Hi Ben, my search continues for an easy setup awning/ tent. Which is easier to put up/ down: Jet Tent F25 OR the Blackwolfs 4p(?) awning, please? Cheers, r
The Jet Tent awning is probably easier to setup, Robert, but that is because it is a simpler design. The Turbo awnings are peaked which means they have a ridge pole that is a little more awkward to setup, but it sheds water much more efficiently than the flat awning design on the Jet Tent. ~ Ben
Now if Black Wolf along with all the other manufacturers would start to make their bags a bit bigger. This tent and other roll up things can be so difficult to stuff into a bag that's simply too small as most are. It surely can't cost that much to add an extra 50 mil to a bag to make it easier to pack things.
Its an with all brands, and different types of gear @Kein Name, not just tents. A common joke in the camping community is whether or not something fits back into the bag. ~ Lauren
I wouldn't say it was better, windogwow, they are different though. The Coleman Instant up, which I assume you are comparing these with, is made for lighter duty family camping, their frames and fabrics are not as durable as the Turbo Tents which are heavy-duty tents for 4wd touring as well as general camping. ~ Ben
Thanks for the info. Better than the Black Wolf videos.
I'm glad it was useful. ~ Ben
Reminds me a lot of the oztent jet tent. I have one of those, and they have since discontinued them.
Yes, quite similar. There are differences in the knuckles on the frame and fabrics but the general concept is pretty much the same. ~ Ben
Would you recommend seasoning the canvas fly?
It does come seam sealed so in theory you don't need too, but its good practice to season all canvas camping gear - just incase.
~ Lauren
Thanks for the tips, from Adelaide also✌
You're welcome, Ian, all out vids are shot in Adelaide, it's where Snowys started. ~ Ben

Way too big for motorcycle and not dark at all inside. It looks awesome though (and very good quality) !
It gets reasonably dark inside, Kalvin, it's not a light blocking fabric though. Too big for the motorcycle though. ~ Ben
