I think it could have been a super sweet thing that she knew she wanted him from the beginning but the fact that he completely leaned into it and made it a whole personality of their relationship. For example of the opposite, my husband and I met and stayed as friends months. I made the first move, and it came out later that I wanted him from the jump which shocked him even more because he didn’t even contemplate he’d have a chance. He says, to this day, he’s still in disbelief because he thinks I’m just way above his league (really really not true). Similarly, even after 15+ years of being told how still pinches himself, I certainly appreciate feeling appreciated and honestly like a rock star sometimes even though it’s quite silly (and hopefully he’s the same - being reminded how mad I was about him from the start and acted on it!), neither of us walk around going well YOU wanted me first or you wanted me more first therefore I’m the prize. That’s embarrassingly infantile, relationships should make you feel empowered and amazing - that you’ve won in your OWN life, not that you’ve won in the relationship or others life and that you are the prize.
So the fact that she wanted him from the first moment is a fact, which does not make him actually being a prize a fact - just that that was her perspective. He however leaned into that clearly. And also that’s so common isn’t it - some girl falls madly for a guy then he thinks he’s the shit because of that no matter what the reality of it is 😂

The reason people are upset is because when you are a couple you should be a united front. To come out and say she’s the winner because I’m the prize is arrogant and makes no sense.
for you to tell your girlfriend I’m more of a prize than you makes no sense. I would want to be in a relationship where we both value each other and understand we both won by finding each other. It shouldn’t be a competition ideally
No there is a hierarchy in relationships men are the head of the household so she's right. Get over yourself

I’m talking about desire and value. Would you want to be with someone who thinks they are doing only you a favor by being with them? That you are lucky to be with them vs you both being lucky to be with each other ?
Men and women need each other but this generation is more focused on competition than being united.
@@Joshua-eo5hrwhat is that even supposed to mean? Are men organizing the household, coordinating schedules and groceries, chores and food? Men are usually not in charge of the household. Even if woman and man are both working the woman is usually the one taking on the responsibility of keeping everything at home running.

He can think he is the prize all he wants, that’s his perspective. What I found weird about that interview was the fact that he claimed not to know who she was before they met which is unbelievable, and I will tell you why. This man is an athlete in America. I am a young lady who literally does not watch sports, and I live in Nigeria. I have known Simon biles for years. I have never watched the Olympics or anything sports related and I know her. So I think he is lying and playing in her face, and for her sake, I hope I am wrong because she seems like a sweet girl. I just cannot fathom that an American athlete does not know Simon biles, but a Nigerian girl like me, who is not into sports has known her for years. Make it make sense. Even the men that conducted the interview were side eyeing him when he said he didn’t know her. Even they could tell he was lying.

I gave up even caring about what people think relationship dynamics should work. This will not go away until Jesus comes, just gonna be new "arguments" being pulled out their ass until then
