The first thing I tried was unbolting the mufflers (following a different video), but my mufflers are very permanently attached to my exhaust system with a thick layer of rust and crud and whoknowswhat! Then I tried getting that 14mm bolt towards the front out as described here, and that too will never move! I called my mechanic, and he said it was okay to leave that 14mm bolt in place, and just remove the five rubber hangers to lower the exhaust -- he said that's all he'd do in his shop. So I did that, using the jack to take the weight, and basically followed this video the rest of the way and everything worked. (Well, I needed a whole lot of penetrating grease, and there was some swearing, so it wasn't a speedy process, but everything worked eventually with no injuries to me or the car!) Thanks for this helpful video!

Guy, that was easily one of the most, to the point, no frills, most efficient delivery of information I have ever found on the YT, ever!
You just made my idea for doing this project so much more solid!
    Cheers

Might be easier to unbolt the mufflers and not have to mess with the exhuast pipe. Plus gives you more room to work under car.

Good thought! Sometimes exhaust bolts and gaskets don't cooperate. But assess your car and see if that option is doable 👍
