- The new benchmark for out of the box durability and performance has been set. Here's my thoughts and feedback after multiple hard runs with the new Kraton 6s EXB RTR. This rig is a must have beast!!! Shout out to Fast Track Hobbies and M2C Racing.

What an awesome session you and your son had their Rich beautiful day beautiful background can’t get any better than that. I agree about the new K6 EXB RTR just blown away how durable that truck is love the mid air collision. Andrew is really killing it out there with his fireteam 6s love the white.

I ordered some of the 90mm orange springs and 60wt shock oil and hope to notice some kind of difference . It’s my first big dog and most powerful . Really having a good week becasue of it tbh . The community has been extremely helpful and quick with advice and welcoming .

They are the best 2 bashers hands down. Love my outcast exb an kraton 6s. And nothing beats bashing with the kid's. My boys an my little girl are all hooked an bashing as much as me these day. And i love to watch an drive with them. Even built a granite 4x4 to have the same truck as them. We get 3 granite blasting at 1 time in my small yard an its a blast. Keep up the great work as always brotha!!!! ❤

Andrew switched to running 6s Backflips on his FT quite awhile ago for better air control and overall handling. The stock tires are ok, but the Backflips are about perfect. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Andrew's getting better, solid air control! Tandem jumps are the funnest especially when you get some mid air rubbin' haha

Great bashing rich,good to see you and your son bashing again,got my 1st kraton 6s exb 3 days ago has a castle mamba monster x,lacking in motor, could you advise in a motor or do I need to dump the castle and go for a new duo,as always thanks for the videos and advice,see you on the next one!!!
Thanks so very much Thomas 🤗. Congrats on your new EXB 😱. The Mamba Monster X should work just fine with a standard 6s motor. My experience however is that it might not last with high output bigger motors. I'd drop in a standard 2000kv 4074 and let it rip. A stock Spectrum 2050kv would work just fine, but you'd need 4mm to 6.5mm extensions to plug the motor into the ESC. Another option would be a Hobbywing as they also use 6.5 connectors with long enough wires to plug right in.

Thanks so much Brother 🤗. Andrew is healing every day. He's walking and went on two mellow hikes being careful not to stress his injury. MRI showed a complex grade 2 partial tear of the tendon and biceps femoris muscle. Probably has another 4-6 weeks before he can start testing things more. Definitely see you at Folsom Lake if you make it!!! I'll be there both days. Such a beautiful location and absolutely awesome event 😍

The 6s Kraton exb is one of the few big Arrmas i don't have yet but i love my Fireteam and Notorious. The Fireteam is a tank and crazy good once you earplug the center diff, move the battery tray back and slap on the speed pinion. The body panels are not great but i swear that big heavy cage reinforces everything. It'll take a beating and laugh.

Hi Rich ….have you had any issues with the drive cups breaking I’ve seen lots of the same issue across the internet saying the aluminium housing is the issue

Thanks Brother 🤗. I use an old GoPro Hero 4 for some clips, but am now using a Hero 7 for most of the action clips due to built in stabilization. 🍻

Hey Rich, incredible content! You made me get an EXB too and I’m absolutely loving it - running the Max6 1650kv in mine but experiencing serious chassis slap which is knocking my servos out - any tips as to how you’re getting big air on hard surface landings and surviving?!
I’m running the M2C emulsion shock upgrade too
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. The K6s EXB is so awesome!!! I'd recommend putting spacers under the servo tabs if you think it's hitting the chassis just to raise it slightly. The 1650 Max6 combo is badass. Yes it adds some grams, but the torque and power is killer. Chassis slap is normal. You might try heavier fluids like 100 weight plus. Also make sure the M2C piston slits are facing downwards in the shock bodies.

No problem Brother 👊. I'm running mostly Ovonic 5200mah 50c and Zeee 4000mah 100c. If chassis slap seems too extreme, remember the standard 6s Backflips will give you more clearance and the bigger diameter absorbs more impact.

How much of a difference does the Max 5 make with the Outcast 8s stock motor. I run a 30/39 it stays decently cool cause it’s only been in the 50s. Good to see Andrew back out there
Thanks Brother 😊. Awesome to get Andrew back out ripping his Fireteam!!! The extra amps does make a noticeable power difference. The stock motor can achieve it's potential. These big 8s rigs deserve 200+ amp ESCs.

