I hope you are starting to feel better Claire. Rest, relax & curl up to watch a great movie. Get well soon
Definitely too much heat from the lamp. The inlays are fantastic. Wendy does a fantastic job making them. I like when you experiment and mess you a little. You make us laugh. Love you Claire. ❤❤
Generic Amazon tape is the worst with that. Blue moon is my favorite tape. I think those inlays came from the blue moon mold.
That ring looks like the ones you get at Knobles amusement park ,you grab them on the merry- go- round at the beginning of ride then throw them back. Lol Thanks Debby
My goodness are those tiny. Very cute❤❤
These little inlays are gorgeous and no wonder you have fun with them 😊 I’m sorry I missed you at Makers Central on Saturday as I was hoping to meet you. I hope you had a great time 🥰
I actually prefer the curtain ring. It's different & different is definitely my thing 😊 xx
Beautiful inlays! They are so detailed and tiny.
Still came out great 🥰
❤❤❤ wendy's tiny inlays are amazing. She must have the steadiest hands. 🥰🥰
Who’s Wendy?

I think they look amazing, the puddles that the inlays are sitting in make it look more natural like they are sitting in sand 😀
Even if not everything went to plan, the idea is brilliant!
I haven't dared to brave her tiniest inlays yet but the ones I have are still super detailed.
Those inlays are so tiny! They're so adorable but I just know I'd have a massive nightmare trying to work with them, lol! I can totally see your vision for this and the effect is really pretty with the chameleon powders :)
I love your experiments Claire and you amaze me with some of the funny things you come out with (puts a smile on my face😁).
Those inlay's from Wendy are awesome 😍
Love it' myself. Thank you for sharing ❤
great use for shower curtain rings really nice effect too
Such gorgeous little inlays Claire❤❤❤
Love the inlays
Hi Claire totally get you when you said your brain not working mine has been so bad lately, its like my brains not connecting the dots anymore, cant remember a thing 😂, thoes inlays are so cute 😍, thanks for sharing as always ❤❤❤ xxx

"My brain didn't brain." Love Clair-isms!! Have fun a MC!!!🥰🥰 Beautiful results
Love 💕 love 💕 this project ! I understand what you were trying to do & for the most part it came out great. Those inlay’s of Wendy’s are spectacular !! So tiny with so much detail ! Great 😊 job Claire & thank you so much ! I hope you’re feeling better soon
I've made a lot of teeny tiny inlays - you've given me the idea how to use them. Thank you
What a great idea to use the curtain rings with these gorgeous tiny inlays. 😍 Take great care ❤
Super cute!
I love the inlays. If I had to guess I would say that when you used the long neck lighter on your first thin layer it may have melted the tape a little bit.
Beautiful inlays! 😍😍😍
very pretty! the less defines images look like water has started to errode them, still pretty!
Very thin layer 1st round and your lighter for bubbles with the heat from the lamp. Its happed to me until I finally figured out that too thin isnt good on tape.
Claire, I have had the tape sticky adhere to my open bezels. I believe it was a problem with too much heat. At the time, I thought it was a cheap tape. Alcohol does take it off easily but it is a real pain!
I almost wish you would have used the blue inside the inlay areas & a gold or beige around them because the mounds would have looked like they were sunk down into sand. They are still darling though.
Oh my gosh the inlays are absolutely beautiful. They are so tiny. Incredible ❤❤❤
❤😊
Gorgeous inlays and those pigments are beautifuls Claire 💜😍💜.I wonder that man should also watch your videos quite often 😉
Too much time with the lighter and then them not getting cooled before the uv light. So ultimately, yes, too much heat. They're lovely tho!
*SENDS CLAIRE A NEW PAIR OF TWEEZERS.
Also, I bought two great lights for when I photograph my jewelry. I wonder if they'd work for you. But I don't know how to send you the Amazon link.
I think the tape gets like that if you heat it up multiple times under the uv. I've has that issue sometimes.
Could you dust the inlays with mica powder before putting them in the resin? Would the mica power be left behind when you remove them, like when dusting a mold?
Claire, have you tried a "daylight" light? I got a garage light that is about 3 ft long that hangs from the ceiling at a hardware store here in the US and it works well.
Maybe the metal of the curtain ring is better at heat conduction than a bezel? 10:22
I love the inlays. Does Wendi ship to the US?
I hope you're feeling okay and recover from covid quickly.
❤👌🏻👍🏻👏🏻🤩
First off I must apologise for the length of this comment. I am trying to describe a solution to the tape issue & saying it is quick but typing it looks so much longer on here.
10:27 Claire you read my mind. I was thinking that some of the multi layers worked because when you go to the beach you find shells in all sorts of places in the sand & sometimes you get little shallow dips where water has pooled around the shell & then drained away down into the sand giving you these little shallow dishes.
As for the tape, maybe going under the UV light multiple times was an issue. Would it be worth in future peeling the tape off the back after the second curing because the bezel or ring already has the cured resin in it. I understand using the tabs are helpful to move them around but when you mentioned the lollipop stick (when you removed it & had your 🤦🏻♀️moment) made me think to myself that you could make yourself what I can only describe as a pizza tray, the kind you put in a stone oven & has the long handle, do you know what I mean? I was thinking of a couple of different types. The first I would use two wide lollipop sticks & cut them in half. Laying two next to each other, then applying some wood glue to the top of them & then lay the other two pieces of the first two but laying them over the top in the opposite direction. There you have your little platform. If you have some narrow sticks you could wood glue a narrow one to make the little handle. You could lay your pieces in place & hold them using blue tack or push pins. With push pins you could keep them in there so that you can keep putting matching sized bezels without having to keep putting them in & taking them out. Not sure how the plastic bit will stand up to repeated attempts at UV light though so it may require testing. If you can’t get the pin into the wood, trace around a bezel onto your little “pizza 🍕 “tray & then using flush cut pliers, remove the metal pin, rough sand the back of the plastic & glue them down around the outside of your bezel line. Or buy a box of matchsticks or matches (cut the tip off) and glue the matchsticks to make a square shape that will fit your bezel in snuggly. You may need to make it two sticks high for security purposes if you suffer with tremors to prevent you shaking your bezel onto the floor. The other option is using a piece of plastic similar to a lemonade bottle. Using narrow or wide lollipop sticks & cutting them in half again or thirds & making a ring shape. Cut the plastic to size, leaving 50% of the ring uncovered so that you can lay another wooden ring on top of the plastic & the other ring & gluing the layers together. This can be used when using a UV lamp that cures from both sides or uses a mirror underneath, or a bog standard UV light so the light travels through it un-hindered. Hold bezels in place like I mentioned above. You can tip your finished bezel out by turning the 🍕 tray upside down. I hope this helps
Didn’t you already post this before ?
Don't use a lighter on the first layer. It is too thon
