Those Method RC tires perform really good👍 I liked how it was looking with the 30T. Looked like a stunt truck. I installed the Max 5 and 780kv motor, ran with the 26T pinion in my gen1 RTR and left me wanting more. I upped it to the 30T and just waiting for the weather to permit.
I really dont like how even the EXBs are now RTRs. Putting your own electronics in them was one of the best things. Especially not having that underpowered Max6 combo.
@@spenn2007 A Max5 combo was 300 for a long time, a good Servo 50 and a RTR grade radio 30; so 380 for all of the electronics. Count in the cost for an EXB roller and you only ended up with around 50-60 more then the non-EXB RTR. But now you have FAR better electronics then stock and all the EXB goodies. At least its a 56 can now and not the undersized 49 can.
As far as 8s rigs go, how do you like the outcast compared to the kraton, like ground handling and jumping wise? Do you prefer one or the other, even if just a little bit? I have a o8s and I’m thinking of doing a kraton conversion just to switch things up. I wish I could drive a k8s to see how I like it.
I converted my O8s to a full vitavon chassis which made it convert to Kraton size. I will say I honestly like the handling on the outcast way better. Thale chassis length makes air control lag
First Thanks for your videos on the Outcast, they were one of the reasons I brought one. Quick Question, I took it out for the first time yesterday and one of the wheel nut flew off. Do you put thread lock on your wheel nuts? Didn't see that in the instructions.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs Just FYI, I ordered the tires and used your discount code. Just wondering how were you able to change the settings on the ESC? The SmartLink programmer doesn't work. It keep stating that the software needs to be updated on the ESC. They seem to be aware of the issue and awaiting an update.
Hi Jay great video buddy. Yeah I see you loving the outcast 8s again. That new V2 exb Is awesome. I have on mine 27/39 gearing ans I love it. Temps can get alittle high in hot summer days but right now it's great. Got thr max 5 G2 with the G1 1100KV 5687 motor.

You need a downside to the jump.. landing it flat is the reason so many people just destroy their trucks.. If you have ever jumped a dirt bike onto a flat landing, you would understand what your doing to it..

I run 39/39 with a 800kv in my K8s. And it's a monster.

Go with a Powerhobby tornado 40mm 16k rpm fan. It's plugs right into your receiver and is an absolute game changer.
K8/O8 use a 50mm motor fan.
I have seen stock set up with the speed pinion in the box do 58.

Check your diffs as well they may be low on fluid which will cause overheating

Not on this truck. Some smaller trucks I have had that issue.

I prefer the 800kv. The 1100kv is nice. But the 800kv geared properly is better.

Rear center bearing? They had a bad batch that caused that to happen and it's been fixed forever ago.
Traxxas is way better with customer service. Arma wouldn’t even replace it. The part that was broke and I had only had it for eight days.
