating to the issues they themselves caused.
Oh good! For a moment there, I thought you were going to do a countdown of "Lost" episode or "Game of Thrones" like everyone else or something like that.
oh my goodness, i was trying to put my own favorite episodes in this list when I realized there were over a dozen episodes besides the ones he already mentioned I wanted on the list. South park is good!
Americas not just our home, it's our team. And if you don't want to rout for your team the you should get the hell out of the stadium. - Stan Marsh... SouthPark; Osam bin Ladin has fartty pants
'About Last Night' is an episode I'm unsure on. It was well done, but it seemed like it was mocking the only people who still cared about the system, so IDK.
Quite possibly the best NC countdown ever! :-) What is funny though, my parents, especially my Dad vacillated between right wing psycho-Christian and regular kind of cool Christian. He forbade South Park when my sister and I were still at home I think it premiered my junior or senior year in high school. Well now 14 years later it is one of his favorite shows. That just displays the power those two nimrods Matt Stone and Trey Parker have, they can break boundaries and get anyone to see the humor in anything. It can be a release, a relief to have someone say what one was thinking. If you don't agree, well South Park said it, not me. I know I died laughing at the Chinpokomon episode and the playing with weapons episode because I love anime but I also understand why some people don't so I could laugh at both sides. And the Chuck Jones routine in the Osama Bin Laden episode was hilarious too. Another nice thing about South Park if I do not like the subject matter or do not agree with the message guess what? I can change the channel.
There have been a few condescending Mormons, but I've never met one who was a complete jerk, and 95 percent of them are the nicest people you'll ever meet
#2 "I haven't even met someone who knows a mormon who was an asshole yet!" Come to Fernie B.C and talk to 1 person at Fernie Secondary......... I rest my case!
My favorite episode is "Eat Prey Queef" Reason being is that it shows how more women are growing, but men always seem to be one step ahead just to push them back down. Sharon's speech how women just wanted to have their own little fun at men's expense like farting, but men took that away and they have to try twice as hard.
I think the censorship episode deserves a place here. The fact it was censored to the point that it has it's message itself censored, makes it all the better in my opinion because it proves the point all the more. But, that's just me.
200/201 The amount of censorship they had to do in 201 was just... so fucking pathetic, and only served to make the point better than the episode ever could've without it, as it stands as a testament to the very point the episode was attempting to make. In my mind, it's the epitome of commentary on that issue.
They killed off Chef because the voice actor -for- Chef died. It was the only somewhat respectful way they could retire the Chef character. Recasting him would have been a bad move.
"Seriously, whoever's watching this, sleep with something . . . . . . for your own good." Couldn't have said it better myself. In fact, this is my new pick-up line against the Bronies.
Great list but my least faveorite episodes was when chef died that really blew my mind the coolest man being killed off but it still held well when hays left
there's one that fits my top 5 for sure due to a clear mind deep realization of the _effects of cold society_ at the end that i actually loved.... the one with Cartman, his mom and the mexican dog trainer guy from Discovery channel or something, not only i feel like proud watching a personality (that grow near my freaking neighborhood from what i've read) being featured in the best show ever, it was just so damn epic to tears funny seeing Cartman being owned the way he was, how it was possible to turn someone like him into his opposite with domination and in the end what was part of the source of why Cartman is such an asshole... highly recommend it if you haven't watched it XD
I'm glad im not the only one who thinks britney's new look is a fine episode, but about the 1st on your list, you forgot to mention what the iraq kids said about usa and such, i thought that was significant
+Däne-ish Gamer It looks like it, but it is facing the wrong way, it has a red star instead of that fancy 'S/R' (or whatever it is), and it id missing the crown and scepter in its talons.
I would have love to see "cartoon wars" in there... or 200+201. Just because I love the message about free speech. But anyway, it's nice to understand a bit more the reason why Stone and Parker did the "osama bin laden" episode, being Italian we lived it pretty differently. Nice job as always, critic!
I know this video outdates it but... In my opinion I think that the sponsored content episode that came out recently was absolutely fucking amazing... No just me then... Okay I'll just go die in this hole now...
Im sorry but i have to disagree. Being Mormon myself i can say, sure the chruch is opposed to same sex marriage, they focus even more on accepting and showing kindness to people no matter what. As for sexism, while men do have the priesthood, the church constantly states how women are just as important if not more important than men. Dont try to find something wrong in something that does so much good.
That ending makes me want to see the Critic in an actual South Park episode, that was priceless.
He could even pull off the preachy speeches.
Oh my god that would be the fucking tits! It would be even better if the avgn got involved on the same episode.
I love how a major part of the mormon song is "dum dum dum dum dum" after something dumb is explained, then when the guy's wife says something that actually makes sense they say "smart smart smart smart smart"
Couldn't agree more about TMZ.
Make Love Not Warcraft is exactly what made me want to try the game and I still enjoy it.
+Prince Stormstrider same
south park really needs to be on netflix

