Stone Bridge High School Choirs - Bridge Over Troubled Water (Simon, arr. Shaw) - 2011 Final Concert

- The combined choirs and alumni of Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, VA sing Kirby Shaw's arrangement of Paul Simon's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" during the finale of the 2011 Final Concert on May 26, 2011 in the auditorium at SBHS. They were accompanied by Bryson Baumgartel (SBHS '10) on piano, Derrick Holman on drums, and Aaron Lee on bass. The choirs are directed by Debbie Settle.

What makes a choir more enjoyable is the fact of them having a lot of fun with the piece... that is evident in this! And not to mention the choir director is having fun with it too!! Love love LOVE it!

I sang this in my middle school choir a few years ago-- I never kept up with singing, but every so often I come upon this video and it makes me cry every time. I'm not even entirely sure why, but something about the song and the unity of the choir-- the girls holding each others hands, the boys with their arms around each other-- is so moving. Beautifully sung :')

My absolute favorite arragnement of a really good song! I remember when my school’s choral program did this as a finale. It was so much fun! Hard to believe how long ago it was.
This made me cry since I'm graduating this year and I'm in choir as well. We'll be singing this on our last concert and... The feels.. T.T for sure ill cry my eyes out during this song.

This is so amazing for a school choir! Amazing bass voices, but also the female voices! I love it so much. On my graduation we heard the same song and I still get the feeling if it is my last day at school. Thank you for this wonderful feeling!

I swear if they weren’t gonna clap I was gonna be so mad 😂😂, but I love this I had to find it and I’m happy I found this, lol. Junior year is going soo fast next year being a senior and singing this song will bring me to tears!!! Even when I sing this as a junior with my senior peeps I start to cry haha!

Did this in high school my senior year and had so much fun! It was so beautiful it almost brought tears to my eyes! I remember learning each part and stopping when we’d mess up, all of it. The boys always had trouble with the rhythm of some of the lines but for the performance we nailed it! Such good memories with this, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, and Old Irish Blessing.❤

Choir is compulsory... or that's one big high school!!
we do have a big choir class! this isn’t one ensemble, this is the whole department plus any alumni who wanted to sing (they get invited to sing at the end of the final concert)
chutetogether as a former choir student from SBHS (the school doing this) it’s a big choir
My school’s choir program at one point easily had this many people, not including alumni.
