Look for a different path, for a position to strike enemies from a different side or high ground. Also use the chrono vision to see destructible terrain - can help you create new positions 5. **Contesting powerful dps, such as Hela/Hawkeye** Depending on who you play you do it differently. Or, notice when your diver goes for it and try to push frontline, to create more problems that the supports can handle. You want to overwhelm them - their frontline is dying, they get dived. Was playing a ranked silver game yesterday where my team was 5 deep at dps no tanks no healers…. Like I get you wanna play your guy but that’s how you get mopped and you would expect competitive players to have a bit of common sense, but nope. Just so frustrating
If you're not great at DPS play Scarlett witch in a pinch, Cloak and Dagger for support, and Groot or Venom for tank. All these characters are easy enough to half ass play and still be useful. Some of them you don't even need to aim 😅
I've never won with 1 support or 1 tank. People need to stop saying this shit. This is how you get 5 dps. You conflict yourself, tell people to learn other roles.
I hate dps that all they do is flank and don't ever protect their healers. Then they complain they lack healing while we are ofc dead and respawning. Why is peeling so damn hard for tanks and dps? I've gotten more help from my other supp than anyone else, ever, so far.
Idk. I am in bronze 1 and my team gets stomped every damn time like it is some beginners vs top 500 players. This is still a team game and I am not the guy with 30k dmg 50k heal and 80k dmg blocked to keep the guys alive who are supposed to be your team instead of your enemies.
So what about our Spider-Mans/Iron Mans/Iron Fists/Winter Soldiers/The Punishers/Psylockes/Scarlet Witches/Black Widows/Moon Knights that cant get kills or do very little damage or die more than everybody else but refuse to swap in Comp?
I am an Adam Warlock main but u can flex into captain America but the problem is I don't play cap like you should, I play him as a flanker. His damage is meh but he has so much sticking power that most long range DPS can't get away from him and dont have the health to survive and need to move forward into their team meaning my team can have better access to them
In my experience, the matchmaking seems to be trying to keep W/L ratio nearly even, and if yours is above 50-60%, you’re ranked or cracked enough to carry. Some matches you can win with 10 kills highest across the team. Others you’ll lose and have like 35 kills. I swear the game is trying to queue to keep balanced
Picking your favourite isn’t really good for anyone but yourself if you want to win working with your team comp is important, sure when your learning in quick play it doesn’t matter sure you can win with other comps but sometimes your going to need to learn your team and work around and with them to capitalize better over all Edit: that’s just how I play in general since I enjoy understanding how each class plays to both counter them better and use them if the team comp needs it like no healer mostly
ive been steadily climbing by learning a character of each class. I dont think 2 2 2 is the ideal comp but as long as we have 1 of each class then the game is always winnable. My only issue is im not the best at shooters so I need to work on my aim and mechanics to climb even higher
with jeff, should i be focusing on kills or healing? I always see people playing jeff and get like 5 kills but 25 assists, but for me i always get like 15 kills and 15ish assists. Idk if I'm playing too aggressive or something
I've had so much success starting off on venom and going spiderman when I see my dps getting no kills. I just get more value out of holding their backline or even getting a pick than jumping in off cooldown
1:00 I believe in early stages of playing 2 healers are needed cause most people a just "ok" at healing the team 11:30 I wish we had audio chat cause I constantly yell stop going that way, come flank with me
See the problem with those times is, the majority of people in the world definitely the majority that play the game, HAVE JOBS AND GO TO WORK FROM 9am TO 5pm THRU THE NORMAL WEEK they are FORCED into night games
i main psylocke and there was a cracked duo hawkeye and widow on another team, i was focusing healers and we lost one round coz all my teammates kept dying to snipers. Once I switched to just harassing (remember these are cracked snipers, i couldn't kill them easily) the snipers, we won the next 2 rounds without me making a lot of kills. Trust your teammates and identify enemy threats.
You have advice such as ults carry over which is some of the most basic advice ever. But zero advice for what to look for to change the tides of a match when your team is bad and getting steam rolled. These are things players need advice on to get better. Example. Don’t go cap with slow supports.
I will slowly introduce some more complex topics as time goes on. I know they may seem very simple but I think it's even more important for those who don't know it. I get your grievances 100% and will be making more advanced stuff soon.

