Oh my god I haven't watched a Nobbel video in months but suddenly got the urge, guess I'll be spending my next few days just binging everything I have missed.
Well it is kinda true though. The Zandalari that followed the prophet Zul (not talking about Zul'Jin here) literally gathered all troll tribes, sure, but to take on THE WHOLE FUCKING WORLD! And you know what happens whenever a force of any kind basically declares war to all factions in Azeroth. Vol'Jin was the one that could save the whole species because his tribe was the only one willing to become full allies with a major faction instead of thinking trolls can take on everything on their own (Like the Zandalari that followed Zul) or only ally with anyone for convenience (like the Amani trolls with the Horde during the second war). Its always been my greatest wish that the trolls of Azeroth finally realize that to make the Empire rise again they must ally with the Horde. And that's kind of what's happening here with Battle for Azeroth. I bet the Vol'Jin questline ends with Vol'Jin's spirit being the ultimate factor that makes Rastakhan fully join the Horde.
In the Blizzcon panel, WoW Devs said there was going to be a storyline about Vol'Jin that Hordep layers will explore with Thrall. And Thrall carries his ashes with him. Wouldn't surprise me if it ends with Vol'Jin becoming some sort of Loa Spirit and that's what fully convinces Rastakhan and the Zandalari to join the Horde. Again this is pure speculation, but I would love to see this play out.
Well there's where I disagree. I like Vol'Jin. But if you ask me why Vol'Jin specifically? Well because they not only did they kill him for fairness sake in the Broken Shore, but his death was just completely anti-climatic, unlike Varian's. They basically fucked up Vol'Jin in Legion to keep Alliance players from being mad and to give Sylvanas the Warchief rank. So its only fair they fix that mistake. Besides, even if Zul'Jin was a good idea, he's not sided with the Horde. So it wouldn't even make sense to have him turn into a Loa and convince the Zandalari to join the Horde, right? EDIT: Well that and... There aren't that many important troll characters to begin with. Not that they would care to bring back. So Vol'Jin's really the only choice Blizzard has.
Yeah they have been leaving some good characters off the spotlight, as well as some that do need some extra action and lore, like Rokhan as you mentioned. But what really worries me about the Trolls is that we have no known or important characters, at least that aren't enemies of the whole world. The only really known Troll that wasn't against the world is, well of course, Vol'Jin. You could argue that Rokhan is also pretty known, but if you haven't played that WC III FT campaign with Rexxar, you don't really know who he is. So I just hope that now that we have a full Troll continent that isn't focused on making the trolls look like an evil force (finally) Blizzard will actually give them a few more memorable faces and characters. There are enough Orcs and Humans with known faces in Azeroth, bring in some trolls!
Can't blame them for being angry at everyone. The Trolls were on Azeroth before the Elves and Humans, so it's understandable that the way they were treated had them super pissed off.
Yeah - they are 100% going to be an Alliance Allied Race (Blizzard has been quiet about silvermoon, because if it was confirmed that the Alliance were going to attack silvermoon, then it would be obvious that they would team up the Amani - don't think i need to explain way on a comment in this video lol)
