Gary I really enjoy you working on your bike , excellent video .. I had to chuckle when I saw this tonight replacing your crank with a 42 inch on your trike . Kind of reminds me of a the old song "little old lady from Pasadena" this time on a trike ... good job
My wimpy e bike has a 52 tooth chain ring and I still ghost pedaling at the highest gear at around 16 mph. Gonna have to call ghost-busters to help me out.
Pedro. If I was ever in your neighborhood I’d come fix that bike for you Hell, if you lived near me, I’d give you one of mine. Thanks for your loyalty.
Can you get a crank that’s slightly smaller than the one your using, but still larger than the original allowing you to keep the original chain and tensioner and will still eliminate ghost pedaling? Perhaps not as much as what you achieved, but better than stock. Thanks.
@@GarysE-BikeAdventures I refer back to the TK1 review done by Richard Curtis and his complaint about the 'ghosting'. I believe he relies on you to do his "heavy" work(?)😉Did you ever replace a crankset for him?

@@GarysE-BikeAdventuresHi! I am 75 yr. old woman., and stand just shy of 5’. I have been looking at getting the Lectric Trike for 2 reasons: its lighter frame/size, and its very reasonable price. I haven’t ridden a bike of any type since 1980, when I struggled with a three speed. I am a bike novice, for sure! I don’t imagine I’ll do a lot of peddling without the assist. However, what exactly is ghost peddling? How will I know if this DIY upgrade you so excellently demonstrated today would be necessary? I would have to take it to one of the two small bike shops we have in our rural town. Thank you for any info or helpful advice you can give me! I enjoyed watching your video. I’m gonna Subscribe.

Thanks!
Thanks, DAVE you’re awesome. You’re the first person to ever thank me.👊🏻

Great Job Gary. Might have to do that to my TK1 eventually.
I have plans to do the same with the tk1
Thank you for the Video Gary. Very helpful!!
@@markswedebarrett1960 I ended up putting a 48 tooth on it. It was much better.
Did I miss the reason for not using the original chain tensioner?
The the crank sits lower, so the tensioner tensioner sits too high, so it doesn’t even touch the chain

Did you have to buy a different tensioner or could you have used th stock one.

Will this work on the Mooncool TK1, using exact parts (except for Lectric crank). TIA.

Why not take a link out and use the original idler pulley/tensioner?
@@alcrowell147 the pulley will not drop down enough and you have to add to the chain, not take away
I wonder why Lectric doesn’t do this themselves? Ghost peddling is one of the biggest e-bike issues and this is a simple fix.
