Jeff's ultimate really needs to have its capture field nerfed. I was in a match yesterday and I tried tail-bouncing away with Squirrel Girl. Even at the very height of my jump, he still got me SOMEHOW. That and being able to eat Thor while he's flying in his ultimate is just dumb. Jeff's capture area should be a sphere with limited height, not an infinite pillar of death.

HI Thor Main here. This has been helpful. Didn't even know my E did damage since the game DOESN"T FREAKIN TELL YOU!!! this guide has been pretty helpful. :)
Not sure how. I've barely played Thor and I knew it did damage. Took 30 seconds of spamming abilities in the firing range to see what they did. Maybe I'm just built differently though. I spent like 45 minutes before jumping into any game to test out a bunch of heroes and combos. I approached it like a fighting game and tried things out before dueling opponents
@@ficroulaud People just play differently, may not have as much time to test, not care to, etc. What you do is probably pretty common and obvious for anyone whose not just casually playing a few games a week (not to say more serious players always do, but it's not rocket science to know that testing and practice teaches things). So not really built different, just average for a competitive person. People built different are those who are high ranking and making guides (ie Jeremy). But the ability info screen should tell you, at the minimum, that it does some amount of damage so if you just want to jump into a game using a random hero to clear some random quest, you can have a strong sense of what abilities to use and how in 1-2 minutes of reading.
Man I played over 10 games as Thor being the ramraider shift spammer, tossing the hammer now and then. Never used E, totally forgot to use it. I thought it was a bubble shield. And.. Damm, man, genuinely good guide, lot’s of little things I didn’t know about him. First time I played Thor I found him very clunky and feeling less fluid than other heroes, mostly because I was trying to use his hammer throw as his main offense and I didn’t respect his CDs and thorforce dynamic, after I figured some of it out he quickly became one of my favorite characters to play, now with this guide I’ll try to optimize the playstyle even more and the combos seem nice! I’d love some commented gameplay on him as well, explaining what you do and why you do to show some of that knowledge in practice! Thanks again for the great video
I wanted to learn a tank to main so my duo stops getting mad at me for instalocking DPS and I was excited to see this on my recommended and then just noticed you're a fellow chungal connoisseur. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, may we both heal from our brain rot in time🙏
Of all abilities in the game right now, Jeff's ultimate is the one that needs immediate adjustment. Reducing its height would be a good start and I also think his capture field should be visible during the wind up. People can see the radius of Venom's and Thor's ultimates, which aren't nearly as strong. Why does Jeff get to be invisible while he's ulting?
I decided to main Thor and also Adam for versatility. Appreciate the tips ! Thor has been my go to if no one else wants to play tank . Definitely agree his ult is tricky to get off but I’ve been having fun with him for sure
This is the best guide nearly half way in you have highlighted strats that come with experience and time played on thor. Absolutely agree with what you are saying about his abilities and how to use them to push a team. Highlighting pushing the enemy tank toward your team so that you can better focus the hela and other strong dps players that are preventing you from pushing. If you were to ignore the tank and try to push the enemy backline it leaves your team to distracted and out of position to help you dive on the healer and dps first. You might get lucky and snag a kill but it wont do any good and back to square one. I like how you profited off the tank being in front of the objective giving you cover as you have your back turned at the enemy on the other side of the objective making it harder to get you out of the game and easier to dps the tank and move on.

I either don't believe melee goes through shields or there's different shield types people don't ever mention. Every time I use a character that people say has shield piercing attacks I do not see it. Magneto with no health pops his shield and I'm not finishing him off, that tells me it does not pierce shields.

That's my fault homie I went off the wiki. The Wiki says 40 and the actual website says 45. But hey That means Thor does 115 with that combo that's HUGE!
My issue is not being able to combo the hammer throw after storm surge and vice versa. Only being able to use one Thorforce at a time is stupid
Any ideas on what’s best for controller on PC? So many are so complicated. Like all this Thor force stuff and this using all 3 but these only using 1. Like wtfff. Why can’t we just play 😂 my BRAIN. Who’s remembering all this???
Wow. His ult needs CC immunity or something or it’s going to be completely useless in higher rank lobbies.
My fart smells like boiled eggs right now. I do like this video
Man thats rough
Lol the most cancel-able move in the game
They should split cc into hard cc stuns and locks and soft cc like slows or displacement. Hard cc interrupts, and soft cc does not.
Take a shot every time he says “Thor force” - I dare you
LOL
And I thought I was good with him, I can be better now 😈
THANK YOU!
🔨
The bubble also shreds shields 😅
I either don't believe melee goes through shields or there's different shield types people don't ever mention.
Every time I use a character that people say has shield piercing attacks I do not see it. Magneto with no health pops his shield and I'm not finishing him off, that tells me it does not pierce shields.
is that the princess connect theme in the background???
YES
Show a gameplay, better to explain his strats and combos cuz in pvp things go different than training bots
Gotchu gameplaying coming 🔨
Thor's shift (storm surge) isn't CC? I thought he can counter it's ult too.
Completely slipped my mind until I uploaded 😭 But correct storm surge does also counter his ultimate !
JUMB Gang,
squad up!
anything can interrupt Thor's ult, while nothing can interrupt Hela ult
proof that they hate vanguards and why most people want to dps instead of tank
Hela went from 250 Health in the Beta to 275 health. CRAZY
@@ChungusJr what? i did not know that, thats insane!!
I love Thor I just like venom more. He’s very good in the right hands they just aren’t mine lol
Sunfire cape mentioned!!!!!
I genuinely do not believe you ever got top 500 if you think good players are going to burn a Luna ult for a thor ult
How do y’all get these images to make thumbnails
4K Thor Marvel Rivals Pictures gets some pretty good ones
2 things
Mini curse? Bro you did a class
And what is the site that you use so se the yellow thing about damage and more description
They're all on the main Marvel Rivals website under Hero's! You can get a super in depth look at every single characters exact damage, range, radius.
its alittle loud
Thor's achievement is get 4 kills with one use of his ult when there's 20 abilities that instantly cancel it 😂
I got ulted twice by a team jeff while in ult
IM SORRY LIGHTNING REALM DOES DAMAGE??? DUDE THEY NEED TO UPDATE THESE TOOLTIPS IT DOESN';T SAY THAT AT ALL
does hawkeye e counter his ult?
Nope, just his knockback shift ability!
I don’t like tht Jeff can eat em while in the air
