@@callmeskal820 Same. I was really hoping he'd let loose vocally after the solo but oh well. I did not expect it, but this is better than the Disturbed version, largely due to that breakdown.
that's because the U.S government uses the Military as the world's biggest terrorists to Occupy other countries and steal their resources for the Financial gain of the military industrial complex and it's why our dollar won't be worth shit soon.
One thing I will never get tired of seeing is how much FUN Leo has doing these covers. The camera work, the editing, the arrangements, etc......that is putting in work. I may not like every single one (although I never 'dislike' them either just might prefer the original) He is ALWAYS having a good time and showcasing his talents. If more people approached life this way maybe we'd actually achieve the ideals that a song like this espouses. Much love, respect, and gratitude from coastal North Carolina to everyone that takes this much joy in what they do, how they do it, and who may or may not see and hear it.
I'm very grateful for the subtle Spitting Image reference including the monkey like Genesis included all the Spitting Image Puppets. However the Disturbed cover is so ingrained that in the final verse I heard 'Shellshock' in my head after every line with a break. I really appreciated that this was a Genesis Cover and not a Disturbed Cover-Cover though. Leo always delivers so hard. Thank you for this, brother, it's an absolute jam \m/
@@jmathieson15 Those puppets had their own weekly TV show at the time, where most of the puppets were caricatures. Ronald and Nancy were regulars on it (a lot of political satire in that show). This dude Has the Midas touch! Every single song he puts his hands on turns gold! I have never cared for "covers" but almost every single song he has redone is better than the original in my opinion!!! You can see the passion and fun he has with his music. They don't make musicians like this anymore.
Not better than the original, but definitely on the same level for me, and to me that's crazy. In the modern day there's not many left like Leo for sure
The original was a moment in time. This song was an all-time favorite of my youth and reflects the somber mood of the nuclear threat in my generation. I'm glad Leo has stayed close to the original in his incomparably artistic way. Land of confusion will become one of my new favorite songs as well as Zombie and Sultans of Swing for example. Thanks Leo.
People are so weird. “Don’t do this cover because another band already covered it.” With that logic, no one should do covers then? Lmao This is a great cover.
I find just like the Disturbed cover, some how Genesis's version some how sounds more metal instrumentally. Disturbed's cover definitely has some more metal vocals. And this is still a great cover as well
No matter what version of this song exists the words are all that matter. Nothing but sadness and sorrow in this world and nobody cares. This song needs to be the planet earth's Anthem. Get with the program humans!!
I always so look forward to Leo's Fridays! Awesome....just awesome. Oh, and that drum fill coming out of 1/2 time interlude (bridge? Someone correct me if I'm wrong) going back into the chorus is INSANE!!! @ 4:10
I'm glad to have the original, the Disturbed and now this version. All three great songs in and of themselves. Was kinda worried how this would hold up given I love Disturbed's version to bits, but Leo managed to surprise me again and made this an absolute banger!
The puppet in this video is less likely to scar me for life than the ones in the Genesis version. I'm sure there are plenty of fans of Spitting Image puppets, but I'm not one of them.

Fantastic cover! One of my favorites growing up, too. Rush and Genesis are the bands that really defined where my musical tastes would flow from. I know that the song is already metal, but I would love to hear you do a cover of Avantasia's Twisted Mind.

@@GrymmSoul I love Leo's covers, but I absolutely agree. This cover is tame even compared to the original, and if you wanna talk about a true metal cover of this, it's hard to look further than Disturbed's absolutely bad ass version from their Ten Thousand Fists album.
I love how this version is SOOOOO heavy at just before 3 minutes up thru the end. You also SMOKED Disturbed’s cover of this classic song by making it heavier and more metal! INCREDIBLE as always!

I would like to hear "The Flame" by Cheaptrick!!! That would make me really happy! Thanks for everything you do, Leo! Awesome performance every time!!!
What sets Moracchioli's cover apart from the original is the raw power and intensity that he injects into every note. The guitars scream with a ferocity that perfectly captures the chaotic spirit of the song, while the drums pound with a relentless energy that drives the track forward. Moracchioli's vocal performance is equally impressive, as he effortlessly navigates the song's challenging melody with his signature gritty, yet melodic delivery. His voice perfectly captures the angst and frustration of the song's lyrics, creating a powerful emotional connection with the listener.
I love it when Leo sings more than he screams. This is a kick ass cover and pure rock and roll! I'm most impressed by the fact that Leo managed to set up a Telecaster for drop G! LOL.
Invisible Touch's other major hit. That is one of the album's major hits. An classic 80's song that I know by heart. Nice job Leo. Phil Collins would be proud of it.

Leo's version is much better than Disturbed's.

I triple that!
Fourth. Motion passed. Leo please
It seems like every time somebody comes out with a version of this song it is as relevant as it was in the 80's. Good job Leo I really enjoyed this.
That’s because Phill Collins Generation didn’t “put anything right” contrary to the songs thesis.
