Thanks for the video guys I just got back into scootering yesterday for the first time in about 7 yrs since I last rode, I been looking to make some jumps and stuff to ride at home and get some more practice in and this looks like it would be easy enough to make surely it beats spending upwards of $1000 online for a ramp that’s probably not that good quality and least with these ones you can build them and make sure they are solid and what you want, appreciate ya
Pro tip: 1/2" plywood bends just fine and will be stronger than 2 layers of 1/4", especially when making something mellow like a kicker. If doing a mini-ramp or something bigger and a bit tighter of a radius, 2 layers of 3/8" plywood is ideal, but one layer of 1/2" will still work.
Hey guys I just wanted to say that I really like your video's, even though I mostly skate and barely scooter anymore, you always inspired me to go scootering and you still inspire me to go skating as much as I can.
Which ramp shape would be better for learning tricks off of and more for a beginner to intermediate rider, because I’m thinking of building one for my TH-cam channel, but I din’t know which ramp is better to use
Hey dudes good work! But one thing I noticed is that you are using the wrong type of screw to secure the Masonite. I forgot the technical name but the heads of the screws should be flat and you should be pre-drilling them. This comment might not be a lot of help but I'm sure you can google or ask home depot employs to help you out!
If you have the money, I think a longer flatramp more like 4' would work better (5' of wood), possibly with a slight transition at the bottom. Making the receiving ramp actually like a tiny A-frame is also an idea if you don't want to build a middle but also don't want to case into a complete wall.
If your leaving it outide the osb they used for the transition would suck because it absorbs water causing it to expand and contract. Like to get to top and eductate people
The 2x4 supports really shouldn’t be run with the 4” side to the surface of the ramp, they can flex a lot more in that orientation, vs. having the 2” side to the surface of the ramp
I know that you’re probably not responding to comments six months later but I want to make a kicker but I don’t know what’s better, the curved or the straight?
Connor Harmon either works. Curved might feel smoother in some ways but straight will be easier to make. Both work to an extent. All depends on what you have. If you can, add a metal lip on the bottom to make the transition smoother.
Is it just me who wants to see a full video of them riding this or like a game of scoot
Rowan Martin me
If you type up watermelon scooters that's what I am getting

Was looking for this comment!
You didn't really state what we needed to build this at home well. I'm gonna build it with my dad. Can I get a materials list please?
