With all the rules, regulations, OSHA, insurance, and lawsuits nowadays, it's amazing they still allow street running trains! Always cool to see something from the old days still hanging on 😊👍✔
I'm surprised how fast they run them. There is no way to stop for anything in the way at that speed. Most street running trains slow down. Good to see you Dave! I hope you have a great weekend and thanks for being here!
Jack London square in Oakland - on first ave. Lots of UP and Amtrak - Yoshi’s jazz club is right there and a musician in Tower of Power was hit and severely injured by an Amtrak
Wow I didnt realize not having loud and polluting trains carrying petroleum and industrial chemicals through my city was a form of oppression. I guess all peace, quite and fresh air is a bad thing. Next time instead of enjoying the peace and quite Ill make sure to complain about it.
Wow for a street runner they run pretty fast.Great job JT all the info is very interesting the rail checks are really cool. This is why you have the best railroad channel on TH-cam.

Great railfan street running video from Warsaw, IN. Thank you. I love the fast street running action, the long boxcar strings (boxcars are my favorites) and the beautiful location. Thank you for your patience and informative commentary.
Good morning Brian from Newmarket, Ontario! Honestly can't say l ever saw a long freight train running straight through a residential area street before! Thanks for the video!😊
Wow!! I find your railroads incredible! I love the locomotive sounds and this, there it's literally on the roads! Fabulous video, thank you so much for sharing. Paul. England.
Awesome street running trains in Warsaw, Indiana. Still looks so unreal but fascinating at the same time. Looking both ways across the street takes on a whole new meaning there lol. Another great job JT!👍🏼
You can tell with the horn it was going to be bookin JT! Awsome sight. They go a bit faster than in La Grange! I wouldn't like to be sat in my car with a train that fast coming towards me 😱 wow that dpu was loud! Fab video JT I was talking to you this day you had just finished filming this train & was waiting for another one. Loving Warsaw! The one in Poland is nice also. ❤😊👍
Thanks for making a local, for me, video, JT! (within 20 miles) You caught some good trains. I appreciate all you do, and I want to sincerely thank you for that. I hope you have a great week, and please, be careful out there! 😃😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am a warsaw local. That north south line has been in operation for almost 200 years. I live a little north of Warsaw closer to Leesburg. There used to be a small train station in Leesburg that rail passengers could board or disembark from.(same line) That was in use in the late 1800s and went out of service some time around the 1940s. The diamond used to be a lot bigger and had switches to allow trains to transition to the east west tracks. My grandfather retired from Conrail in the late 70s as a railroad engineer and gave me a tour of the switching tower that used to stand just east of the diamond. There was also a storage spur that used to supply that renovated factory(formerly "Little Crow Foods") on the west side of the tracks looking south (the large brick building on the right as you are viewing the oncoming train) I live about 5 miles from the line out in the country but i can still hear every train that comes through, and in my 55 years there hasn't been many days when a train doesn't go by.
Wow, that first train especially looks like it shouldn't be going down that street and it makes this footage extra fun! It's almost surreal. Third train, too. Definitely film more on this Warsaw street in the future! Great video, as usual.
Cool story. Decades ago in my small town there was a restaurant I used to frequent and one night as I waited for my to go order I kept hearing a Diesel engine idling but there were no big trucks anywhere. I paid for my order and heard the motor again. I asked the lady running the register what the noise was. ‘Oh. Thats the train guys. They stop a couple times a month’. Sure enough. I thought that was great. There was some reason train traffic stopped every now and then and the track being less than 40 yards behind the building the crew just pulled up and parked. Grabbed dinner and off they went.. lol. chatted with those guys many times . Real people. Good people!
Jaw Tooth; you're in the area where I grew up! That "short line" is the former PRR main line running from Philly to Chicago. It even hosted AMTRAK trains for a while. And Center St. used to be US 30.
We used to run thru residential area of South Pasadena, Ca. at 30mph on SantaFe main line 1980's. One night they were moving a house over tracks without notifying railroad. B. Bridenbecker made front page of L.A. Times as engineer of train that actually hit the house. Wish I still had that picture. 😂 1977 seniority date and Bruce probably had at least 20yrs on me. I told an old engineer his speedometer was wrong one time on Amtrak, I was a young fireman. "Kid,, you're watch is wrong". I can prove his name was actually James Bond with my old seniority book that I still have. 007
A fabulous mixed freight to open with, JT! I love the string of 86 foot box cars. And as many trains as I've seen go through Warsaw, I've never seen truck frames or DPUs go through there before. Nice catch! 😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️
