These guys were actually Rockers. Rock and Roll had alot going for it, then in the mid 60's it went into the toilet. The County Rockers brought it back. It's sad that mainline County is, now as disgusting as mainline Rock/Pop.

I saw them open for Hank Jr in the old omni convention Center in Atlanta in 91 or so, the drummer did a drum solo for what seems like 10 minutes man, he wailed on them things . after he was done he jumped over the drum set and did a shirtless pose down that Arnold Schwarzenegger would have been proud of. Pretty awesome concert all the way around
You should here him live from about 10 feet away, saw them in Ohuio 1988 for 4 bucks

That this song peaked at #25, back then, tells you how great the music was in those days. To me this was a strong candidate for the best country song of the year, and I don't care where they put it on the charts. This song grows on you, and you sing along with it, so many others you get tired of and they burn out from too many listenings. I think this is one of the most inspired songs of it's time, for all the elements coming together so beautifully.

Remember, their first record was called "Pickin' On Nashville" And Nashville DOESN'T like to be picked on. I just saw The Heads in concert last Summer and the people I was with were younger than me, and they could not BELIEVE how much they jammed!

I had the honor of meeting them in a Jonesboro, Arkansas Wal-Mart in 1991!🤠 They were set to play "Pickin' on Nashville" at the A.S.U. Auditorium. I took off my tshirt & had everyone of them sign it! That was one of my #1 memories!💝

Thanks to the crappy radio stations everyone keeps wondering what happened to these guys. This band never disappeared and continues to make great music today. They didn't leave...it was the stinking radio that stopped playing great bands like this. It's only a matter of time when Bro Country will be history too! The only difference is artists like Kentucky Headhunters, Shenandoah, Restless Heart, Little Texas, Confederate Railroad, Hal Ketchum, Diamond Rio had real talent and never deserved to fade away into obscurity.