Glad you are saying these things, I thought I was taking crazy pills as every forum around me kept on complaining about "no one swapping off DPS so I can have another healer" or something similiar, before the match has even started.... usually these people can't even get out of bronze, and say it's due to players not "picking right team comps" If you cannot carry in Bronze despite whatever comp you have, you are at best Silver anyways, and I am not trying to be mean when I say that. Also, it's not "swappin off" if you don't even let them play the hero before switching. Secondly, I want players to play their best character and best role more than I want them to swap because they are "supposed" to... I am a support main, and you best believe you gonna have to outperform me on the support role before I just swap off it - and trust me... you don't want me on a Vanguard... I'm ass. People think picking a tank =/= playing a tank but you can't tank without a healer, otherwise you're just feeding ultimates really. I say that so that you can maybe start considering whether you want someone to play who they can be effective on, or you want them to fulfill some ESports Team Fantasy Roleplay you imagine you are on. None of this is for you, Coach. But for any player struggling in rank, and thinking it has anything to do with their Team Comp or teammates picks that's causing it - I promise you it isn't. You can *always* have done something better than you did last round. And as it's the only thing we have power over to change, let's only let ourselves stress on those things and not the things we cannot. *TAKING DAMAGE IS NOT TANKING* *LOOKING FOR THE ENEMY OVER MAINTAINING SIGHTLINES ON YOUR TEAMMATES IS NOT SUPPORTING* *GUERILLA TACTICS TO GET A KILL AND GET OUT IS NOT CARRYING* The last one really grinds my gears more than "bad picks" or any other thing. If you're reading this, I want you to look back on your gameplay as DPS, and be honest with your answer for my question: Do you find yourself, swinging in, dashing in, going in, taking oout a healer, or "diving their back line and getting all their focus" before you dip out away and rinse and repeat? And then get frustrated that your team is not furthering the objective despite you "taking out x person" or "they were all focusing me, how could you guys not x, y, z" *Because we have been playing 6v5 this whole time, bro* . While you zip around the map looking for health stations, or blow your load with iron fist on a single character and run off after and come back a minute later... And when you do briefly show up, AT BEST you grab a kill before dipping away, so now it's 5v5...thanks? At worst, you just pop in, cause a support death as they try to overextend to save you from dying, but now you both die, and the team is wiped 4v6.. sick..., aaaand now the entire enemy team have Ults too... for us to respawn and fight them 6v5 without you again...and now your probably griefing about "your bad team" or just have a negative mindset going forward the rest of the match - making it next to impossible to win. If you take any of my advice from this, have it be this: a negative mindset is losing you more game than you realize. If you think you are gonna lose because the match is about to start and you have 5 dps and youre the only healer - you're right. You will lose. You might think this a corny statement or I'm overexaggerating, but I'm dead serious. It is 1000x harder to "somehow win" when you *EXPECT* to lose, than it is to win without any preconceived belief on how the match will end BEFORE IT HAS EVEN STARTED. Like, my guy, chill... Let them cook, and whoever is underperforming in their role should see if they feel they could be more effective by changing sometihng. Don't expect anything more than that and you WILL win.
I’m a dps main and I’m actually fairly decent at it. I understand not swapping to get better at certain characters, but literally every comp game I get into has 3 ppl insta lock dps. I’m not gonna lock in a 4th so I go heals or tank. Nonetheless those 3 dps proceed to absolutely feed their brains out and do nothing for the team. I’ve been hard stuck plat since comp came out, at least 70% of my losses has been to being matched with teammates that have 0 game sense or just feed all game and blame heals or tanks even though they’ve been trying to 1v6 all game. Any tips on how to escape elo hell and avoid horrendous match making?

@@lincolncothran The actual meaning of peeling is "keeping a threat away from key members of your team" (e.g. a support or squishy DPScarry). So for example, in Overwatch, using Reinhardt's pin to push their tank away from your support. Nowadays it's kind of watered down and people just say "peel" to mean "fight and help the support/dps being dove on". Similar enough, but, I think 'peel' makes no sense as a term for this, it should be something more generic. Just "help the support" rather than "peel for the support".
@ peeling is more so when you can cc the enemy ie stun them root them immobilize them while your teammate does all the damage to them it’s not as simple as just 2v1 them
Yep if you’re ever forced to duel, just glide away. He doesn’t have the right kit to take 1v1s up close. Shurikens are way too slow. But he does a great job at spam damage into double tank and backlines. Against overtime death ball that you may see often in Tokyo 2099 maps especially.
