I have dark hair, blue eyes with cool undertones and really needed this. I haven’t wore makeup in 10 years and you have really inspired me. I’m 59 so thinking because of you, going into my 60’s won’t be so bad. I’ve never had any interest in makeup videos but came across you this week and have been binge-watching ever since. Thank you so much for motivating me to take better care of myself. You are very blessed to be able to do something you love and inspiring others at the same time. Thank you again. With love from Iowa

I’ve found that since letting my hair go naturally gray (actually more white) I had to change some of my color choices. While I love earth tones they make me look like a cadaver. I appreciate your tips as being put in a box is boring so the ability to change things up no matter cool, warm or neutral is great.

You know what I’d really love to see? Your entire makeup collection! You have GOT to have TONS of makeup, from all the years in television, and now all the makeup you’re buying for your tutorials. Please do a video showing us all your makeup cabinets and drawers! Then go through and pull out all your favorite items as you show us. 😆 That would be an awesome video! Pleeeease 🙏🏼

I am 63 and you have taken me out of the box. I have been watching your videos for about 2 years. I am super glad that I have found you. My hair has been the shortest it has ever been. I even changed the hair color. I went lighter for the summer. I tell everyone that it's my summer look. (thanks to you) I have bought different color eye shadow pallets. I was always using the browns. Now I wear reds, purple even a little yellow. And thanks to you, I even know how to apply it much better. The magnetic eyelashes are next. I am a little afraid to try them. Thank you for everything you have shared with with.

Can you believe I was 48 years old before I discovered that I have neutral skin?! I’m Arabic and Greek and just assumed I was warm but when I switched my colours, I looked and felt so much better! Thank you so much for another educational tutorial. The lavender dress looks fab on you. 💕

@@ursulaclarke6066 Thank You Kindly, you also, it’s pretty bad here atm, most to all States are closed now and still having to wear masks when out only for necessities, I’m a home body so that part doesn’t bother me that much, but I’ve got to eventually go and get groceries soon, we have to sign in to every store with the government app which makes it difficult for the elderly who don’t have phones that can get that app on them, but all that’s on the news atm is winning the Olympic Games bahabaha, I couldn’t care less about the Games, I’ll be either too old or pushing up daisies Lol 😂 when that time comes around, money that could be spent on much better things for our country. If we’re still around we might come and visit your part of the world, we did once and always said we’d love to come back and see more, it was a Wonderful Holiday. Dominique, this tutorial and product information was invaluable. As many times as I have had my "colors done" as a gift from Mom and sister, I've not gotten as much information from the individual as I have from this AWESOME TH-cam video. I'm buying new make up, as shown and will watch this video many time to get my makeup done as well as you do yours. Thank you for your gracious and giving spirit. You and your life are an inspiration to your community!

I don't remember seeing you in all cool-toned make up shades, Dominique; you are wearing 'my' colours today! The best thing I ever did was to have my colors done, just out of nursing school, when I was in my early twenties! I am a 'Winter', so my colour palette in make up, clothing, accessories, and jewellery include primary colours, and non-pastel cool shades plus pure white, black, and silver/white gold (those who are 'Summers' look best in pastel, cool colours). There are many women and men who are just not aware what colour palette best accentuates their complexion, so I suspect this video will be helpful to so very many! Another way to start determining whether one's complexion is cool, or warm toned is to use one drape of fabric that is pink, and another one that is peach, to hold up to the face to see which looks better. Love your new background, Sweetie; it looks fabulous! Love, and hugs, Dominique, Sherrey💟

Lovely! A tip for fair olive tones: Essence makes a green color corrector compact powder that I dust over my base to bring back harmony to my face. As a fair olive tone gal with light blue/green eyes, I have a really difficult time finding foundation that actually matches.

Makeup artists used copper on Princess Diana to accent her incredible blue eyes. This look is beautiful on you today. This hair color brings so much life to your face with the contrast to your skin. I have fair skin and hazel to brown eyes and o have loved purples to mauves for most of my 81 years.

