I just got me a 9'9" crappie pole and put a little Abu Garcia reel spooled with 4lb mono omg so fun. Even caught a few bass on it. Got me a few packs of Bobby Garland baits and they work great

Well mr fishing machine, if I can call you Richard, you have won me over. You had me at "go fishing, it's good fer ya" then the giant "Woo Hoo's" has me watching your channel for life. My grandpa Charlie had the same mentality as you, the same energy, the same passion, and simple techniques. But you and Grandpa had something you don't talk about. Experience. The way you can feel a bite before they bite almost, the sense of knowing if there is a fish in your body if water, and just sensing how deep, where exactly they are, and what bait to use. Those traits are earned through spending a lifetime on the water. Grandpa didn't use depth finders, no fish locators, no gps. I always watched in awe as we floated, seemingly aimless, in the middle of lake Havasu in a 20' cabin cruiser he and my father built from scratch he would look along the far away bank, finding an old church steeple and a water tower, then line one up with the other, and do the same at a right angle ninety degrees away, and within ten feet be in the same place as he had been the last time he hung into a mess of 10lb and over flatheads, and we would spend the night ruining perfectly good, but undersized mitchell open-faced reels in an effort to get them in the boat. I remember he would crank the drag down hard, and if he hit a knobby head, a lunker, a big one, quick as lightning he would flip the lock switch in the back, holding his palm against the reel handle when the big boy took a run. I still miss that old man, and still drop a tear every month or so. Thanks for reminding me of old school days

i got hooked on those charlie brewer slider crappie jigs .you can really drag them through the limbs.for years i have rigged curley tail jigs like a texas style cream worm works good .to love you man keep catchin them fish.

I have a friend who is literally a rocket scientist and he says, " it really is pretty easy". If I were fishing in this location on the day you caught these one after another, I'll bet that I wouldn't have caught 10% of what you did. You are the Guru, the master, the legend.