I am so sad that I have to stop playing competitive, it's making me too frustrated. 35 matches and I'm only Bronze II midway, that's horrible. I know it shouldn't be easy, but no way can I stand another match of idiots all going their own way and not staying anywhere near me as a healer.
Number 1 tip is don't fall in the trap of blaming your teamates. Being stuck in bronze means that there is something you can do better. Take that opportunity to improve yourself.
yeah tip 1 some support was yelling for two tanks and I said don't worry I'm playing cap, then yells at me to swap to a ''better'' tank like venom. I said I couldn't play venom that well. I was called selfish and he literally started screaming.End of the match we won my cap beat the enemy venom.

Just started comp. It is amazing to me how many people don't use a mic/comms.
Wild right?
If your Black Panther is going hard on the back-line, go equally hard on the front line.
In a 6 man, we've won with 6 dps, 6 sup, 1sup and any combo, etc. Totally depends on team comp, team chemistry, and who you know how to play.
Fellow Mills here, congrats man! Been loving the content, keep it up!
-your freindly neighborhood healer
I hate dps that all they do is flank and don't ever protect their healers. Then they complain they lack healing while we are ofc dead and respawning. Why is peeling so damn hard for tanks and dps? I've gotten more help from my other supp than anyone else, ever, so far.
Knowing your characters utility and purpose for winning is the key I'm finding now. So many maps on attack and my dps is hela, Hawkeye, moon knight.
Idk. I am in bronze 1 and my team gets stomped every damn time like it is some beginners vs top 500 players. This is still a team game and I am not the guy with 30k dmg 50k heal and 80k dmg blocked to keep the guys alive who are supposed to be your team instead of your enemies.
"4 dps, 1 tank and 1 support" meanwhile 99% of my games are 5-6 dps
Do not use the file he mentioned, Devs just recently made a comment they don’t approve so you already know what that means
So what about our Spider-Mans/Iron Mans/Iron Fists/Winter Soldiers/The Punishers/Psylockes/Scarlet Witches/Black Widows/Moon Knights that cant get kills or do very little damage or die more than everybody else but refuse to swap in Comp?
thank you) all of those are great advice. keeping the bar high as always, mills👍
Its not that people cant play roles they just don't wanna learn them...cough..dps players.
Bro, the way you talk is so interesting. You are just nice to listen to. No glaze
Ugh. Telling people not to be flexible is ridiculous. Let’s make it worse for everyone.
He said have a few characters per role you can play well. Being too flexible onto something you can't play would be a throw
Tip #1: Play in a stack or minimum duo
Tip #2: See Tip #1
x)
Yea but where do we find players to play with? I solo qeue always
Do you not play with 5 other people in your matches? Add the good ones.
This is a really good tip video all around good stuff man.
21:03 lmao he forgot to mention this is also when the players who have day jobs will be on. I ain’t day-queueing because I’m at work.
I am an Adam Warlock main but u can flex into captain America but the problem is I don't play cap like you should, I play him as a flanker. His damage is meh but he has so much sticking power that most long range DPS can't get away from him and dont have the health to survive and need to move forward into their team meaning my team can have better access to them
He’s a flanking tank… that’s how you play him. Your doing it fine
This is the only game that has gotten me off playing vr in years!
Its easy to say just play your character when 9 out of 10 times ppl will tilt even before the match starts.
We can’t play weekday mornings bro we actually work
"climb very easily" lol
Locking only your favorite character right at the start is dumb and a bad move. It depends on the map, gamemode, and then team comp.
Says you. Lock and win
Me listening to tip 1 then looks at my team: 0 kill Punisher
Him: hehe
Bro...we are working in the morning. 🤣🤣🤣
Finally! an actually good tips video! thank you
One thing I’ve been doing as Luna is locking on the air units like iron man to heal while I heal the tanks and other team members
Bro you’re just about at 100K, congrats!
In my experience, the matchmaking seems to be trying to keep W/L ratio nearly even, and if yours is above 50-60%, you’re ranked or cracked enough to carry. Some matches you can win with 10 kills highest across the team. Others you’ll lose and have like 35 kills. I swear the game is trying to queue to keep balanced
hey coach, i love your videos! keep up the good work!
