Been running a Twk86 DSP for 9 months in my 2020 Corolla SE and it changed the sound so much. It feeds the RD 900/5 which pumps the HO 12W6v3 in my trunk. I’m saving up to add C7’s in the doors next and add a mono amp. I love J L Audio’s reliability and learn much from the videos, keep them coming.
JL audio subs were my first subs I ever bought and have loved your products since then (around 1993) these DSP amplifiers are awesome. I would love to have one to install in my daughters first car that I bought her for Christmas this year.

@jlaudio Although these are nice amps, i feel they may be underpowered. Take a look at the 6.5 inch C7 speakers running at 4 ohms,. they have a rating of 125 rms but the vx only pushes 75 rms at 4 ohms. You cant bridge them because that would put them out of warranty range. The HD 600 x4 channel would be beter suited as those push 150 RMS and well inline with the 50-175 rms power rating.. people want more power but choosing to use the VX amps you'd be leaving 75 watts on the table
Even without the giveaway. This video helped me because I am still trying to understand DSP amps and tuning them. Thank you. JL Audio product line is unmatched.
i would make a couple of suggestions as a vxi / tun user. 1. allow importation of REW files and overlay that onto the EQ and to then be able to use the EQ with the REW frequency response. 2. allow importation of REW tuning files. 3. allow for full tuning on a complex setup (3 way system) using the Android NON-tablet app. 4. add mic input to allow for autotuning with internal autotune software. add a coaxial digital input, as optical cables can be reasonably fragile and are digitally limited. amazing product and insanely easy to use. thanks for a great product!

Plus, if i use the optical in cable, do I have to run new wire to my speakers, or can I make a new harness that connects to the factory out harness for the speakers? I feel if I did this i would have to run all the speaker to their own channel and not use the crossover unit. Am I correct?
I really like the fact you can assign pretty much anything you want to do from the software. These things really are the ultimate processer combined with a high quality amp. With the contest they are running, it would be pretty awesome to pick up another. They are announcing winners on my bday lol.

This Christmas I’m treating myself to a new amp and speakers. After all my research and looking into amps for my truck this would be a superior choice.
Just incredible how far things have progressed since the late 80s and 90s. Using studio equipment converted to 12v for processing. Speaker warehouse was probably the first to use 1 or 2 amps with in house built crossovers running full systems. I was up against David Glass and his supra back then. Good times!

@@JLAudioInc how come you guys dont make a amp especialy for the C7 series. With pre set settings and some adjustments for people preferences. And digital buttons ( - + < > ok ect.. ) and smal scream to see the settings. for guys to like simple thins and do it yourselt. Not all people like computers. Just an idea.
We do not advise plugging or unplugging that plug with live power on it. You should remove the fuse at the battery before attempting that. It needs to be tight for proper good contact to allow proper current flow into the amp.

How to switch to optical input? Connected optical from device and no sound. Only getting sound from headunit and not my device.
The optical input signal will need to be routed to the output channels of the amplifier within TuN software.
My source unit is a ipad 12 pro...Can i use optical links to the vxi amps?
Yes! You can use an adapter to run optical from yoru Ipad to VXi

Why is the power clip so difficult to put in and out when needed?
The plug arch’s when setting it up or having to disconnect it …
