One important note is that turmeric should not be taken by those on blood thinners as it thins blood itself.

Also, those with gallstones, even asymptomatic ones, should avoid effective doses since turmeric stimulates bile production and causes the gallbladder to contract, which in turn can cause stones to move into the bile ducts resulting in blockages.
I’ve never had symptoms, but I learned I had gallstones when I had a sonogram. Many people have them and don’t know.

Then when I could not find the juice I normally get, I tried apple juice and added cinnamon-I didn’t think it would be good, but it was! I had been experiencing considerable vision loss with one of my eyes for a year or so. immediately after starting eating turmeric, that vision loss reversed and now my vision in both eyes is the best it has been in years (I am 53). Although granted, it is not perfect vision, but it is the best it has been in years.

OMGOODNESS 🙌🏻 this is the best Turmeric and Ginger milk I have ever tasted . I added 1 tsp Cinnamon a 1/2 tsp of coconut oil. I also peeled the rind of a lemon and put it in the mix ! but removed the rind before serving, the lemon rind must be carefully peeled so you don’t get the pith which is around the lemon, which is bitter. I loved your idea of sweetening with Majhol dates it makes it very tasty, I used unsweetened Almond milk. Thku Derek

Your channel is the best vegan channel I've seen. The info about curcumin stimulating the enzyme that converts ALA into DHA is ESSENTIAL. DHA omega-3 fatty acids lower triglycerides, and for this reason, a higher omega-3 to omega-6 ratio can completely prevent heart disease. That can be difficult to achieve on a vegan diet because of the omega-6 rich foods commonly consumed. DHA also plays an important role in the production of dopamine, which is a plus.

To detect the presence of lead chromate, mix a teaspoon of turmeric powder with water. If adulterated, it will immediately leak streaks of water-soluble colour.
One of the easiest ways to check adulteration is to add a teaspoon of turmeric to a glass of warm water. Do not stir it and leave it still for a while. Check after about 20 minutes. If the powder settles down at the bottom of the glass with clear water above, the turmeric is pure. Cloudy water indicates possible adulteration.

If you brew kombucha, try adding thinly-sliced or grated fresh turmeric to your secondary ferment. Even better with an equal part ginger. End result is a beautiful golden 'buch with champagne-like carbonation. I usually do 1TBS each ginger and turmeric per half gallon.

Did you know that there are two types of turmeric? The magic behind turmeric lies in Curcumin, most brands use Madras (which has 3.5%), the high end brands use Alleppey (which has 6.5%). It's also important to use turmeric with a bioactivator (such as black pepper).

One way to consume turmeric root is to ........slice it, add salt , add lots of lemon and put all that in a glass jar. Add some pepper corn ( slightly crushed) and a couple of sliced green chilies to add some heat to it. Let it sit for 24 hours.....Viola.......you have turmeric pickle ready to eat along with your meal.......this way you can easily consume 3-4 slices of turmeric every day. 😊🌺🌺