Everyone acting cool unless your enemy has also watched this video
Picking your favourite isn’t really good for anyone but yourself if you want to win working with your team comp is important, sure when your learning in quick play it doesn’t matter sure you can win with other comps but sometimes your going to need to learn your team and work around and with them to capitalize better over all
Edit: that’s just how I play in general since I enjoy understanding how each class plays to both counter them better and use them if the team comp needs it like no healer mostly
He just totally slipped in on the sly that magneto was good after the backlash he got XD
ive been steadily climbing by learning a character of each class.
1:00 I believe in early stages of playing 2 healers are needed cause most people a just "ok" at healing the team
11:30 I wish we had audio chat cause I constantly yell stop going that way, come flank with me
See the problem with those times is, the majority of people in the world definitely the majority that play the game, HAVE JOBS AND GO TO WORK FROM 9am TO 5pm THRU THE NORMAL WEEK they are FORCED into night games
i main psylocke and there was a cracked duo hawkeye and widow on another team, i was focusing healers and we lost one round coz all my teammates kept dying to snipers. Once I switched to just harassing (remember these are cracked snipers, i couldn't kill them easily) the snipers, we won the next 2 rounds without me making a lot of kills. Trust your teammates and identify enemy threats.
If you're playing DPS and it's been a while and your damage is less than 2k might be time to switch to tank or heal
You assume that casual players that only play duelist have a plan
You have advice such as ults carry over which is some of the most basic advice ever. But zero advice for what to look for to change the tides of a match when your team is bad and getting steam rolled. These are things players need advice on to get better. Example. Don’t go cap with slow supports.
I will slowly introduce some more complex topics as time goes on. I know they may seem very simple but I think it's even more important for those who don't know it. I get your grievances 100% and will be making more advanced stuff soon.
If I can't hs everyone with every bullet, then I'm not ready for ranked
Ok, but one thing I saw in your chat during your King of the Hill explanation: "No one named AHMED is french".
Whoever that was hasn't been to France or doesn't know France at all it seems 😆
ANYWAYS AWESOME VIDEO THANK YOU (Imma need more Winter Soldier tips tho, ngl, still gotta watch the advanced guide)
Play in the morning, yeah right haha
Glad you are saying these things, I thought I was taking crazy pills as every forum around me kept on complaining about "no one swapping off DPS so I can have another healer" or something similiar, before the match has even started.... usually these people can't even get out of bronze, and say it's due to players not "picking right team comps"
If you cannot carry in Bronze despite whatever comp you have, you are at best Silver anyways, and I am not trying to be mean when I say that.
*TAKING DAMAGE IS NOT TANKING*
*LOOKING FOR THE ENEMY OVER MAINTAINING SIGHTLINES ON YOUR TEAMMATES IS NOT SUPPORTING*
*GUERILLA TACTICS TO GET A KILL AND GET OUT IS NOT CARRYING*
The last one really grinds my gears more than "bad picks" or any other thing. If you're reading this, I want you to look back on your gameplay as DPS, and be honest with your answer for my question:
Do you find yourself, swinging in, dashing in, going in, taking oout a healer, or "diving their back line and getting all their focus" before you dip out away and rinse and repeat? And then get frustrated that your team is not furthering the objective despite you "taking out x person" or "they were all focusing me, how could you guys not x, y, z"
*Because we have been playing 6v5 this whole time, bro* .
It's not that deep😭
I’m a dps main and I’m actually fairly decent at it. I understand not swapping to get better at certain characters, but literally every comp game I get into has 3 ppl insta lock dps. I’m not gonna lock in a 4th so I go heals or tank. Nonetheless those 3 dps proceed to absolutely feed their brains out and do nothing for the team. I’ve been hard stuck plat since comp came out, at least 70% of my losses has been to being matched with teammates that have 0 game sense or just feed all game and blame heals or tanks even though they’ve been trying to 1v6 all game. Any tips on how to escape elo hell and avoid horrendous match making?
hey can anyone answer something for me? i get killed by enemies who can see my white outline running through the walls. Is that a part of the game? its like the white silhouette doesn't disappear when you run behind cover quickly or sometimes it doesn't even go away. Thanks for the help.
The Punisher has a passive that let's him see an escaped target for a few seconds. You'd know that if you did the Tutorials
@@Bluemansonic See if you weren't being a dick and used your eyes you would see that i wrote enemies!!!!! plural! you know what plural means right? I know that punisher has that passive.. He's singular! you know what that means right? Dude if you don't have an answer just don't respond.. Now go smell some roses or find a girlfriend that doesn't require batteries..
