A fantastic Red swirl on the side, Neroil and Gardenia

- Love it. so pretty with the Red colour swirls, I used coloured powders supplied to me by / bodybonbon
and considering the messed up swirl it turned out beautiful, I scented this one with Neroli and Gardenia.

At 6:50-your impromptu soap "glue" to keep the blue mold from flopping. I absolutely LOVE it! I just had this problem 2 weeks ago and it never, ever occurred to me to do that! Wow-what an easy,simple solution-I have to remember this!!

I love your personal dialogue. It gives me an insight into your thinking/problem solving process while you make soap. Hearing you say that the reason it wasn't doing what you wanted was because the white level wasn't high enough was a neat little tidbit. Seeing you change your mind on how you wanted to cut the soap based on what you saw in that the moment was also pretty cool :)

I've watched this a couple of times over the past year or so. Not because of her amazing soap but because it just kills me how she just flips her soap over, cuts one double piece, splits that in half, and all of her soap gets cut the same size and shape. I've tried it once and only once. Maybe I'm stupid in math but all my soaps came out different sizes and I just had to wind of giving most of it away at a loss. It just kills me how she makes this cutting look so simple.

If this red is as awesome as it looks - Body Bonbon should be getting tons of orders for it from this side of the pond. You can always use those trimmed off slices as embeds in another soap. Well use light coloured oils the soap should be a nice cream, TD is the only way to get a true white unless you use a white mica

Jackson Silva that’s too much stirring. Use your stick blender sparingly. Use spatula at first to incorporate oils with lye, then SB in a few 5 second bursts. Finish with spatula. Watch a lot of youtubers.
what do you use as a mold divider? it appears to be metal?

It is TD just keep it an air tight recycled tin..
Vassaline does the trick. Spread a little on the wood then press the mold against it. Wallaa

I am setting up my soaping room and I am curious what you used to cover your soaping table top? it wipes clean so easily.
my benches are cheap doors from bunnings, then i added a rock hard clear coat also from bunnings I am sorry I forget what is it called but you mix it together and it dries hard and clear, its in the paint section
DivaKrod or use a cheap shower curtain or plastic tablecloth from dollar store.sometimes I use shelf liners.

I usually keep them thinking ill reuse them, sometimes i do, but most will go into the bin.

@@whitemilksoapandcandles don't throw the soap scraps away (even the dried scrapings from the bowl before cleanup) - here's an easy recipe from a fellow aussie (Ellie's Everyday) on how to use them (even coloured) to make laundry powder. th-cam.com/video/4dufZ7efqbQ/w-d-xo.html If you prefer a laundry liquid, have a look at lectric.com.au/pages/laundry-liquid (using lectric soda from the supermarket) - either way is easy and inexpensive and such a good clean and uses up those pesky soap scraps. I've also seen the scraps look great as "confetti soap" or rebatched as soap balls ... Your soaps are beautiful and you are a real artist! Thanks for the video.

this isnt melt and pour, its cold process soap, you can watch dean wilson, he is really good with melt and pour, lots of videos to watch..

sodium hydroxide, or caustic soda , is LYE please watch some safety videos on it before you go handling it, it can be very dangerous :0)

Some of the soap turned out pretty, but I think your whole batch would have been successful if you hadn't played with the dark colors on top to the point where they blended together in a not very appealing dark red color. It appeared that the colored soap was very runny and didn't cooperate with the plain soap. Sounds like it smelled good, though.
+Debra Ksicinski I couldnt agree more, I thought I had ruined this whole batch Deb, but when i cut it it turned out amazing, and yes this one sold out within 1 hour of placing it on the table, I wish i could afford more Neroli.....

I just checked it out and it says the powder is water soluble...does that mean it will be OK in cold process recipes? You used that in this recipe, right? Thanks :-)

well she uses it in bath bombs so yeah i guess its ok for CP, when I used this soap the bubbles were red, but it didn't stain me red or anything.
my mica obession is selling a really nice red at the moment, I forget the name of it, but you can check her site as well.
