I have an issue with #1 cylinder doing the same thing. Currently i believe i have blown the head gasket which im changing out now. Now on my way home not long ago, it was running fine with the exception of occassionally jerking. Anyways i turned of to get on a rd i live off of and all of a sudden i lost about 75% power could only go about 45mph and finally got home. It has cranked 2x since but now it wont. It will turn over but not crank. I have found that i have no spark on #1 plug so i changed out plugs and wires. I think that this issue is bc of the coil. Anyways my engine is a 1990 mighty max with a 4G64 non turbo. Suggestions please?
I think this might sound stupid but i think you got your 2 and 4 wire crossed. Looking at your video and pausing it looks like it. The firing order on the dizzy is 1-3-4-2. One being on the bottom of the distributor and moving clockwise. I've made that simple mistake more times than one. Another could be the coil pack is dead and dosnt have enough juice to complete a full rotation so skipping 4-2 and resetting on 1. Hope you got it running.
I’ll second this. I have a 93 Dodge Ram 50, and I swore I did the firing order right but I took some deep breath’s and checked again and I was wrong. Double check that shit, No, triple check that shit
si no da marcha chekale el bendis yo tengo una similar88 no se si sea bomba electrika cheka k bobmbe suficiente precion. ojala puedas conpartir si lograstes solucionar el problema.
There is a wire that comes out of the firewall on the passenger side into the engine compartment and it has a dust cap on it ...take off the dust cap and ground that wire it is your timing adjustment for some reason these mighty maxes have that stupid thing and sometimes it helps
Yes there is cps camps 2 in 1. It’s built into the distributor on these motors (have the same one and no spark at all
can you show me the firing order please i need to see the distributor and which plug goes to which sparkplug??

Maintenance required light can be turned off by pulling tab off of right hand side of steering wheel dash and clicking a switch inside the dash
Have you been able to fix your issue? Make sure that rotor under the distributor cap is in line with cylinder number one at tdc.

Have you done a compression test

hey bud! same truck now! i have the same problem?? did you ever figure it out? thanks
I have just done one, 1 and 2 were miss firing, you have a problem with cylinder head gasket.
What's a seal valve model for this truck?
I do not understand your question.
I have the exact same truck and i have the same problem. Did you attempt to time the distributor?
can someone tell me whats the cylinder head torque specs of this motor please
30 pound feet +90 degrees +90 degrees
Did you ever figure out what was wrong
It’s the computer on the passenger side under glove box
I know that’s the problem I paid 90$ to find out at the dealer
Make sure distributor timing is correct
Got fuel pressure?

By the light going off..id say the computer is communicating
Check your fuel injectors if it's dead cylinder
Take the computer out from underneath the passenger side of dash and you’ll see it’s shorted out. Go to junk yard and get another one!!
Change your egr valve