Great video Dominique. I’m a neutral, although I’ve always loved cool tones. However, I went from blonde to a beautiful copper red hair color and I find I can now wear many colors that used to scare me, especially eyeshadows and lipstick. And the new hair color makes my blue eyes pop! It’s really amazing how hair color does transpose things. ❤️👍🏻🙏

I could never figure it out myself, either. But, I think I look good in almost every makeup shade and jewelry color, so, I finally figured out about ten years or so ago, that I'm probably a neutral, after I did all the test questions of skin tone you are. The problem I have now is with undertones!!! LOL!!

I have blue green eyes and if I wear a golden color eye shadow with a Navy eyeliner my eyes look really blue. If I wear copper tones and use a purple eyeliner my eyes look really, really green. I am pretty sure I am a neutral although i have been told by make up artists that I am cool toned while others say I am warm toned. I figure if I stay in the neutral foundations I should be ok. Loved the tutorial! You are what I consider a True Beauty; stunningly beautiful in looks but a beautiful soul & a heart that is pure! Much love! ❤️❤️🥰😍

Thanks for this- you have cleared something up for me- back when I had my colors done forty some odd years ago I was told I was a cool tone... the colors were designated per the seasons... in reality, you have confirmed that I am indeed a neutral toned skin - that being said- it was interesting what you said about natural hair color- I was born with a full head of jet black hair and violet colored eyes- the black hair fell out, and I was a towhead until I was about six. My eyes became green.
By the time I was preteen aged, the red tones were coming out in my hair... no one in my family appreciated the redhead, so at an early age my mom was drabbing my hair to then color it blond... but the red and gold always came back! Somewhere in my mid to late twenties I finally decided to embrace it and now I am a red head ( well ... now at almost 64 I am white, silver & grey lol) and I finally feel like myself! I am embracing colors I had always thought that I did not look good in or did not like... I'm having tons of fun!
Thanks for this video- I'm sure that many of us out here have found it very helpful!
Have a wonderful rest of the week and enjoy the weekend! The set looks great! Kisses to the Man- OSCAR of course!

    • @Phoebe-f4e

Well I’m a decorator , and I’ve noticed that I’m cool tone, olive skin tone, green eyes and of course I’m going natural in my hair color, gray but my gray is more white- ish! And in my home I have mustard yellow pillows and I was holding them and my reflection I noticed in my mirror, and thought gee that color looks good on me! I was shopping in Dallas and came across this sweet light weight sweater and it was that mustardy yellow, and I was out at dinner and wore a black pants and white shirt and put the yellow sweater on and girls, I tell you I got MORE complements and was told how great I looked!!?!! Ladies I swear it was that yellow sweater! So I think some cool tone ladies can wear yellows , but the right yellow! Trust me this color is new too me as well, but the more I wear the color the more I like it on me!!! Blessing to all you gals and God Speed

Thank you! Great info...especially that you do such a fabulous job in naming all your products and techniques, super helpful! I am a cool tone, now a bit more confident in playing with warmer-toned makeup... Thank You! 💖💖💖💖💖

Love those eye colors. When you started with dark pink I didn’t know where this was going. But wow..you really dialed it in. Fantastic!

Good tips. So many colors come in both warm and cool tones. Example; Cool blue-green vs Warm olive green, Cool blue red vs Warm tomato red….love the endless color palette 🎨 !🤓

I do like the bright background. You are so amazing, technically and emotionally! I do hope that I am osmosing some of your techniques, regardless of the fact that I have a tiny fraction of the makeup resources. Your color sensibility is wonderful.

Dominique, would love a tutorial of makeup brushes. Noticed in this video you used multiple size brushes and I always struggle to know which one to use. I have many brushes but not sure what to use when. Thank you and love your videos!

I use the color correctors from Nikol Johnson made for mature skin. On my fair, thin skin they work beautifully and I often don't need a concealer. She makes an eye brightener that lightens the eye area when needed but doesn't look like a lot of makeup has been applied over that delicate area.😊

Dominique, As always another great tutorial. I especially enjoyed your feedback on blue eyes, cool tones with warm shadows. I took a few notes because I find for me if I stay with coloring my hair in a cool tone it becomes me, I've received many compliments with this new color I am wearing, I was wearing a very light blonde for years and as I'm getting older it just washes me out big time, I am 70 and what I was able to get away with in my 50's i can no longer do any longer. Thank you for all you do beautiful lady. xxxxxxS
