Your channel is the best thing I’ve ever discovered on TH-cam. I’m so grateful for these inspiring journeys you take us on. And oh, how I wish I could’ve attended this Biennale in person! It’s time for me to start planning my next Art vacation.❤
Each featured artist was worth the attention. For me, there would have been that moment, dragging myself away from the Kiefer room, knowing that the work would stay in my mind forever. I liked the filming of the Weatherford where the camera points at the sunlit windows, paintings and real space working together. Ambitious art all round and ambitious video making too: surely your achievement here is something be proud of. Super-duper.
I agree with Rita about the haunting beauty in the video. Anselm Kiefer's work especially speaks to the gods! Their poetic charge brings forth a profound and uncoded state of emergency. Stunning!!
Wow,! You and your team knocked it outta da' park! La Dolce Vita! Oh, and Thank Ewe! P. S. I'm a Pastel artist, have you explored this medium in previous videos and might you be doing so in the future?
Kiefer is one of my favorite contempo artists. The visual impact he gets w/o using very much color is pretty amazing. While Rauschenberg collects his imagery and materials from the street Kiefer, to me, is more Earth bound in his assemblages. The destruction of the this piece is quite the metaphor for Life. We're bound to Earth but one day we'll have to leave. Dust to dust.............................................................................................................................
not sure... if we're going to talk about the story they tell, or their meaning, not the extra-ordinary sense of materials and execution involved (I mean he's a master)... beyond this though ... honestly, looks like the opposite to what uve claimed, immortality to me... an obsession with it... these paintings r like totems showing one thing but ultimately working in another ... prototypical artist of his time... everything grandiose... supposed decay is merely a decoy and trend(lie) of today... this is why i can n fk wit kiefer, his aesthetics work contrary to the presence they evoke, a man in hiding imo, his images are those of ruins but they work to solidify an idea that seems to center around dark magick, Marcia hafifs painting will always signify freedom to me, whereas Kiefer's reek of oppression and egotism, if someone gifted me his paintings i would resell in an instant, buy a Parrino and a beautiful historic house in the countryside and live the life the german's and their orcs were so eager to destroy... Richter coming from East Germany produces far more humble and in my opinion beautiful work and his approach can be understood by anyman, we gotta get over these same old artists (all of them) always hogging the conversation
Thanks Mary Lynne. Nice selection of exhibits. Since you are in Venice any plans to visit the Peggy Guggenheim Museum? There is some really great 20th Century modern work there.
You inspired me to go on a gallery museum tour of Mexico City sometime next fall. I hope to recruit several friends to go along. Any chance you can be our tour guide? Thanks,Roni
I think you should 35 minute of just you, dressed in black, walking and turning around to smile maybe interspersed with an interlude of you sipping coffee or eating a croissant and smiling.
luv your work except for the part where you suggest we like & subscribe . . . totally unnecessary. Also . . . watching whoever that is walk, turn to look at the camera is not art . . . once is more than enough. That happened videos ago. It's not interesting. Showing you walking the street scenes is distracting . . . if street scenes are the target.
Great work by Anslem Keifer but burning the paintings after seems like some romantic gimmick or cliché. Too bleeding heart and seems insincere. Also how bougie. Like what a luxury to be able to even make paintings like that and then just waste them after. As if other generations of artists dont want to see them.
I like your show and how you produce it, but most of these artist are not even artists they have no technique can not finish a painting, have no message and frankly they are not even artist. The art world has sunk to new lows. I am sorry to have to lay this on your show
As an artist, I am so grateful for the almost haunting beauty in this video. Excellent camera work. Thank you.
Overwhelmed by the size of the theme and content of the Kiefer exhibit
I love to just paint and watch your videos major stress reliever
thank you for sharing
Thank you Mary Lynn! Like your video very very much! Look forward to Venice part 2😄

Thanks for the video, nostalgia. Hello Venice from Prague (Czech Republic)
Merci pour ce partage élégant et ces moments qui glissent sur les lots de cette ville toujours surprenante.
It is beautiful
Art and place and where you sit on long bench with beautiful art background
I enjoyed it watching
Thank you for great video
😍🎨🖌👋💕
So well paced, gives you time to view the works, and your voice is calm, not shrill.

I have been lost there every time I go it is a maze, it’s absurd existence is so interesting.
Thanks... Mary.... I liked them....Especially, Anselm Kierfer, Marlene Dumas....and Venice's landscape.. : )

Art means to me that is al about beauty and creativity. You show us a lot of this without making it political.. Thank you for this!

Can't wait to see it!😍

I love your videos, thank you!
I love your channel. It’s so beautiful
I loved watching this film... - absolutely delicious!!!
Me too stern 😍👋
Thank you! Interesting how Weatherford and Kiefer used the SAME palette for their shows: Venice spoke with the same voice to both.
and Tabouret, too, for that matter.
and even Dumas. The Venetian Effect!
Nice art work ma'am👌🏼
Nice channel and a great vlog
Beautiful camerawork
Thank you! The best Regards!
:)

Wow⚘️⚘️❤️❤️❤️

I don’t know if it’s due to the “zone” I’m in, but at a 4th advertisement break at 12 minutes of the video. I had to stop. Feels like comercial tv.

Couldn't finish ... they were running 2 ads several times and I wasn't even 3/4 of the way through the video. Sorry.