Agreed 100% with ARRMA blowing up with the real value Steven 👊. The K6s EXB was a home legit run 🚀🚀. Andrew has several weeks of hobbling around thanks to overdoing leg day 😂. He felt a big pop doing straight legged dead lifts with 315lb. Think he learned his lesson about going too heavy 🍻🤙🤙

I have a question for ya. I have the exb v1. I keep stripping diffs. I probably get 2 packs out of mine before they start making noise. They are shimmed, i dont land on power. Is the 4990 from hobbywing just a diff killer or am i missing something else?
Oh and P.S. i put a brand new housing on the front and still blew it out first run.
Hey Brother 🤗. I generally recommend adding 1 or 2 bearing shims to the crown gear side bearing. Double check you don't have any hairline cracks in your diff cases allowing the gears to slip on power. Also inspect your gears closely for flat spots in the teeth. The V1 had mostly internal rear diff problems, but I think it was due to improper assembly from the factory on some units. Bigger power can add stress, but the wheel size matters even more. Hopefully you're not running super heavy wheels. Those are diff killers 🍻

@@richduperbash2966 thanks again. Last question. These ramps can you sit em right side by side none or minimal gap for a wide target? Noticed on vids some gap but maybe on flatter ground they meet up snug?
There's a small gap in the center with both ramps side by side due to their design. This doesn't create a problem. Best to aim for the center, but I've used these ramps for years without issue. It helps to stake them down when possible. I use 10" galvanized 3/8 nails from Home Depot.

The new kraton is definitely the ultimate 1.8th scale out right now. Quick question rich, about the new m2c Kraton exb chassis in the picture I don’t see the two holes for the new rear brace just wondering if you could shed some light on this for me. I finally ordered some vitavon bulkheads for my v1 and I have the new t2t and the new shocks. My old ones were shot. just having some temp issues with my exb I’m running the hobby star 1480 one 23 50 and the back of my motor was 190. Just wondering what you run on you v3? If that’s not too big of an ask(:
Yeah this latest K6s EXB is friggin awesome 😱. Just confirmed with Avery they added a second hole to the chassis's to fit the new style rear brace 👍. I'm guessing they didn't update the online photo. I've ran 23/50 gearing with my 1480 Hobbystar, but generally only with the lighter 4s Backflips. My V3 still ripped hard. My original motor is still going strong. Temps would pass 160F on occasion during 100F + days running wide out, but usually stayed below 150. 22/50 gearing works well too.
Ok thank you for checking with them. maybe I’ll go to the lps. I changed the pinion to a 21 t I hope that works a bit better for the bigger tires. I had started out on a 21t but thought that I would be fine with taller gearing. I hadn’t run it yet very much on the 21 because of winter but I’ll give it another go.
I just tried it yesterday and power was really good on the 21 although I didn’t get to test the temperature

Thanks Brother 😁. Yes indeed, family runs are the best. The new aluminum bulkheads should work on any of the 6s ARRMA's. Definitely will fit the V4 Kraton despite traditional vs EXB gears. 🍻
I broke my wing mount the other day. Shoveled it into the ground pretty hard. Lol
Ohhhh damn 😂. Yeah I've heard of guys breaking these new mounts, but they're a huge improvement over the older ones. Especially where they attach at the rear chassis brace. The way I see it, there still has to be a failure point for really bad hits. Better than blowing out a tower or busting a bulkhead.
Dear Arrma, please give us the Mojave equivalent next!
How does the toughness of the Outcast 4S V2 compare to this? I'm looking for a 4S truck that doesn't break all the time like my Redcat Kaiju.
The Outcast V2 is definitely tough, but I'd recommend an M2C chassis brace. The composite chassis can crack with enough abuse. Overall the K6s EXB can take more punishment.
Still need to do some wrenching after that last bash. 😂

Quick question, do you guys hit the jump at full speed or no?
I do like to hit jumps near full speed for max air and distance. That said, sometimes you want to leave some wheelspin before takeoff to complete triples...etc.

Big Red is sporting a Hobbystar 980kv 56112 with Max5 and 34/39 gearing. She screams with MX57's and doesn't overheat 😍. She was running with budget Zeee 7200mah 80c 4s hard packs.

It's definitely not worthy of crashing into a pole at 50 mile an hour I don't even know what I broke It was a nasty crash but surprisingly the chassis didn't bend from my experience but nice bash

I can't knock the new Slash, but my Slash Ultimate was an upgrade money pit 😂. This new Kraton EXB RTR is the best value hands down for all around bashing 😍

He's running standard diffs, just tuned and shimmed.