Exactly they took one step forward and two steps back can’t count how many games I’ve played just like this since the patch
This guy speaks with the Mr.Beast cadence especially in the intro
low elo is a nightmare. team diffs are insane either you roll or get rolled it feels like
If you are bronze or silver it's a skill issue
@ I’ve only played a few ranked matches so try again
24:53 whats your source ?
Great video! ❤ quick question, is your brightness on 100%?
This video is only a day year old but when I check my top 500 today they’re all in gm+, but the thing is I’ve been in plat for like 4 days, way before this video was released I just never thought about checking top 500. Now I’ll never knowwww
I have and always will HATE HATE HATE the argument of "when you play makes a difference"
It literally doesn't, it's a coincidence. Everyone is in different time zones, different sleep schedules etc. You'll always get bums, sweats, bots no matter the time
As a casual who only plays solo queue, late at night, and will generally flex. I'm cooked.
Tanks let us healers heal you, stop trying to get kills😂😂😂
Congrats!!
I've recently hit a complete brick wall at plat 1. Can't get to diamond because there's a Hawkeye in every lobby. No clue what I'm supposed to do to deal with this
Straight up? I think I just enjoy playing too much of the roster. Same with Overwatch when I played it. But it's okay. I don't mind playing all the characters at a bronze level instead of some of the characters at a gold level.
The only time I’ve ever subscribed when a creator asks for a sub lol
What a bad video lol...
"Don't swap for comp, play your good hero."
"Swap if your underperforming because of comp."
"Play enough heroes you can swap for comp."
People don’t even know the game has voice chat. I’m still finding people everyday that do not know this.
Is there is a stable way to use team vc while playing in duo? Sometimes i speak but duo doesn't hear anything in ingame vc, so does the team. With my duo we are on discord , but i'd like to give team info as well. I hold ` to speak, mb i should switch channels somewhere? 🤔
Are there any good healers besides Cloak and Dagger? I feel like she's the only character that can actually fully heal the team and kick ass damage wise.
The night games is so true. Holy. Like Night and Day literally
Great video as always but saying there’s no chance in a 1v2 is next level diabolical statement
Would love more console specific tips from basically anyone.
That’s not what peeling means but I’ll allow it
I mean… more or less. May not be the exact meaning, but it generally gets the same point across
What’s it actually mean?
@@lincolncothran The actual meaning of peeling is "keeping a threat away from key members of your team" (e.g. a support or squishy DPScarry). So for example, in Overwatch, using Reinhardt's pin to push their tank away from your support.
Nowadays it's kind of watered down and people just say "peel" to mean "fight and help the support/dps being dove on".
Similar enough, but, I think 'peel' makes no sense as a term for this, it should be something more generic. Just "help the support" rather than "peel for the support".
@ peeling is more so when you can cc the enemy ie stun them root them immobilize them while your teammate does all the damage to them it’s not as simple as just 2v1 them
I’m new to the game and usually play AoE dps. Are there any with good range?
Squirrel Girl
But she doesn't have a game-changing ult like other characters have
@ I ended up with Moon Knight… he’s so broken
Tip for moon knight mains. High ground and off angles r ur friend
SCREAM THE FIRST POINT FROM THE ROOFTOPS thank you
I am so sad that I have to stop playing competitive, it's making me too frustrated. 35 matches and I'm only Bronze II midway, that's horrible. I know it shouldn't be easy, but no way can I stand another match of idiots all going their own way and not staying anywhere near me as a healer.
I Got to Plat 3 Yesterday 😁I'M SO HAPPY
Down to team? I usually get 25-30k healing tag: GetCreamedBih
Diamond 1 solo rn and I fill most games, haven’t had a problem
This video should be required before you play marvel rivals… And if you have 2 to 3 consecutive games, where you get 0 to 2 kills the entire time
Sadly I am still bronze 3 my ranked is not going well unfortunately can't get out of bronze 😢
I know how you feel.
Skill issue bruh (iam not even lvl 10 don't take this seriously)
@davidcreevey9171 maybe if I bad a team I could do a lot better then solo the only characters I played so far is starlord, luna frost and hela
Play scarlet witch. Easiest hero, best ult, turns invisible, easy ranks.
