Daniel 7 is about the kingdom being restored to the holy people. The following verses are important to the timing of Daniel's vision:
    Daniel 7:11-12
I continued to watch because I could hear the little horn’s boastful speech. I kept watching until *the fourth beast was killed and its body was destroyed by fire.* 12 The other three beasts had their authority taken from them, but they were allowed to live a while longer.
Observe how Daniel saw *the fourth beast killed and its body destroyed by fire.* If the fourth beast/kingdom was the Roman Empire, then Daniel's vision extended well beyond 70 AD. The Roman Empire continued to grow and flourish well into the second century. And it was not destroyed until 476 AD.
Whatever the "little horn" of Daniel 7 represents, it is clearly according to the workings of Satan. There was nothing in Israel's first covenant that prescribed such behavior. It was a schoolmaster and tutor to bring God’s children to Christ. And to their promised New Covenant with Christ as their King. Now all Christians are part of the good and cultivated olive tree. Brought near by the blood of Christ!

Daniel 12:7 does NOT say the holy people would be shattered. It only speaks of a "power" being shattered. And there is disagreement among Bible scholars and translators about the meaning of who or what is shattered in Daniel 12:7. But very few Bible scholars think it's the holy people themselves who are completely shattered. There are at least 12 translations that render the verse to mean the power persecuting the holy people would be shattered. And we can't divorce the meaning from the same terms used in Daniel 7.
      Compare these two passages,
      Daniel 7:25b -27a NIV
The *HOLY PEOPLE* will be delivered into his hands for *a time, times and half a time.* But the court will sit, and *his POWER will be taken away and completely destroyed forever.* Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be *handed over to the HOLY PEOPLE* of the Most High.
      Daniel 12:7. NAB
The man clothed in linen, who was upstream, lifted his hands to heaven; and I heard him swear by him who lives forever that it should be for *a time, two times, and half a time;* and that, when *the POWER of the destroyer of the HOLY PEOPLE was brought to an end,* all these things should end.
Both passages are about the same time period, per FP.
Both mention "a time, times, and half a time."
      Both mention the "holy people."
Both mention a "power" being destroyed.
I think they are both speaking about the same thing. The deliverance of God's holy people by restoring the kingdom to Israel. And taking the power away from those wicked chief priests and Pharisees who were of their father the devil. Acts 1:6, Romans 11:26f

The "power of the holy people" that was shattered was the covenant they had with God, which was Torah. The "power" was their covenant. With no temple and no preisthood, they could no longer practice the Torah. Their covenant was "shattered" in 70 AD.
Only a righteous remnant inherited the new Israel (Christianity) after 70 AD. The remnant inherited righteousness in the New Covenantal Messianic kingdom. God only preserves a righteous remnant, eg. the days of Noah, the Exodus of the righteous remnant who inherited the promised land, to the great tribulation of 70 AD.

@@70AD-user45 I think Daniel could say "covenant" when he wanted to. Daniel used the word "covenant" seven times in chapters 9-11. There is nothing to indicate this word "power" in 12 :7 means anything different from other places Daniel used it.

Mr.Preston, could you help me with Revelation 19:17-21. It speaks of the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies who make war with Jesus. And the birds are filled with the flesh of those kings, mighty men, and their horses. Who were these people who gathered together to make war with Him who sat on a white horse? The Whore of Babylon had just been destroyed in chapter 18.

I reckon Revelation 19, 17-21 was apostate Old Covenant Israel. Not much has changed today.

@@70AD-user45 So who was the Whore of Babylon that was just destroyed in chapter 18?

The wailing wall is actually a retaining wall built by Titus to expand the platform that the temple sat on. So "not on stone upon another" is factual.

That does not add up. Titus was there to destroy and take Jerusalem apart completely.
After the Romans had wiped out the Jews it took them about another 18 months to carry away all of the building blocks of the city.
They left some of the fortresses standing at that time, probably for safe accomodation for the worker soldiers.
And the wailing wall is part of the base of Fort Antonia.

@@colingr318 Correct, it is Fort Antonia. The Jews today must surely know they are venerating a Roman wall. What do you make of these 4 red heifers that are going to be sacrificed in Jerusalem? It is all theatre? They don't have a preisthood. The genealogical records of the tribe of Levi preisthood were stored in the temple, which went up in flames in 70 AD.

Daniel 12 has a built-in time statement of 164bc. Daniel 11:36-45 is about Antiochus Epimanes.
Daniel 11:36 NKJV “Then the king shall do according to his own will:
he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god,
shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods,
    and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished;
for what has been determined shall be done.

Super Good Don 👍-A great study for any serious bible student is to pull up every mention of “Avenging Righteous Blood “ and The Blood of His Servants”from the book of Revelation - Then head straight in over to Matthew 23:35-36 with it!
Matthew 23 completely dismantles Rome being responsible for all the blood shed- dismantles the late dating-dismantles Revelation being in our day.
