Instead of using a knife, you could use a deburring tool. I learned about it from Steve McDonald's Arts and Crafts channel. I have one, and it works very well. Love the jewelry, Claire.
Oh wow these look so real!! I love sea glass too and these look so pretty!! What a great technique to create your own!! Love these!! And I love your ‘mistake lessons’ in every video!! Bloody hot glue!! Hate the stuff!
Thank you Doug and thanks for being in the chat ... we have the grand kids while their parents moved in to their new house today .. so it was too difficult to join the chat x it was bath time x lol 😊 ( and yes we have their new address) ha ha ha
I adore sea glass! Yeppers this is definitely the sea glass vibes right here 🙌💯💯. Great thinking Claire.. love them all!!! 🤩✨🌹🌹🌹. Thanks for sharing.. you’re amazing!
HI Claire, WOW I thought your sea glass Pendants looked so lovely & I loved your Creativity thanks for sharing Claire, I am looking forward to watching your Scotland video Lin 👍❤️
Absolutely gorgeous, love sea glass, every time visiting beach I am looking for some. Great technique and I am was convinced from thumbnail that you will work with sea glass 👍🏻♥️🌊
Those are so cute Claire. I’m sure your hot glue stuck so well because you sanded your piece. I always tell people to sand when they want to make sure something will stick to it. But I agree, we all learn something every time we use resin. But now you know for future projects. 😉😉😉love this tutorial.
They’re called jump rings. Very odd name for a circle of wire if you ask me lol. I used to put my sea glass in a rock tumbler to take off any sharp edges. I used to polish my polymer clay beads the same way. Your pieces look fab x
heyyyy Kris thank you so much xxx yeh it was tricky .. we have the grandchildren staying so I could join the chat at that time ... it was bath time x lool they go home tomorrow x
Amazing as always claire, I'm so glad you agree they more green then blue 🤣🤣 but they are gorgeous and the word is jump rings and the pen is in stock at the minute just got some finally 👌
thankyoooooo Paul yes haaaaa I totally saw the green when I was editing haaaaaa x yes the pens are available on Amazon I was looking on my Amazon Storefront site ... they are not available there so I have pinned a comment on my last I will do the same here x
They look great ... and sea glass is easy to find ... go to the beach .... it is simply just glass that have been tumbled and turned in the sand and water ... sometimes nature is an amazing thing when man gives it trash
Heyyyy lovely ... yes this is what I said in the video. Sadly my nearest beaches do not have sea glass at all .. so it would mean a road trip ! how much fun that would be x
I could be repeating someone's comment... regardless... you can make your own sea glass via breaking like wine bottles or chosen glass items and putting them in a rock tumbler (I do not know the exact procedure but I know it has been done) - just thought of this but what if you put the resin in a rock tumbler!!!!?????? I wonder if it would save time on sanding? Absolutely 💯💯💯💯 love your videos!!!
Love these!!!! I am obsessed with sea glass too!!! Do you have a dremel tool? You could probably get those edges using a dremel instead of your knife? X
Beautiful creation I love it ❤️ About the kind of pen you are using (solvent based ?), I once try this on earings and had a problem after some time wearing it because the silver paint react with the skin (acidity ?) and became mat and start to stick on the skin... 😱 Would you please experiment on an other option for the borders ? Sorry if my english sounds weird, I'm french 😅 Thanks a lot for your wonderful work and nice way to explain it 👍✨✨✨
Heyyyy Emy ... oh gosh sorry to hear this happened xx I will make sure I do not use it on Jewellery x I have no plans to make Jewellery but if I hear on one then I will for sure update everyone x Thank you so much 😀
What if you put them in a rock tumbler with some sand and water I imagine that would just be a little bit quicker as far as the sanding goes might even work for getting those rough edges off just a thought haven't tried it but I plan on it thank you love your videos you have a great day everyone have a great day crafting

I cannot wait to try this method! So much simpler than trying to find sea glass in bulk and a little cheaper than buying sea glass in bulk. I love it
I do t know what’s better the art or the art or the commentary! Love them.
ahhh Kim thank yoooo xx
I've not heard of anyone doing faux sea glass but what an amazing project. Absolutely looove, they look so natural, tactile and high end. Fab job. X
thanks so much lovely xxxx
These are so lovely 😁 I would have poked a tapered barbecue skewer through the hole so I could hold the pendant when painting the edges

Its hard to find. I found your frosted video and wow never been more loss😂
Sea glass is so nice because of the feel the weight.
These turned out lovely! Next time you might try using some heat on the glue to try softening it up. Might make it easier to scrape off.
thank you so much Sheryl .. such a great idea I never thought of it xxx
next time try spritzing the hotglue with acetone. the acetone super cools and it should peel quite easily.
ohhh thanks so much great tip xx honestly thought it would peel off haaaaa
Such a brilliant technique! They couldn't be much better if they'd been done with real seaglass and silver.
Thank you soooo much Mizz xx really so happy you like them they were actually so fun to make x

Could you have used heat to soften up the glue for easier removal?
I make sea glass with sand from the atlantic and a rock tumbler. We could trade glass for miniature fish
New here and amazing!! Where can I find that pen PLEASE?? I’m in Canada.
Heyyyyyy Jan .. thankyou x you'll find it on Amazon .. Deco Color 😍😍😍
@@ClairesCraftyCorner thank you!
Here’s a suggestion for a holder…. Use a little kids suction “bulllet” from a toy gun as a holder.
Becky that is actually genius ! thank you x
what kind of silver pen is that?
You could use a heat gun to soften the hot glue lol
Lollipop stick and blue tack would be easier to get of.
Instead of all the sanding I bet using matte uv Gel polish would work in making it less shiny.
ahhhh that might do yes :)
Blu tac, Claire! Not hot glue 😂
How Measure epoxy resin for each silicone molds?
you can fill mould with water and weigh it x
@@ClairesCraftyCorner what I divide it with???