Nurein Nickname i meant they still air it on comedy central, they just put the episodes on netflix too.

Does anyone here hate how short the new seasons are?
Yeah ;(
yeah :(
I liked having a second half as the the year became darker and more crappy
***** The series is most likely going to end after its 20th season. The Season 18 finale was just awful.
I stopped watching like after season 15 or something like that but yeah I see season 18 is hashtag cancer.

MrManowar6 yeah, and I'll use this for people who watch Game of Thrones.
Great list but my least faveorite episodes was when chef died that really blew my mind the coolest man being killed off but it still held well when hays left
Lol what you feel about TMZ, is what I feel about Bob's Burgers. ..
Good Times With Weapons is my #1.
WHY ARE THERE SO MANY GOD DAMN POKEMON
+Connor Pearson still less than IRL registered species XD
+VixXstazosJOB true : D
this is a great list
there's one that fits my top 5 for sure due to a clear mind deep realization of the _effects of cold society_ at the end that i actually loved.... the one with Cartman, his mom and the mexican dog trainer guy from Discovery channel or something, not only i feel like proud watching a personality (that grow near my freaking neighborhood from what i've read) being featured in the best show ever, it was just so damn epic to tears funny seeing Cartman being owned the way he was, how it was possible to turn someone like him into his opposite with domination and in the end what was part of the source of why Cartman is such an asshole... highly recommend it if you haven't watched it XD
1:00 to quote Nostalgia Critic
"Oh no, they turned into TH-cam commenters!
Not a mint berry crunch serial a mysterion serial c'mon Doug.
I'm glad im not the only one who thinks britney's new look is a fine episode, but about the 1st on your list, you forgot to mention what the iraq kids said about usa and such, i thought that was significant
Spooky fish was a good one too.
my favorite is little crime stoppers.
Is Malcolm wearing a Prussia t-shirt?
+Däne-ish Gamer It looks like it, but it is facing the wrong way, it has a red star instead of that fancy 'S/R' (or whatever it is), and it id missing the crown and scepter in its talons.
I would have love to see "cartoon wars" in there... or 200+201.
Just because I love the message about free speech. But anyway, it's nice to understand a bit more the reason why Stone and Parker did the "osama bin laden" episode, being Italian we lived it pretty differently. Nice job as always, critic!

I thought this video was the top 11 BEST episodes! Or did I hear wrong?
They are his personal top 11.
I did not know this. Learning is fun.
I know this video outdates it but... In my opinion I think that the sponsored content episode that came out recently was absolutely fucking amazing... No just me then... Okay I'll just go die in this hole now...
+pie pies The Ninja one was my favourite.
Season 19 was great. My favorite episode in that season was Tweek x Craig
In regards to minute 1:46, except when they've sold out to special interest groups (and yes, they have).
Mormonism doesn't spread good. He must be pretty ignorant about the sexism and homophobia rampant in the faith. Come on Nostalgia Critic.
"Women are just as important. You get to make babies!" Women not being able to hold the priesthood is sexist. Nothing you say will change that.
...why do i even bother defending my beliefs anymore?
Nathaniel Sorensen No idea. You should have learned that people arent gonna buy the bullshit anymore.
LadyMizra Well its what i believe. So learn to respect that. Please.
7 is like stick of truth
Top eleven South Park episodes?
Not possible.
+Oscar Kirk Not at all, I think it is one the best shows of all time. My top 11 would add up to top 111...
Yeah I guess my original post could have been a little clearer
