Friendly PSA for those unaware: Yes the GX87 is available online from resellers like Aliexpress, Taobao and Shopee for as low as $80 and below and those are definitely genuine GX87's from MCHOSE but the main differences with those units are the lack of qmk/via compatibility and the switch choices are an entirely different selection to what I showed off in the video So before pulling the trigger on an in stock unit a bit of research can save alot of headache 😅

Thank you for doing a 200% better job than MCHOSE did on explaining all the variants and price differences. I'm not sure their who pricing model/breakdown is a good thing in regards to marketing and sales. There's a pretty big difference between $59 and $129 and they spent more time in their video showing off that it has tri-mode connectivity. I'm grateful for your informative review! My hope in this board is partially restored. Excellent content as always!

For a keyboard with wifi/bluetooth connectivity options like this one, their connectivity efficiency/performance should have also been reviewed but unfortunately not. It would be great to know if there is any lag when using either one of these options especially for gamers

I ordered the mid-level variant rather then the ultra you tested. I haven't received my board yet, but I was reviewing the Indiegogo description and it was consistent with what you said except in a final chart it made clear that the ball-catch system is only provided with the Ultra model. My board will use screws, lots of screws. Bummer, huh? Maybe you could be more careful in your reviews? Any interest in buying my board when it arrives? I'll sell at a discount.
At around 4:43 I left a clear indicator via an editors note on-screen explaining that the GX87 Lite and Max variants use case screws and that the Ultra variant is the only one with a ball-catch system Maybe watch the video in its entirety in more detail before placing an order next time? 😅

So I was going to buy this. Then noticed they have a spot on their page about press coverage. It's all fake, one of them is a new station here in Iowa that 100% doesn't cover keyboards. I asked them about it, gave them a chance to explain and they first kept just telling me they'd look at it and to go buy the keyboard before time runs out. Then I said wow this is shady. They responded for real finally and kept changing their story about the team looking at it, then the team was on vacation... I just can't support a company that is shady and lies like that.
Just know that it's 59 PLUS SHIPPING which is an extra 25 from CHI CH CH CHINA! So it comes out to a total of 84 bucks! Which I'm not gonna lie, is still an incredible deal for this keyboard. Oh yeah that extra 25 is for ALL the versions they offer btw.. so, not to much of a discount honestly lol (except the 59 dollar one)
Stop making it such a big deal about PCB stabs. You haven't considered that PCB stabs requires swapping out the plates as well and lets be fair, this mass produced board does not comes with any spare alternative plate which renders PCB stabs useless anyways. Also, it's 2024 now and plate stabs have come a long way and in my experience it's way better than PCB stabs. The stock spacebar PCB stabs on my Cycle7 ticks like no tomorrow but once I swapped the plate and installed plate stabs, no noise whatsoever.
what do you mean. Is he just not supposed to mention the fact that the board doesn't support them? Having the option of PCB stabs is always a benefit and even though it isnt the biggest deal in the world, its important to a decent amount of people

Having the option is nice, but not in this board when the stock plate is strictly meant for plate stabs, and no aftermarket plate options. Having PCB stab options in those high-end custom boards where there's multiple plate options that come stock, that you can choose? Yes that's definitely worth praising; PCB stabs on this board? Nope, just rock the stock plate stabs (and it's a good one) and don't worry about it.
