Yup, and I always pair Foreigner - Urgent with Greg Kinh Band - Jeopardy. Sister songs in my opinion and both came out in the same era 1981 -1983.
These guys belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
They do, but Mick Jones, rubbed one of the big shots in charge of the R&RHOF and he said he’s never going to let Foreigner in, which proves politics plays a key role on getting in.
R&R HoF is crap. There are way too many people in it who don't belong, it's absurd.

This was actually their last Top 40 hit, in 1988. Kinda makes me wistful to hear it. "That Was Yesterday", "Say You Will", and "Double Vision" are among the ones you haven't heard yet (I don't think). Sucks that "Urgent" got blocked and never put back up.

Of all their hits, this is my favorite song by Foreigner. To me it's vocal, music arrangement, and tone, is in the same vein as their hits, "Waiting For a Girl Like You" and "I Want To Know What Love Is." Give it, Foreigner had so many other cool hits, but for me, their mellow sounds and instrumentation always helps to sooth the soul when needed. All the best to you folks....

In the eighties, Foreigner gave us some mellow ballads. Very romantic. This one struck 😢 my heart. I was going through my first divorce. Every time I listened to it . Tears flowed
Some very bittersweet memories for me tied up with this song. Haven’t heard it in years, but wow…those old feelings are right there. That’s the power of music!

Their biggest hit has to be the rock ballad "I Want To Know What Love Is" which loved by romantics worldwide.

And you can make a case for "Waiting For A Girl Like You" Being their biggest hit. It didn't reach #1 but it did reach #2 and spent a RECORD 10 weeks at that position, also it was #1 on the Rock chart.

Foreigner is one of the truly great classics.
“That Was Yesterday” and “Break It Up” are great uptempo power ballads. Do those two you won’t be disappointed.
You can't go wrong with Forgienor, especially with Lou Gramm singing the songs. Have you heard Urgent or That Was Yesterday? Lou has such great range in his voice. He can sing with a nice, smooth, romantic voice and then belt out those more rock'n vocals like Steven Tyler. Blue Morning, Blue Day is another great song.

Our daughter went to a concert with us to Foreigner and during “Urgent” we heard her singing as loud as possible: “Virgin, Virgin” and the rest of the other lyrics perfectly 😂. I won’t tell her how old she was but older than 10 and younger than 39!! Gaaaah I love that girl!!!!❤❤❤❤
Foreigner's 70s stuff are their rockers. In the early 80s they started transitioning over to pop friendly power ballads. Their 1981 album "4" had "Juke Box Hero" and "Urgent". That was their last rocking songs that made it as hits. Their hits after that that were pretty much ballads.
I was lucky enough to see these guys in concert just a few months ago. I can tell you, they are STILL rockin'. It was an amazing show.

I love the artwork on your back wall. The Bee Gees, Michael McDonald, Sinatra, Hendrix, very nice collection and very nice song selection. It's such a beautiful ballad. I can feel the emotion thru his voice. It's a sit back and close your eyes song. Its amazing all these years later Foreigner is still relevant. That's what happens with great music. It never fades over time. Probably my fave Foreigner song💯
One of the best bands of the 80's. All the other songs mentioned are outstanding like this one. The had this distinct echoing effect that marked them every time. If they're not in Rock Hall of Fame, they should be.

One of their lesser known song's is Heaven on our side. It is a really amazing love song. It's one of my faves from them. Lou Graham is really amazing on this one.
I really enjoy this channel. I am nearly 80 years old and have seen Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry in the 60s and Foreigner, Scorpions, Aerosmith, Motley, RATT, and some others in the 80s,90s, 2000s. Would like to suggest the TH-cam video of Winger on “Easy Come, Easy Go”. You will see what a hair band concert was like in the 80s.
Great song. Love Foreigner. The current singer (he’s the second singer) used to be in a hair metal band called Hurricane. They had some mild success. Excellent band. But he sounds a lot like the first singer. Both talented

This ballad, as many were in the day, was a huge hit. Rock bands in the 80's had a formula - hit them hard with a couple of hard driving tunes and then bring in a ballad to draw in the chics. It worked! Not my favorite Foreigner tune but it is good. Here are some better ones. - "Blue Morning, Blue Day", "Double Vision", "Say You Will", "Urgent", "Head knocker", "That Was Yesterday",

They were one of the bands at my very first concert; Cal Jam 2 - 1978. I was 15yrs9mos, and I was there for about 27 hours. My brother disappeared around noon....and I hitchhiked home to San Berdoo after Aerosmith was done.
Counting every minute is my fave, def rocks out in this song👏👏👏👏👏
