- Reverse Feather Swirl Cold Process Soap - reverse feather swirl. Recipe on my blog (link below). My goal was to create a stem of lavender in each bar of soap using the reverse feather swirl. I used herb infused olive oil for the colors and a gear tie for the swirling tool.
This video is a demonstration of me attempting the reverse feather swirl technique. However, if you would like the recipe I used, you can find it on my blog at goo.gl/dvSX3t. I've listed two recipes - the exact one I used and another palm free recipe that I've used since that worked well.
Note: Any temperatures listed are in Fahrenheit.

Katie Miller ...tollhouse doesnt give out their exact recipes with each cookie sale. they want to sell their products not give them away. soapers list ingredients for allergy purposes but not many share exact recipes. why would they? its a lot of work perfecting recipes.

TOP MIX The mold I used in this video is 10" long x 3" wide x 3.5" tall. Hope that helps.
why the clay in the essential oil ?
It's just how I like to add Kaolin Clay to my recipe (I put it in every batch - just something I like to add and totally optional). You can also disperse it in a little distilled water (just until fluid) and add it to the warmed oils. Some soap makers even just dump the powder into the warmed oils, but I find it harder to mix when I do that. Some believe the kaolin clay will help your essential oils last longer in your soap (aka sticking longer), but I've never tested that to be sure. Thanks for asking! :)

Absolutely. I save all the scraps and either re-batch them in my crockpot or make dry laundry detergent with them. Thanks for asking!
