- Hello gamers! What is going on Multiversers? Now that Multiversus has fully released there are quite a few things that players experienced during the open beta version of the game that they no longer can in the full release, so today we'll look at 9 differences between the two.

I miss the old perk system

Everyone does some of those perks helped fight against annoying characters and attack decay helped too but they made it useless

This is MultiVersus 2.0 beta. The full game launches season 3 imo.

I’m slowly warming up to the new multiversus. I’m starting to stop comparing it to what the beta was and just thinking about it as a new game

@@liquidtruth7954if that is Olympic level mental gymnastics to you then bless your heart. The game is essentially a new game, new interface, new engine , new net code, new currencies , new rift pve mode, new mechanics: instant air dodge etc, so its not that far fetched that one might try to look at it from a fresh perspective rather than constantly comparing to the open beta which this game is similar to but has many changes including but not limited to: camera zoom , larger character size relative to map, improved gameplay / hit reg precision and improved accessibility for casual players at the cost of reduced gameplay speed , etc etc etc.
One of my very good friends I do miss a lot of things from the open beta like some of the other perks and some other stuff as well. This was an awesome video. Appreciate you always.
So many people have a ton of perk currency and they remove most perks how does that make any sense
Honestly the monetizing of this game is whats gonna kill it the insane amount of time it takes to get a new character is stupid
People can’t unlock characters in the game based on unlocking characters😂
I never really got to play the beta, but even I agree that the beta had better elements than the final release. I feel like the only changes they should have made are the bigger character models, the slower speed, the new dodge mechanics, parrying, dash attacks, and the changes made to some of the characters' movesets. Everything else from the beta should have stayed the same.
If they increase the bugbunny safe cooldown in 15 % its a good idea lol

I'll never understand why they won't get rid of that enemy/ally colour tint but still allow you to remove outlines…

Attack decay is technically still a thing. Its called staling an attack like in smash brothers. The more you use an attack the weaker it gets and less damage it does and the game remembers your last 7 inputs. The problem with og attack decay is some moves like WW fair and ground neutral even on decay were still very good to use. In fact it being on decay sometimes allowed it to continue comboing into itself which was bad. The way they stale attacks now is much better and more healthy. Too much stale just lets you combo with attacks that shouldn't.
Also what happened to the booster things that you could use for characters xp boosters things and they would last for 1 hour to 3 hours or 12 hours was it ?

i have no idea why they decided to split up their currency its so pointless it just makes characters so much harder to unlock and the perk currency is absolutely useless and they give you so much of it (it doesn't really help that perks suck now)

They're saying they're working on it. Latest patch had some fixes related to that and they said it's still a priority for future patches.
I play on Xbox, I haven’t had disconnects since last patch.
I thought attack decay was good. surprised they took it out but Banana guard would be hard to play if it was still in. I also have like 8 tickets left. And YEAH. how did rerolls not come back. i get it though. but toasts were so much fun back in beta and now it's kinda overlooked

I will never understand why they removed SO MANY PERKS. Like how do you re-release your teamwork focused game with LESS options for teamwork?!

Because most of the perks were useless so they removed the ones no one used
@@rocketman63397 you sound like someone who didn’t play much of the beta. Build expression was a lot more varied back then because perks allowed you to make up for weakness for specific characters, or strengthen what they were already good at. And the large variety of perks made it so you could make something cool for almost every character. You can still “technically” do that now, but to a waaaay lesser degree.
@@Me_Myself_Maly I played a lot of the beta, to the point where is have the highest tier of those exclusive beta rewards you got for having gold.
But yeah, like I said, people didn't use 90% of those perks. There wasn't more "expression" than there is now because roughly the same amount of perks are being used.
I'm sure more will be added but I can almost guarantee you didn't use more than 10 of the universal perks.
@@rocketman63397 my point is they had something for everyone. On top of them adding new perks every now and then. And it really only feels like they’re working backwards by removing perks. If your theory that they removed them because they were barely used is true, then that’s poor game design in my opinion. The devs decided to just toss unused perks instead of buffing or reworking them. Which makes no one happy. They removed the perks for people who did use them. And they rob people of the opportunity of them being used in the future if they were buffed or reworded. And also gave no explanation or reasoning as to why. At least as far as I know.
Also, I highly doubt something like a perk that reduces cooldown times in a game that heavily focuses on cooldowns, would be barely used. I personally had a cool down focused build for my Bugs that prioritized a zoner/caster play style.
MVS Open beta > MVS "full launch"
Attack decay still exists in current Multiversus. Its just not as harsh and is now hidden rather than being an obnoxious pop-up / sound effect.
The fact that so many people think its been completely removed and so many combos consist of the same attack repeated might mean it needs to be tuned up a bit though. I personally don't want to see the pop up come back though.
It just stales now like in smash. They are working on something to stop looping with same moves repeatedly.
It clearly don’t exist the knockback power on some characters are already op that stale mechanics is useless
@@piplonf8591 you're very wrong and haven't actually done any testing. You're just basing that off of games youve played. The move isn't going to get so stale that it can't kill only that it won't kill as early. Just like in smash. Bugs up air fresh will kill around 100 or so from the floor. Staled it's closer to 150.
The Open Beta was the Official release, this "Official" is still the Beta.
My best guess is we will get more perks as we continue through new seasons and updates to the game, though hopefully they will slowly release them just in case one of them end up being broken.
I do wish Fighter Currency worked more like Gold, right now if you've unlocked the full roster it's useless until the next character(s) come out but even then that's if the fighter isn't free or a part of the next battle pass. I'd love to use it on costumes or other stuff when I've unlocked everything.

I really dislike how negative people have gotten over the game ngl. I really do like this game a lot, and it feels much more manageable than the previous version, the one where you had too many perks that went unused and infinite dodging with too much speed. There is still a lot to love. Sadly, the TH-cam thumbnails and the Twitter mains will only cover the negatives. Is it too much to ask for a positive viewpoint? Oh wait, this is the internet.
It seems like that’s what people click on, sadly. If you just post gameplay it doesn’t get as many views I guess.. but some of the negative responses have been valid. I do understand redesigning the game on a new engine, takes time to work out the bugs, glitches etc… I think the best option was for them to take the time needed and not rush the release, if it wasn’t genuinely ready. Maybe corporate heads are demanding deadlines idk
I mean if you want to defend the game for the sorry state it is, up to you. But a "full relaunch" with less content from the beta and wanting your money for everything is actually bad.
The game doesn't feel rewarding when is asking to level up your gems with money and purchase lives for the most difficult game mode. When they put a money wall for everything, even the most basic thing, characters, they shouldn't cost 10 bucks.
It was more fun when it was fast, the skill ceiling feels way lower, they simplified alot of the fun out of it

The time it will reach the beta level most of the players would have left by then, unfortunately. They made a mistake not sure whether they were forced to upgrade the engine or not, but after that a lot of changes were made and a lot of things were removed. Its bit too much focused to make it pay to progress in xp gain and in rifts. Apart from that input delay is too much and connection errors are still there, along with that there are stuttering issues after latest update. They are trying but i dont know why WB is testing communities' patience for no reason, as they want to grab cash as fast as they can. Already knew I wouldn't be able to complete the battlepass because of the doubled xp gain needed to complete. I won't get also get most of the characters as quickly as i can. They have doubled the time and also doubled the price to get them.
