A Beatles cover by Josh is an automatic watch
Every time
And an automatic like

Beat me to it
Josh posting is an automatic watch. A Beatles cover by Josh is clicking Like before clicking Play.
Emulating a whole band with just one guitar. It’s amazing how you play every detail of the song while you’re singing. Well done
I counted five instruments.
Highly impressive.
Pretty crazy isn't it! I was thinking the same thing..... that complex structure of the song, while singing it!
My words were here before I could post them. A whole band in a six string. You need to tour Josh.
Actually I'm listening to this while doing my tax, so not concentrated on the song fully, so my mind kept reminding me: Bro, this is just this one dude playing.
One voice, one acoustic guitar, one mic for one great talent playing one great song. That's good
He is the One.
Best kind of music
one lava lamp
….one Vanguard Audio V44S stereo mic!

Anyone out here who plays guitar has to admire the amount of skill that it takes to play on this level!
The really impressive part is his ability to sing and play at that level
for me its .... how can he come up with this good stuff? playing is one thing
The guitar fulfilling the enormous job of all instrumental parts was EXTREMELY well done! Vocals excellent too as is the norm for Josh.
yes it really made my head fill in all the other parts, flute, trombones etc. from George Martin's arrangement.
and even all through the fade out
Agreed about the Instrumental parts...the fact that he attempted it (the parts) at all is freaking awesome, and then he does it tastefully, accurately and not all goofy and half-assed...really, really cool
guitar is the only instrument that can play bass, chords, and melodies at the same time. it's an orchestra in a nut shell
I’m 76 years old and a guitar player since age 15 who cut his teeth on The Beatles - all I can say is amazing! ❤️
Everybody stay calm, STAY CALM!!!
Edit: That was absolutely incredible
😂.......my head is EXPLODING atm......hard to keep calm...... 🥵🥴🤯
Nobody that is not a musician can even fathom how much work and dedication this requires…
You’re a blessing to music my man!
Agreed. Incredible playing!
youre completely righ
Ten thumbs up!!!
I’m speechless. Absolutely fabulous. From a 73yo Brit Beatles fan
Me too. Not you’re age but I’m
Completely with you!
That was Not good, this was fantastic. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Im 70 yrs old, playing guitar since 13 yrs old, and I love watching this talented young man and his friends! Catch Josh and Carson playing “Big Iron”.
I can only imagine Paul sitting next to you, watching your performance shaking his head with a smile on his face
It’s a Lennon tune so maybe John may have shaken his head with a smile on his face.
This is impressive as hell. With all the orchestral elements and weird changes it’s not a song you just pick up and play on the guitar. A real talent.
turner is king! my jaw is on the floor. cranberry sauce.
Absolutely the best cover of this song by 1 person. Using the guitar to do the vocal harmony on the final refrain was brilliant! Well done Josh!!!
Fantastic. The perfect cover of an almost 'uncoverable' song.
The outro was mega.
This 70 year old Beatlemanic is very pleased! Thank you for keeping the music alive!
I also thank you
One of my favorite Beatles songs of all time - in my opinion THE iconic representation of the depth and breadth of their remarkable talent as composers, arrangers, and musicians. Strawberry Fields is unique, complex, and so very, very cool. Never did I think it would be possible for one guy with a guitar to recreate the feel and vibe of the Strawberry Fields experience. Until now I guess.
What an awesome arrangement for guitar. And I love how you tap Ringo's fills on the body.
I’m always speechless when I watch this young man.
How does this guy NOT have millions of subscribers??? C'mon, folks!!! If you're not subscribed.... just do it!
No
@@nsme6942theres always one hater in the crowd. Today its you. Nice going.
Why would you automatically assume I'm a hater? I just won't subscribe, that's all. I liked the video.
Nobody does this song justice. You, sir, are one of a kind. 🩷
Paul McCartney should record with you. Josh, you are a complete musician! As a 68-year-old Brazilian, and crazy about the Beatles, it would be an incredible meeting of two generations, of two superb musicians.
McCartney not MacCartney
Letting the open string ring in the opening progression is pure magic! The whole thing is wonderful, but that open string ringing just makes it!
I was wondering how that sound happened. I thought there was a 2nd instrument dubbed in. Amazing!
@@mazeman01The unusual very low tuning of the lowest string (6th) makes this possible.
Me, beeing 78, remember the original version. Let me tell you, Josh Turner comes very close to this original version with only his voice and a guitar. BRAVO!
I am 68 years old, here in Brazil, I have several Beatles long plays, and I can say with certainty: Josh was magnificent!
"that is you can´t you know tune in, but it´s all right". Meaning: we are all welcome.
Easily 8 years watching/listening and enjoying the art Josh. You should be proud
Good lord, Josh. Amazing arrangement, stunning performance!
