Nice one Gareth, I don't fish much with apps. But did tie three a few nights ago and fished them today. The conditions was really tuff, but late afternoon put this red app on and landed 5 fish in the hour on a floating line. Look forward to vid. Take care mate. Shaun.
Thank you for the kind words. There are 2 very effective methods that I use, under the bung is certainly one of them, but my favourite is a sink-tip line and a hectic retrieve. Changing between stripping, figure eight, throw in a pause, and just make it as random and chaotic as possible. This tempts the trout to have a go even when they aren't feeding. Hope that helps.
Nice tie mate. I haven't tried the three legs at the head, I just use the standard two at the front and back but these look really effective and I'll tie some up for sure!
All layers. I have a video planed to explain each method and the different way you would tie them for each. I will get it done as soon as the Welsh Government let us fish again.
I made a dozen today, 3 white with red. 3 olive with orange. 3 black with red.3 red with pearl. Thanks for sharing.

That hit spot is sure to be a winner!!
The hot spots not bad either.
Cracking pattern, another great video.
Not the best visually, but the information and tying is there and that's the main thing.
Yes please, make a video on how to fish the Apps! 👍🍻🎉
Thank you for your support.
So do you fish these? Under a bung static? Figure 8 retrieve? I’m new to fly fishing and brand new to tying. Best channel I’ve found for tying 👌🏻👌🏻
