    this is the best explanation style for any topic in the world.
    Let's hope lots of people learn to explain this way, instead of shouting for likes, subscribe and shit

    Thanks for the great explanation again. I have a doubt about mongodb atlas. Do we have to pay for the cloud service provider along with a selected plan(Atlas)?

    Photos and videos are typically if not always stored in storage buckets(similar to AWS S3) and not in the database. So the firebase pricing would not be expensive due to photos or videos. From experience firebase can get expensive due to firestore database writes and reads.

    Firebase storage costs around 2$ a month to store 50gb of data but mongo dB seems to cost around 50$ since they calculate per hour... MongoDB seems way too high to store files... Am I missing something here?

    • @Broski_Rodragweez
      @Broski_Rodragweez 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yes Mongo storage is more expensive but you are not paying for reads, writes and delete like you will with firestore. If your data storage remains at 50gb but your app traffic increases then you will pay more.

      From what I read, firebase is the least expensive for small app, but as it scales it becomes the most expensive. There's lots of stories of people whose app becomes wildly popular and they get a $50,000 bill or something

    If I'm setting up my own DB server on AWS or Azure, what specs should be high for DB server? like RAM, CPU, Bandwidth..