Ditto! Totally AMAZING~
Mr Turner, you are astounding. Many of your brilliant covers (when you use a band) are of course more 'complete', but this....One man with an acoustic guitar takes on one of the greatest (and most complex. highly produced) recordings of all time, and gets so close to virtually every effect on it. Words fail me.
Josh, I'm from Brazil, I'm 68 years old, I really like everything you present. This song with you playing and singing was spectacular!
This kid is stupid good and crazy talented. Not to mention covers the absolute greatest songs ever written.
Excellent! Since they released this song 50+ years ago I don't recall hearing anyone ever covering this song, much less nailing it so beautifully, and I was around when it was released!
Hayseed Dixie did a bluegrass cover of Strawberry Fields, and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs did a bilingual cover with Debbie Harry on the vocals. Both were quite a while ago, however.
Candy Flip?!
A whole orchestra in two hands and one voice. Marvelous!
On second listen it is obvious that you love this song and you channel that love into your guitar and it comes radiating out. An old man who has tried to play the guitar his whole life bows down to you.
"That was Good....That was Good..." Hell, no it wasn't.....that was magic and sorcery. I am in awe. Nicely done Josh!!
Gosh, Josh! Your arrangement skills are second only to your playing, which is second to NONE!
I must’ve listened to hundreds of Beatles covers, but this one beats them all! Fantastic! AI eat your heart out! This is the real music!
Oh my! When will the chills go away?
I was mesmerised by this. Josh's absolute mastery of his instrument is amazing and the amount of work that must have gone into capturing every nuance of this Beatles classic must have been tremendous. Thank-you from a 70 year old Beatles fan.
You surprise me every time. You managed to reproduce the strings and the effects, even the harmonies in the last chorus. Magic.
Josh's interpretation/transcription (whatever is called) of this song to guitar is underrated. Incredible!
Like when Sir Paul and Ringo watch this: "This bloke should've been in the band...". As a life-long fan of the Beatles, I get goosebumps all the way through this majestic performance! Bravo!
All the details in this song are being played on one guitar.genius.incridable
to tell the truth I was very skeptical when clicking on this vid. I thought even grand master Josh Turner could only fail trying to do SFF justice by performing it just accompanying his voice on one guitar . But boy was I wrong! Incredible rendition my friend" Coming from a huge Beatles nerd.
I feel like this about all Beatles covers but Josh always does them beautifully ❤
the bassline in the pre-chorus is so well done. I had to rewatch it like 7 times.
That's exactly what I like: every single shred of sound heard in the record, in its right time, duration, tune, timbre (when possible) and more... which is something that not just anybody can do, even if we all heard the same things (I guess...): more than brilliant, probably memorable... my compliments golden kid, it must have not been easy 😊😊😊. A great weekend to this nice and talented couple of artists (and to everybody 😊).
Excellent cover. I'm one of billions of Beatles fans and I really appreciate. BRAVO.
You are just amazing at capturing so many nuanced expressions from such a wide range of instruments and voices in your arrangements. Thanks for sharing your creativity and talent with us all. :)
I'm not afraid to say that it's the most incredible and magnificent cover I've heard in my life.
I came here to write these exact words.
OMG ..... I can't stop crying. How on earth did you do that? It cannot be better than the original, but it moves me just the same. Thanx great man, love you!
Genius. No other words for it.
Oh my gosh! You got all the details right! Absolutely brilliant. I've been saying that for years: you are the most complete musician on internet!!!
Omg that rake/picking pattern at 0:40 😳
And then the incorporating of the bass line at 1:42 wow
If he wrote the guitar for this then that’s truly extraordinary. Genius even.
This arrangement is by Josh.
Beatles music is the best that the 60s ever gave us ❤
And the ‘70-‘80-‘90’-‘2000..❤
In the end
The Beatles
Will have been
A phenomenon
That occurred
But once
In the vast history
Of
The
UNIVERSE.
How fortunate we are to have been witnesses.
Almost as rare are those who possess the talent and passion to pay fitting tribute as is presented here.
Yes, indeed!
I think most people don't realize how complicated it is to parrange & lay this *and* sing along while playing it. Despite the impression one might get from TH-camm, this man's talent+knowledge+skill is rare.
COULDN’T AGREE MORE!!!
I’ve noted this many times before, but it is truly amazing how certain subtle aspects of the original suddenly emerge in a cover of the original, and that blows your mind all over again. The specifics of this song are musically magical.
Josh Turner is a gem. A true musical virtuoso talent and a blooming flower.
Your Beatles covers are always beautiful
I was wondering how on earth he was going to do all that keyboard special effects of the song. But Josh did all that brilliantly on an acustic guitar. Superb! Great job man!
The best acoustic version I have ever heard 🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful. There are millions of Beatles covers but this one must on the top. Amazing. Thank you Josh
John Lennon was truly a once in a lifetime talent.
You cover him so well. Happy to see it after so many great Paul covers!!
Even Tommy Emanuel and Marcin can’t sing and play four part accompaniment. Josh is the top musician and producer in maybe the world. He and his cohorts are my top entertainment and sometimes education.
