There isn't a need to be fighting wars in 21st century. However, to keep up the false patriotism, attain material and induce fear, politicians still do it. A patriot will fight for her/his country, without logic, reason or common sense. For patriotism is a construct of emotions not logic. Bill's dialogue, content and actions are that of a logical man, logical pothead rather, more than an emotional patriot.
Of all the great men that have walked upon this earth, really, Bill Maher my hero. lol Come on man! Heroes are men of honour, respect, unswerving resolve and great sacrifice. Bill is but an intelligent pothead, whose content is gold. Hemingway's content was gold. Voltaire's content was gold. If you can bring yourself to read their words, and understand them. You are intelligent. You'd agree to that if you read their work. Doesn't mean they are my heroes. They are good reads, definitely. Some pieces worth agreeing to, some novellas worth agreeing with. However, they aren't necessarily great men. There are no great men left. So, Bill isn't my hero. My hero is a man you aren't aware of, perhaps most of the world isn't aware of. He's the one who's revived the philosophy of non-violence. Such great men, they are worthy of being called heroes. Not Bill Maher. Please keep your prejudices to yourself.
