I like him because he's slow. Nowadays most video game enemies are fast moving just for the scares. Tyrant really makes you feel creeped out.

Mr X is the greatest implementation of a single enemy in any horror game I've ever played. The way his mere presence completely changes the context of a set piece is unrivaled.
I'd argue the alien from Alien: Isolation is quite up there as well.

Especially when you compare it to Mr. X from the original RE2. In the original, he only shows up in the B scenarios, and he's a pushover enemy until the last fight with him. Mr. X was a rude awakening for me when I first played the remake. lol

It is far more terrifying to think that when the new head grew, it essentially cut off William's head from his own body. He is there still in form 2, but his brain no longer control the body. He is just a passenger.

i noticed in his g1 form, he seemed to have retained some humanity and control when it came to his daughter. dealing with chief irons in the orphanage and bisecting the tyrant when it was tryna get her. but when he entered his g2 form is when he lost it.

He was taken completely by surprise because he was busy opening the elevator doors (I wish the trailer didn't spoil this), that's what I think. I was expecting a long fight, but whatever. His power limiter (the coat he wears) was half destroyed in the end so I think that's why he didn't fully mutate. In original RE2 when he fell into the molten steel, the coat completely melted off and he fully mutated.

I was never a fan of Ada. I always found her a bit too aloof and on the cold side.
I always loved Claire for her compassion and protective nature for Sherry and the others she has helped and saved over the years, it just seems more right and also more romantic that Leon would fall for Claire.

G virus is superior to the T virus and Capcom deliberately placed that cutscene to illustrate that Birkin is stronger and superior. The game revolves around the story of the G virus. Mr.X was placed in a sub role. All of it is story driven. Stop basing it on gameplay.