Well-said!
That guitar playing while singing is outrageous. Also, tuning the E string down to be your bass is badass.
You are a wonderful musician Josh Turner. Why aren't you famous?
WOW !!!! That was so cool. Even the Sitar parts. I can't believe you played it live and sang it. You are so talented. I have been playing guitar for 63 years and could not even come close to that performance. Great job.
Any guitar player here knows this is performance is impossibly difficult. The singing and the accompaniment, just wow.
Stunning! To even remember these complex parts and transitions, but to then play them flawlessly with nuance and feeling, WHILE singing throughout....I can't even wrap my mind around it. So well done! Thank you!
That tone, paired with those slides at 2:03 is just sublime
Just want to add to the accolades -- this is a fantastic arrangement and played very well! The singing is amazing, too. My compliments to Marie! I don't know how she orchestrates it all...
5:10 minutes ago I was thinking the best Beatles cover was We Can Work it out" by Stevie Wonder; from now on I am not sure anymore. Music is emotion and if you can "strip" a song like that and deliver that emotion like 4 of the best musician ever existed with a single guitar... it means you are "out of this world". thanks Josh, absolutely amazing.
A one-man Beatles... excellent, Josh !
Not just good Josh, incredible. You play the album, produced version, raw and alone with your guitar. Good, hardly. Friggen amazing!!!!!! Best cover ever and ever ♾️ Im on full repeat, thank you so much
Simply the best cover of this song!!! REALLY GOOD!
God Bless the Cranberry Sauce 🙌🙌
My fingers could not resist, I mean calling you phenomenal would be pointless you already know that. Absolutely breathtaking rendition of a timeless masterpiece
From the first video I watched from Josh, over a decade ago by now, there immediately was this sense that he wasn't just a fantastic musician, but also, should I say, "genuine" and "thoughtful".
It warms my heart that he's clearly on the frontline in our defense against the poison of generative AI that is about to infest creativity. 5 to 10 years from now, "going analogue" to fight the (digital) cancer might have gained a lot more traction. Right now, it's a reinforcement of my high opinion of Josh.
Stay on this path, buddy!
2:20 through the end is incredible. doing the cello part is fantastic
Fantastic - incredible - I´m speechless.
Never thought, that it is possible to cover that song with one man and one acoustic guitar in that quality.
Hat´s off, Josh!
Remarkable song. Remarkable performer.
Brilliant! As a long time Beatles fan and very picky critic of Beatles covers ,I am super impressed by the amount of detail you put into this guitar arrangement, especially capturing all the low cello parts int it! Love it! Superb!!!
Du zeigst uns gerade einmal wieder, wie schön einige Beatles-Songs wirklich sind!!!
George Harrison would be proud. That was amazing!!!
Why just George? John Lennon wrote and sang it.
I'm so impressed that Josh presumably works out all this complex guitar chording on his own, since as others have said, he is imitating five Beatles (George Martin).
More Josh solo covers, please! They are the best.
How to be outrageously experimental and create a masterpiece by The Beatles. Greatest song ever written in my opinion.
Wow! Just wow!
The 2:36 bend is so beautifully done.
Incredible arrangement! Tommy Emmanuel needs to see this! Love the part where you start playing the melody on guitar at the end
one of my favourite beatles songs
Stunning. And so analogue
How can I stay calm, when that rocked my world?!?!?! Holy Moly. Gonna watch this over and over. Why did the guitar sound that way? Is josh gonna give us a lesson on how to play that?????????????????????????????? OMG.
Man, that must've taken a lot of practice - pure perfection! You're mega talented, Josh!
A favorite memory of mine is using my sisters first gen ipod, eleven years old, going for a walk in November listening to this while my family gathered for Thanksgiving. Singing nothing is real and drugs never crossed my mind!
He can't keep getting away with it
Yea he does. And his bird can sing, too, while he’s a Baby driver and Sitting on top of the world while he’s Still Crazy after all these years. This dude is musically holographic, in a very awesome way!! 🌈🪴
Amazing. Thank you very much for such great performance. The Beatles, John - the greatest!
Just brilliant. And so sympathetic and respectful to the original.
It's those little details - little slides and percussions and variations. And over it all that clear pure voice.
A confirmed talent for arrangement.
Lennon would be proud sir!! That's the best cover I've ever heard on Strawberry fields
a whole band in one guitar and voice ,amazing talent !!
This guy.. I mean hth do you fit all that talent in you. Magnificient solo arrangement 🙌🏻
Nobody could do it better…NOBODY! Truly AMAZING! Your skills are Jedi. Did you by chance meet somebody at the crossroads. Just saying.
What an incredible arrangement! I hear mellotron, swarmandal, cello, brass, drums, bass, bongos, even the harmonies. Everyone knows the song so well, that all you have to do is just suggest a part with an iconic riff or phrase and our minds fill in the whole thing. Great choices, Josh.
