    That video quality is killer, man! Loving the new setup. I think I've got this on Monday, so from one dad to another. Haha!

      Thanks, JAX. You know I'm a car guy first, videographer 5th or 6th so that kind of compliment means a lot to me. Still working on the craft, but the new setup has been helping a lot.

    Looks like Toyota is running out of overall design ideas.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's just the design theme for this generation, X X. This gen Camry launched a few years ago so we'll see more changes with the redesign. But it does seem like a lot when you see them everywhere. Thanks for watching!

      @@AutoAcademics they blend in and aren’t distinctive anymore, aside from the no frills engine they’re just any old car now in a crowd with older looking infotainment systems unlike other brands.

    I'm a Supra fan, but Toyo is trying too hard with the styling of this Camry IMHO. Good mileage tho.

    • @AutoAcademics

      Style-wise, there's a lot going on, but I prefer much more to the Camrys of past. Thanks for watching, SupraX!

    Absolutely love the red interior! 😍 I hope they keep this as an option through the next couple years.

    I think the latest Camrys are great...and there is something about an NA V6 that I like better than any turbo 4. Great job Chris, i love how your reviews continue to evolve and innovate while being true to the history and the mission.

    Guilty as charged. I have a Camry in midnight black metallic. Been a great vehicle. Nice Review Chris. Great to see that you are healing up.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, Alex B. I'm just glad Camrys aren't as vanilla as they used to be. We own a 2009 (in black with NO metallic LOL), but it's just an appliance that runs when we need it to. These current-gen are the best versions yet, IMO. Thanks for watching!

      @@AutoAcademics Agree 💯%. I've owned several thought the years. The Gen 8 is the best.

    I love the XSE hybrid. Just wish it was a 240hp or more.
    Please Toyota give us a plug in Camry XSE.

      It's been a couple of years since we've had an ES, shinkuflame, so that should be coming up. And don't get me wrong, this gen Camry is the best yet and a great driving car. But you're not going to fool anyone with why you bought it. LOL Thanks for watching!

    This car can easily get 650+ miles of range in a full tank. And it look amazing also.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah. While SUVs are what people are buying, this midsize (large?) segment is still going strong and Toyota isn't giving up easily to the Koreans, AbsoluteMdot. Lots of choices and configurations are available for this Camry, making me dislike my 2009 even more after driving the new ones. LOL Thanks for watching!

    Toyota has the best hybrid technology and will milk that cow for all it's worth rather than make the transition to all electric. At this point they are so far behind Tesla and the Koreans that they don't have much choice. They might yet survive but it will be as a much smaller company 10-15 years from now.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      One thing I know about Toyota is that they won't put something out until it is ready. No betas coming from them so I'm sure they're working on something that will come to light when the time is right. EVs are still finding their place in the industry and as long as the infrastructure is still being worked on and developed, there's still time. I appreciate your comments, R. Brown. We gotta keep the manufacturers honest. Thanks for watching!
