Although making fries is great and all, if you're not careful you could get burned from the grease or cut opening the fry box. Happened to me many times and I always advise my employees to be safe with it!

The difference with five Guys, having worked there, is that they know that even with the bag being filled as well, it's still not anywhere near worth the price. They do it to make customers feel like they're getting extra value for their money

I remember my neighborhood McDonald's restaurant vividly when i worked there 10 years ago. The entire restaurant was spotless and super clean. This restaurant in the video clearly looks unkept. it looks very filthy and the manager is is too busy flirting with his employees instead of pushing orders and minimizing the line. This managers performance is absolutely terrible, and i don't expect this branch to last very long with whoever is in charge of this establishment. Please take your work seriously, running a McDonalds is a privilege

Always use 2 hands when handling fry baskets. Safer and more gentle on the hand. The first time I did this, used one hand, got wrist pain after some hours
How much does asking for something made fresh throw off the kitchen? To the point they get super mad? I ask because for things like the fish filet fresh vs sitting in warming racks is night and day.

I thought there was a timer that told you when the old fry's had to be thrown in trash after like 5 minutes or something? I want lie I normally don't even get fry's from my local McDonald's cause they are always either or cold and flavorless with no salt hardly, I prefer Wendy's or Sonic now a days I remember when I would go to McDonald's though and just get 2 large fry's for dinner but not now.
There is a quality timer the problem is that it's built into the fryer computer so if u have to put down more baskets it negates the timer . For fresh fries and other food w/o much waittime I'd suggest goin during a peak period lunch generally is 11am till 1pm dinner is generally 5pm til 7pm

Stephen, I am like you man. Everytime I am put on fries, I make sure that I fill the fry boxes or bags completely up. So many folks I see bagging the fries do not even bother filling them but I tell them this needs more fries before I hand the bag of food to the customer or customers.
You're meant to fill them up so you can't see the yellow stripes on the inside of the packet, that's why they are there. Tbh this video was chill. I'm still training but my first ever actual shift was fries and my trainer left me most of the time and I was handling all the fries by myself and I had to be fast because it was rush hour. Also their fry station looks a lot more practical then ours. I tried my best to make sure the fries were filled up as much as they can. Frustrating when employees knocked over the fries packets so I had to refill them which wastes more time.
I wish this guy made my fries. Seems like I get screwed 8-10 times when rolling drive-thru. Open the bag….hardly any fries and what is there is cold. Yet…I keep going back. 😁
