Do coaches play bad players(who were high picks)because they think they’re good or are they playing those inferior players because they are trying to increase their trade value? I think that’s an option we don’t consider because no coach would outright say that to the media.
Monty was horrific playing all bench 2way contract players half the game 7 minutes stretchs in quarters. Pistons starter had leads a ton of times & he do all bench to put Cade in company 10-20 points in the hole every game to fight uphill to lose be 10 or less most games. Sup Mike. I'm a BIG PISTONS FAN!! Also born and raised here. Basically, we were robbed by Monty Williams and his supporters. The supporters of Monty Williams, are happy about supporting this man and getting him here, and took advantage of an NBA franchise that was considered the "Siberia of the NBA". Is criminal activity anywhere, promoted and supported, when a plethora of business and entertainment professionals can eat from the plate of food being offered for services? Lastly, only the toughest and hungriest NBA players can play here, and the lot of NBA athletes are pretty spoiled these days. We need the hungry guys this league needs to offer, and they will have to be ok with being outcasted their entire lives professionally, because they chose to eat (Win an NBA Championship).
"at all whatsoever" is the same as saying you're a "male man" or a "famous celebrity" or.... you should get the idea. Pick one or the other. This shit hurts my brain.
The problem today is NBA TEAM betting on a rookies that may or may have potential. They pay millions on that and not let the player/rookie earn his name first. What this make they made those new blood arrogantly lazy. They do not put efforts on their training to improve.
I remember several HC jobs ago people were saying this dude was a genius and would be the best coach in the NBA. Media creates their own narratives and usually got nothing to do with Reality. And you don't want to get on their bad side either.
People forget part of a good career besides your raw talent is the development team. Maybe they should look at what they are doing to turn their potential into reality
Thank you for a Pistons video, Mike, it's a nice departure from the Lakers, Lebron, Wemby and Caitlin Clark. I'm elated that Monty is gone. He and Troy Weaver should've been fired when they reached loss #20 in a row. Monty showed no fire for the team during games when it comes to arguing fouls, no passion for his job and benched Ivey for that bum Killian. Cade is our future but if he doesn't get some decent vets that can help him, he'll be going nowhere with hapless youngsters, wasting talent and prime years. Langdon, please for the love of God, sign some good vets and get this team back to contenders!
Piston fan here. Happy about Monty getting fired. I don't think he was the right person to hire in the first place. The Pistons need a coach who is going to focus whole heartedly on this team and the development of it. I hope Trajan Langdon makes some roster moves but I'm not banking on this roster being a contender in the next year. I think it's going to take some serious crafting of trades and free agents, along with player development. I'm hopeful for the future, I'm just not banking on this team being great any time soon.
What logic does that make when Monty Williams gets fired in favor of Stephen Silas? The NBA hates teams that do shit like this and they punish them by fucking them over on the NBA draft lottery.
IMO Williams needed another season to fix the situation. It really is the owners (Gores) fault for creating this carousel of microwave results (firings 14- present). I personally didn’t want Williams but if he was that coach that has turned things around go for it. This young team needs a tougher coach M Jackson, K Atkinson, Brett Brown types who have developed rosters like this . If Gores would let the management under him work at building it up it wouldn’t be as bad but not getting draft luck hurts too as there is no way a team should draft 5th 2 years in a row regardless of if they were tanking as a narrative was set in both last years draft ( Spurs building a training facility) & this years draft. ( The Hawks have never gotten the 1st pick). If the team was top 3 like the Rockets 2(21), 3 (22), & 4(23) this could be a different scenario but the fact remains that getting a top 3 pick should have happened for this team which shows that the draft lottery is fixed. So as a fan I have to watch this team like I did in the Lanier era and Bad Boy era of , not to mention the G Hill defection and be patient for the right coach & management to take the team back to respectability.
Killian Hayes was linked to the pistons since Joe dumars spotted him . He was also trained by ex pistons will Bynum. That’s why killian got so many chances and never was sent to the G-league not even for one game. Gores is also responsible for the Blake griffin trade. Weaver never wanted Monty. It’s the owner who gave Monty the morning even after he said he didn’t want to coach. Not to mention gores with Philly Jackson hired Moe cheeks, the fastest fired head coach in nba history.

He destroyed Iveys confidence, stunted ausars growth, and had Cade who played great all year drowning with poor coaching decisions. Idk what anyone says about the roster it wasn’t good but Monty dump gasoline on the fire. Glad he’s gone!
Yea, everything you said is facts and it was easy to see if you actually followed the team this season, it's amazing how people who never watched a game can come up with the opinions they have
The pistons decided to participate in No win November instead of No shave November. 😂
You mean No nut november
These new intros are 🔥🔥
"at all whatsoever" is the same as saying you're a "male man" or a "famous celebrity" or.... you should get the idea.
Thank you for posting vid on my Pistons. Idc if its positive or negative 😂
Pistons should go to G-league or freeze operations until further notice. They have been run horribly since the 2004 championship.
I think the Pistons should hire a legend of the team to save them and make Dennis Rodman GM and coach. 😅
Monty Williams making more money than half the nba players without even working is crazy
I feel bad for pistion fans
Facts 💯
lol our plan is to just rock with the lions
As a Detroit Fan I’m honestly left with no hope for the future…I’ve been waiting for a good team since Chauncey Billups left 😂
And somehow Chauncey Billups is still employed in Portland.
Bro you’re asking a regular human being to turn a shiny turd into gold
Killian Hayes was linked to the pistons since Joe dumars spotted him . He was also trained by ex pistons will Bynum. That’s why killian got so many chances and never was sent to the G-league not even for one game. Gores is also responsible for the Blake griffin trade. Weaver never wanted Monty. It’s the owner who gave Monty the morning even after he said he didn’t want to coach. Not to mention gores with Philly Jackson hired Moe cheeks, the fastest fired head coach in nba history.
lmaoo i hate when bad teams just fire coaches just because😂 this is insane
I’m happy they didn’t take Tyrese being a Pacers fan…
As a life long Pistons fan; this was the worst season we’ve ever had… the only way is up. That’s all I got🤷🏽♂️
Halleluiah! Bye Monty, hope that not see u again.
How funny would it be if they traded Cade and Jalen for draft picks
The Pistons might want to draft more foreign players rather than Americans.
Monty is a genius! Pretty good pay for two years!
Shiiiit... that's ish is fixed. we were neverrrrr gonna get Wemby
