That plate at 11:53 was pretty unique and cool...and all those old handkerchiefs still new in the box. So cute ..I have that pear in white.

*I liked the oval mirror 🪞 you brought home, 🏡 but I was a little surprised you didn't take that pretty silver-colored hand mirror home with you, too. 😉 The bird's nests were a great find for 99 cents. They would look great inserted in your Christmas 🎄 Tree branches with a fancy glass bird ornament that has a long curled feathery tail sitting in the nest. I found some clip-on bird ornaments 2 to a pack last year at the Dollar Tree.*
The Goodwills around where I live in Northern California has changed their prices, home decor is now 3.49 instead of the usual 6.99. Hopefully your Goodwills will drop their prices as well. Sweet little pear, hope you find a mate soon! Much love from California ❤❤❤
Yeah those prices were a little steep...I think it depends on the area you live in. Tho goodwill has caught on to the whole resale thrifting thing and have raised their prices on items that sell well for the thrifters.

Our goodwill is high too,but sometimes they're way off with their pricing. I just scored 30 glass blown ornaments from Poland. Absolutely beautiful and obviously a donation from an estate sale that did not sell the items. They were each marked between 5 and 10 dollars a piece. I paid 8.49 for the entire box. One was even marked Vermont. Our family vacationed there every summer for 30 years. We're all connected to each other in some way,arent we?

I have the apple and pear pewter s &p set! They were wedding presents that I received 47 years ago. I have been collecting pewter that long! I found a tea set at my Goodwill last spring, and they gave me the set, a tray, 3 cups, a small dish and 2 vases for 20.00! The tea set had never been used. I was so happy to have found them. I sure wish I had been at your Goodwill with all of that pewter!!😊

It is funny to see all the Home Interior pieces again! Everyone had their decor in their homes! I think I was invited to someone’s party at least once of month and that was back in the 80’s …nice to see how well they are holding up !

Love your finds! Your can actually use the pears for Christmas with winter greenery as well. I'm getting more into Old World English country cottage decor for Christmas and they used fruit and pine cones for decor.😊❤
Danielle, Aside from the mirror you picked up loved the Bugs Bunny stein/mug😂 but not for $9.99. I think the Goodwill I go to here in Southern California wouldn't even charge that much. Maybe it's just because Universal Studios is less than an hour and a half from my location. 🤷 Love your videos. Can't wait for the next one.

Goodwill is getting ridiculous on the prices. There is also another thrift store off of 249 and 1960. It’s called Deseret Industries. It used to be Sports Authorities before. My mother took me there a few weeks ago and they are priced very reasonable. Not sure if you have been there. If your in the area, it’s worth stopping by. They have a huge room to the side that I almost passed up with lots of other things so be sure to walk the whole store.

I think it’s terrible how they hack the prices up so it’s out of budget! No many can afford the steep prices for used stuff!

@@HomeMadeVintage Ahh - I like Houston. 😊👍. I’m in California. Our prices have held steady for a while now - not too pricey. Also - you inspired me to go to a Goodwill Outlet. Ours littlerally had the bottom of the barrel type of stuff. I was shocked at the quality at yours (in another of your videos). Also -it was $1.79 a pound. The secret is to get lighter things. 🤗

Everything is priced high, even broken things. Australian staff mostly volunteers or people doing so many hours a week to keep their pensions if they are under a certain age. Does Goodwill have to pay all the staff in the US? I wonder what their overheads are. I am aware Goodwill dumps stock if it doesn’t sell. Why not drop the price? Stickers on paint and over brand names, and, permanent marker on wood and ceramic is, to me, very mean spirited.
Where I live, in Minnesota, everything is priced with a paper sticker. It’s a big sticker that says Goodwill across the top and unusually placed over any name on the items so you can’t read where it’s made or any information. The prices are high even though the workers barely get minimum wage. I live near the Mayo Clinic and so a lot of wealthy doctors are donating stuff plus they get stuff from stores like Target. A lot of times it’s cheaper to buy new at Target.
The only time you get a discount is when they have a percentage off on one day a week and it’s so crowded that it’s hard to find good stuff.
Goodwill doesn’t give back to the community and their CEO makes a lot of money too!
*Danielle, I had to stop the video about 5 minutes in because I kept saying out loud to the screen, "Are you kidding me, Goodwill⁉️" and, "Are you crazy, Goodwill⁉️ You are given these items FOR FREE - don't be SO GREEDY - lower prices will turn over your inventory much faster - and you will SELL MORE and MAKE MORE MONEY IN THE LONG RUN‼️" They have gotten WAY OUT OF CONTROL WITH THEIR PRICES HERE IN MINNESOTA, TOO, DANIELLE - and that's why I don't donate to them anymore and rarely shop at Goodwill. There are so many better alternatives here. 😎*
I think I’m just getting used to it at this point! Even the local thrift stores around me are higher than what I see other people hauling! 😩

Wow the prices are alittle high priced in your Goodwill ! I noticed that they put their initials on the items, why do they do that?
They are Roman numerals so people can’t change stickers. Silly.
