At 2:28 CSX train #368 passes Berry Road and continues its way to Buffalo, New York. At 2:26 CSX train #M368 passes Berry Road. CSX train #I165 Berry Road at 2:46. 4:50 You Start to walk south on Berry Road toward the Norfolk Southern tracks to see if there might be a Norfolk Southern train coming. When we get to the Norfolk Southern tracks, you look east for a train. There is no train coming from the east. 5:37 You look west down the Norfolk Southern tracks and see a Norfolk Southern train approaching that is about a mile away. 6:33 Norfolk Southern train #310 starts across Berry Road. At 7:40 the BNSF DPU st the end of Norfolk Southern train #310 passes Berry Road. This train originates at Elkhart, Indiana and terminates at East Binghamton, New York. 9:13 We start walking north on Berry Road back to the CSX tracks to see if we might see another CSX train. There was no CSX train coming from the west. 9:54 We see a westbound CSX train in the distance. At 11:20 CSX train #M367 starts across Van Buren Road. At 11:59 the lights on the CSX milepost 44.8 signals light up as CSX train #M367 passes the signals. At 12:34 CSX train #M367 starts across Berry Road. At 13:08 a former Chicago & North Western yellow boxcar appears in the train. At 14:10 a former CNW green covered hopper car passes us. At 14:58 CSX train #M367 passes Berry Road. At 16:06 we look west on CSX track #2 but there is no CSX train coming from that direction. 16.:22 We are at the CSX milepost 41 curve on the west side of Dunkirk, New York. We are looking east. The headlight of a csx train is visible through the trees at the extreme left of the screen. At 16:28 eastbound CSX train #I008 appears from behind the trees and starts into the curve. Right behind the engines is a telemetry boxcar with DO NOT HUMP markings on the sides. At 17:26 CSX train #I008 rounds the east end of the CSX milepost 41 curve as the train continues up the grade to take it to the elevated tracks through Dunkirk, New York. We watch the train as it continues east and proceeds under the Control Point 39 signal bridge. The Tower that we see on the left side of the tracks is an abandoned New York Central tower that controlled the trains through Dunkirk, New York. Wide World of Trains told us that the tower was built in the 1920s and was abandoned sometime in the 1959s or 1960s. WWoT caught this train on 29 December 2023. 18:27 We are at the CSX Middle Road crossing on the east side of Dunkirk, New York adjacent to the Nestle Purina dog food Plant. We are looking east at an approaching CSX train in the distance which is passing under the Control Point 37 signal bridge. This is CSX train #M635. This is the train from Selkirk, New York to Columbus, Ohio that takes high sided gondola cars loaded with trash from New York City to Columbus, Ohio. At 19:23 CSX train #M635 starts across Middle Road. At 20:24 a mid-train DPU passes us. At 21:13 CSX train #M635 passes Middle Road and continues around the curve that will take it up the east end of the elevated tracks through Dunkirk, New York. This train was captured on 31 December 2023. You turned your camera to the east to zoom in on the signal lights on the Control Point 37 signal bridge. At 22:13 the signal lights on the Control Point 37 signal bridge turn off. 22:21 Your Outro begins and ends at 22:37. "Trash Flyer" M635 was a real treat to "bring the curtain down" on what you aptly referred to as the "old year"!!! Awesome work, WWOT. "Roll it" into 2024...👍👍
Hi Mike- I know from watching for years that for some weird reason you like to claim these "triple" and "quadruple" (with only 3 tracks) "meets", but you did actually get one meet, which was cool. Not terribly unusual, but cool. Anyway, love the fast trains even with all the strange "meets" where trains don't even pass each other. Happy New Year!
Have to agree with you about a quadruple train meet. The most he could get is an actual triple meet if there were two CSX trains and a Norfolk Southern train going through the two crossings at the same time.

Where are you located? It looks like you could be in Louisiana because of the condition of the roads. My dad worked for Southern Pacific for 44 years when he retired. He was the senior locomotive engineer at Southern Pacific when he retired. I miss him dearly. Thank you for putting the trains on. It brings back a lot of memories for me.
