      +Sebastian Shaw I don't have one, and I have no idea on imports, but I imagine it will cost about 30,000 American, and will be extremely expensive, and I'd rather have a Hyundai Veloster- it may not be as good or amazing, but it's new and still a good car.

    Like this guy's style, he's enthusiastic about his cars without having to rip off Jeremy Clarkson's analogies like so many car other reviewers do these days. "It flies like an owl, that's had it's balls coated in paprika......"

    I think what attracts everyone to Harry's videos is his honesty and true passion for the automotive industry, which hes able to convey to the viewer. Unlike many other presenters where you have the idea the the presenter is just relaying whatever the production team wants him to. This is what car video's/shows should be all about. Thanks Harry, keep it up!

    You can just see the school boy excitement Harry has as he is taking you around the car. Harry truly is one of the best examples of a petrol head. A simple, unrivaled passion for the engineering and emotion that comes with it.

  • @decnet100
    @decnet100 11 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    What a machine. Exactly the right mixture of "nah, that'll do!" machismo and dedicated oldschool mechanical engineering to me. As Walter Röhrl said (paraphrasing), Germans tried to build their rallye cars so perfect that they'd never break, which of course they did nevertheless - in Rallye it's inevitable. Lancia built their cars knowing fully well that they would break, built them well enough and lightweight, and made sure that everything could be fixed in a hurry. And of course, that was absolutely the winning concept.
    And don't get me wrong, that may sound like it's the simple/lazy way to do things, which it actually isn't. It takes enormous know-how and flexibility of mind to pull that off correctly - definitely more than saying "this thing looks flimsy, surely we should beef it up a bit" on every possible occasion.

      decnet100 "anyone can build a bridge that won't fall down, it takes a great engineer to build a bridge that just won't fall down" Colin Chapman

    Lancia ( Pronounced as Lan~Shuh ) produced many Beautiful Champion Cars over the decades , cumulating in the form of the Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione II in 1994! Lancia Delta Integrale in various variants won the WRC Championships from 1987 to 1992! Many more in the 1990s through Private Teams! Thank You So Much Lancia & Supporters for giving us the Lancia Delta Integrale >>> Still a Champion in many Fans' Hearts! 🕯🌷🌿🌍💖🇮🇹

    Something in my opinion that makes cars like that so special is the fact that the electronic input is minimal, unlike today's cars that may as well be transformers because so much of the manner in which they operate is dependent on electronics. This was among the last of the true great machanical 'drivers' car's.
    Now, to even get close to a driving experience intuitive as that your choice of new cars consists solely of the Toyota GT86, Subaru BRZ, and (the other one I forgot the name of)... And all 3 are exactly the same car.

    Can totally understand exactly what this guy is on about. I love my 95 ST205 Celica. The engineering involved in these Group A specials is fantastic. Twin scroll turbo, super strut suspension, chassis bracing all over, lightweight aluminium panels, massive front and rear ventilated discs with huge calipers etc etc. A decade before they were used in mainstream performance cars.

    In the early 90s I wasn't yet 10 and my dad had the first generation Integrale Evoluzione, I absolutely loved it. My first memories of how it feels a fast car are on the Deltona (that's how it's friendly called here in Italy). I remember pure enjoyment on the twisty roads we have on the Alps. Another thing that made this car famous among my family is that on the high-way you could see the fuel indicator moving down as it wasn't exactly a fuel saving engine.
    Anyway great car and very good video

Being an owner of a monza red 1990 integrale 16 valver since 7 years I can say that Harry gets all the facts perfectly right (which many other people, even some owners, seem to have difficulties with) and what he describes about the driving experience is also spot on. Really makes me appreciate all the evo diaries even more. :)

      Except, the Ferrari daytona, mk1 escort rs1600, opel manta, and others. But I agree that it does look incredible.

      Antony Collingwood I'm not a major fan of any Ferrari to be honest. I love the Mk1 (and Mk2) Escort, and I completely forgot about that!

      Luke Kindred I'm not a Ferrari fan but there are exeptions to all rules, like the Ferrari p4, now that is a thing of beauty.

    Harry your Evo videos are the best. In your own way you're every bit as great as Chris Harris.
