I cried when I saw this. I had the same one. I had my surgery (the fith one) two week ago. I can’t help myself looking at the mirror, even in the middle of the night to see if it’s not back again. It’s truly traumatized me physically as on my mind

I tend to grow keloids to on any wound that happens on a "moving part", like the knee, elbow, shoulder, etc.
With many trials and error, I found that silicone patches were the most efficient to prevent, reduce and soften keloids. After my knee surgery I examined the scar everyday, and as soon as I saw a bit of bulging of the scar I started applying patches and it stopped the keloid formation right in its track!
He seems like a very nice young man without any attitude. I sure hope he never keloids again.

For someone who had keloids because of an ear piercing I clearly understand what he is going through. It's not an easy road.

Same, I got mine removed six months ago with laser and corticoids hasn’t grown back thankfully

I had large keloids on both ears, I had surgery in 2005 to remove them and they've never grown back. My surgeon did inject steroids and that prevented regrowth.
Tip: After surgery I wore press on earrings for about 6 weeks. This prevented scar tissue from forming. Also whenever I felt a bump on my ear I pressed it hard between my thumb and forefinger until the bump went away.
Have a huge one on my chest, had 2 surgeries , injections and it always coming bigger. I even have the 5fluorocil which is a cancer medication btw

In 2016 my son had an accident he was walking home from school with his younger brother on the footpath, when two guys on dirt bikes were racing on the footpath anyway one of my son's gets hit in result my son has a big keloid scar on the side of his knee because of the accident people should not make fun of other people it's not nice what if the situation was vice versa how would they feel.

I was also born with microtia on the right ear. As a result, I am 50 % deaf on one side. But thanks to my doctor for the 3 surgeries I had, I now have a shape, not exactly perfect. Though noticeable, at least I do not get unwanted stares so easily.
Is it smart to use a piece of the keloid's skin to put back on his ear? Doesn't that heighten the risk of a keloid growing back?
They put some sort of injection so it won't grow back please dont be mad and fight me

What?.... I mean keloid is not a cancer or something which grows rapidly and multiplied itself it was just normal skin but was growing because if some complications of the reconstruction of the ear that he went through.
keloid is like scar tissue that can grow back from the trauma. If it is removed correctly and won't grow back again then is gone. I had seen someone have a big huge keloid that got much surgeries and it comes back over and over until the doctor or surgery gives a special surgery for the keloid I think on "the doctor" shows!

I knowbits not very serious unlike his but I was born with a pot belly due to pcos. I have always felt self conscious about it as it makes me look pregnant. I'd be having a glass of wine and get filthy looks or older women giving out to me, not believing that it's just fat

Hmmm. I'm no doctor, but I'm sure you could ask your doctors about that- if they can remove one on an ear, they likely can a chest. 🙂 Consult a doctor.
I'm no docter either, but I would suggest you go see one. First, to make sure it is a keloid and not something else that looks like one and second, to find out what should or should not be done with it
