The big helos in game are based on the real world Bell 407 series which in turn are basically updated and evolved UH-1 (military) and 204/205 (civilian) Hueys. I know that's not really the same but with a Vietnam themed skin, they'd pass for Hueys.
Yeah maybe get be too over powered for the campaign, Also I’m pretty sure Far Cry 5 is going for Vintage weapons and planes, Like how mostly all the fighters are From the World war and some weapons are based off WWII such as the MP40, MG42, mounted weapons like the M2 or 50. cal and even the Dog fighter as an American P50 Mustang or any other U.S. fighter in WWII
I love how, at point blank range, an M60 dors no damage. Also, why is it, that every game you play with a sniper rifle, the sniper rifle sways uncontrollably? No weapon does that in real life. None.
@@Rambow145 Ive fired weapons..scopes, no scopes, and never once did a weapon sway up and down, left and right in an uncontrollable manner. Sniper rifles in just about every game is pointless because of this. lol
It's game "balancing". Because "realism" isn't fun for the majority of people. "Realism" meaning any weapon is a one shot kill and it's actually possible to hit stuff with them.
Because most games don’t want to painstakingly program realistic Bullet physics so they do lazy stuff like scope sway to make it not feel like a boring laser fest
Youre both wrong. The Thompson M1 and the M1 Carbine were used extensively. Also there was an M2 Carbine identical to the M1 but full-auto with a 30rds mag.

Those guns look so dissapointing, nearly the exact same stats as the normal guns if not the same. Far cry 5 really missed the mark with gunplay. If only they made new Dawn as large as 5 they would have made a game to surpass their previous games

There was so much potential for this DLC. Could’ve added in an M3 grease gun, SKS, Huey, Vietnam era fatigues... damn shame
@Paul & Maria Collins SKS was used by the vietcong, they picked up everything they could find, that includes surplus weapons like the SKS.

no they were used side by side, and still are, different roles, the m14 was more specialized
